This was a get away with my wife daughter and our 3 dogs. The cottage was easy to find and just how the description and photos portrayed it. The owners have made a great job of equipping the cottage and all the furniture was clean and comfortable especially the bedrooms. The bathroom was downstairs which wasn’t ideal when we had 3 dogs asleep in the kitchen but it was a small price to pay. There is a parking space to the back of the property but it is a tight squeeze if you have a larger SUV or similar but there is parking on the road. The local pub was lovely but advisable to book in advance.

What a beautiful cottage! We loved the wood burner and the cosy vibe. The kitchen was super well equipped. Gorgeous garden. Very peaceful - so enjoyable lying in bed listening to the birds sing! Tealby is a picture perfect village with a great village shop and an old thatched pub. Our host was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend all round.

We enjoyed a few wonderful days at Cosy Cottage. It’s in a great location in the middle of this pretty village, with an easy walk to the local store, cafe and pub. The cottage was even lovelier than the photos, warm and comfortable, nicely designed and with some great added touches. The welcome basket was much appreciated, as well as all the little “labels” meaning it was easy to feel at home. The bedding and bed were heavenly, and there was everything we needed for our stay, including excellent WiFi. We would love to return another time.

This is a perfect place to stay, a real home from home. Sometimes an Airbnb feels as though it has been furnished and fitted out simply for guests. Travelnest felt as though we had been invited into someone’s loved home. The additional touches of being able to use items left in store cupboards, the honesty box in the drinks cupboard with a note inviting you to have a drink was a really lovely touch. The Lincolnshire Wolds is a new area for us and one we will return to. Travelnest was a perfect place to explore from and we will definitely return.

Charming comfortable cottage in an beautiful village.

Homely and comfortable and had everything you would need for a stay including the small things like spices and oil and sugar etc things that if your only in a place for a short time you don’t want to spend money on something you only need a pinch of and can’t take away with you. Perfect location beautiful village.

Nothing not to like.

Beautiful house with all the added extras you may have forgotten and lots of thoughtful touches. The kitchen is extremely well equipped if you like to cook and there are thoughtful things like pepper, salt, oil etc as well as a gift basket with eggs, crisps and biscuits. The village shop is a community shop only open in day but good to support however for actual supplies you can stop at a large Tesco in Market Rasen and farm shops for added extras. There’s a vintage tea rooms in the village that’s worth booking but was open when we went without arranging, the village pub does good food and there are many places a short drive either way. You are directly on the Viking way for walks and the house and garden itself are fab for resting up and relaxing. I’d happily go back and think I will look to book again later in the year!

Absolutely smashing place. We stayed 3 nights and both the house and the surroundings were wonderful. The house itself was very comfortable, very well specced with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owners, Phil and Kay, were very helpful and responsive to any questions we had and they kindly provided a welcome basket with some goodies as well as a pint of milk in fridge. A lovely touch and much appreciated after a long drive. There is also parking to the rear (albeit quite a tight space so larger cars may struggle to fit) and a nice garden for sitting outdoors. Tealby itself was fantastic, loads of walks straight from the house, a lovely tea room, a village shop with a little park next door and a superb pub, The Kings Head. The food there was delicious. I also want to say how friendly everyone we met was, a really welcoming place. We'll definitely return and I would recommend to others.

Lovely Lincolnshire

Gorgeous little countryside gem. The village is lovely, great local walks straight from the door. Beautifully decked out throughout and the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need or want. It's a real home from home. Nice secure garden for a dog too. Be sure to visit the local Tearoom but the local pub (Kings Head) seemed lacking in atmos and the food was average so would avoid

We really loved our stay with our two dogs. It was a perfect get an away and we loved visiting Lincoln. We enjoyed 4 good long walks, so did our two Labradors! What a beautiful unspoilt part of the world. The countryside is gorgeous and we also thought the walking was great because with dogs I worry about livestock but mostly walks were very well fenced off from stock so u definitely recommend going for a walking holiday. Pub in the village is very friendly and a very short walk from the house. Excellent !

By far one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at. It’s so pretty and clean and comfortable but the effort that the hosts go to was amazing. They cater for your every need from dog treats to gin & tonic & slippers for each guest. They had thought of everything & left lovely notes through the cottage. I was visiting for a family funeral & there is nothing more wonderful than the place you are staying being utterly perfect. I’d would highly recommend.

