Excellent apartment. Clean, comfortable and very convenient, one short walk to the harbour area in the heart of Anstruther. Free on street parking. Would highly recommend.

Exceptionally modern, clean & well presented apartment. Interesting style and feel due to the loft like experience. Every amenity - provided. Location is ideal. Harbour, pubs, restaurants and shops just a few steps away. Park for stretching dogs legs, a few minutes away. Family was bowled over by the feel of this place. Highly recommended.

This is not 4 in a bed. Nothing could be possibly faulted.

Beautiful apartment tastefully decorated light and spacious , comfortable beds quality bedding and towels.Bathroom is lovely great bath and shower. Everything in the kitchen we needed very nice! Comfortable seating area were we watched TV as the weather was dreadful. We will visit again and recommend ‘The Loft’ to our friends loved it!

Amazing place! Very, very clean and great location just off the sea front. It was the perfect place to stay, complete with comfy beds and a huge bath. Would stay again and recommend to anyone. The only small suggestion would be for visitors to bring eye masks/ for blinds to be fitted in the velux windows in the bedrooms, it was very bright! Thank you for a lovely stay.

A beautifully appointed and presented property, no expense spared, with quality furnishings and appliances. Bright, airy and spacious. Really had the “wow” factor upon entering.

A minor complaint, no apparatus to reach the blinds for the velux bedroom windows, so were woken early by sunlight.

Everything about this place is 10/10!! Arrived at night time and on entering the property I was blown away by how big the place is and how cosy and welcoming it felt! The place is absolutely immaculate in every aspect and there is everything available you could possibly need such as coffee, tea, hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel etc as well as washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs etc. The decor is so tasteful and both bedrooms feel so airy and luxurious!! Loved the dressing table area in particular in the larger room. Top marks on everything and would 100% return.

The apartment decor and vibe was great. A lot of properties will have the bare minimum of furniture and decor, but not this apartment. They make sure you feel comfortable and even have interesting literature avaiable to read about the surrounding area. The kitchen facilities are to a good standard and all equipment is available to cook most dishes.

A more obvious placed thermostat. The parking within the area is very busy.

Absolutely loved The Loft - definitely a step up from a lot of holiday accommodation that is available in the East Neuk, and we have stayed at a fair few! Beautifully styled, very comfortable and very clean. And dog friendly 👍 Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely make another booking without hesitation and highly recommend.

This is a really lovely spot, nicer than in the photos, and being very spacious, clean and comfortable. It’s perfectly located one street back from the waterfront in Ansthruther, and close walking distance to all amenities in town. We had a lovely meal at the very quaint Dreel Tavern one night (worth the short walk) and delicious fish and chips from around the corner at the Wee Chippy. The only let down was the check in process - check in wasn’t until 4pm which is a bit later than other AirBnbs we’d stayed at this trip. When we requested an earlier check-in we were told it wasn’t possible due to same day checkout. I replied that we would be in