This was by far and away the best experience I've had with a property. The property itself was perfect throughout, beautifully decorated, a really cosy vibe, really well thought out notes left all over the property. The thing that stood out the most for me was how well stocked the place was. From kitchen equipment, to art supplies in a drawer, board games, dog treats, a little basket of nibbles, wood for the fire, coffee pods, I could go on and on. This is a beautiful little cottage in a beautiful location and the hosts have very clearly put a huge amount of love, thought and time into it. Could not recommend highly enough.

This property was so well equipped over two other properties we had stayed in. There was everything you needed and a friendliness and generosity from the hosts unmatched by others. We didn't need to use many provisions as the earlier stays meant we had had to buy everything and cart it up and down the country with us. But the fact everything was there, a great help and back up and i wish the other places would be half as organised. The cottage is small with tricky stairs for the elderly perhaps, with a downstairs bathroom. but there was a lovely garden and parking space around the back/ Quiet and cosy . Just perfect

An enjoyable stay in a beatiful rural with the convenience of local ammenities.

Opportunity to step out of the front door and follow a choice of good local walks in an exceptionally pleasing rural environment. Nice pub very nearby with good food and real ale, served by friendly staff. Comfortable, cosy environment in the cottage. A generous 'welcome pack' of provisions was much appreciated.

Only some minor things: instability of twin nest of glass-topped tables needing great care with drinks on top; insufficient detail of instructions for use of some appliances, e.g microwave, induction (?) hob; front downstairs dimmer switch not dimming lights, door of main bedroom liable to bang on picture frame behind it; some window blinds tending to catch or not fold. There was some difficulty briefly trying to park directly outside at the end of the week's stay in order to reload luggage in the car.

Almost Perfection

The location was beautiful and the property itself was decorated to a high standard. The owners had thought of everything. We had great quality and comfortable surroundings. On the whole, the standard of cleanliness and facilities was excellent.

There were a few things that would have made our stay a 10/10.... There is a lovely dog bed and complimentary provisions for our pooch which is so thoughtful! There was a large, unpleasant looking stain on the dog bed and our dog wouldn't use it due to the scent. There were similar stains on the lovely bed throw - not sure if this was from a previous four legged visitor. The rest of the property was immaculate. The shower could be better. It was adequate and plenty of hot water but the pressure wasn't great. It just seems a shame that the shower isn't the same excellent standard as the rest of the cottage. We tend to choose peaceful locations as we have a 10 month old baby and as a family, all end up going to bed early. Unfortunately, the neighbour played loud music / TV on Fri & Sat night. Being an old terraced property, I guess the sound proofing isn't as efficient as modern properties. It did disrupt our evening and disturb the baby however, the noise did stop around 11.30pm. We heard nothing on Sunday. He also parked the car half over the steps to the cottage, so getting in and out with the pram was difficult as we were concerned about not hitting the car on already steep steps. Overall, these are things which did not massively affect the enjoyment of our stay and we would return / recommend to friends. We had a wonderful time, hence scoring 9/10.

We are a family of 4 and had a fantastic stay at the cottage over Christmas 2021! Tealby is a lovely village with great walks and a legendary pub (Kings Head). The hosts left us some yummy treats in the kitchen and plenty of logs for the stove - much appreciated! This cottage is dog friendly and well set up for it - not being dog lovers we are sometimes dubious about staying in such cottages - but this cottage is spic and span with no trace of dog! In Market Rasen (10min drive away) there is a large Tesco and several take away options. We had a fantastic stay and the hosts were very responsive via SMS (if your on Vodafone you won't get a signal in the village by the way) giving clear check-in instructions etc. Would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the Lincolnshire Wolds!

The cottage is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated throughout. It’s a real home from home and feels like staying in a friend’s house rather than an anonymous holiday rental. The owners have thought of everything and generously provided so many touches you wouldn’t usually get. There’s even a drinks cabinet with an honesty box for payment. The dogs weren’t forgotten and had surprise treats provided too. The village is fabulous. Friendly people and walking from the doorstep. If you like to take your crafting on holiday you may need to take a daylight lamp to work as the cottage doesn’t have much natural light. The owners are really communicative and so helpful with our enquiries.
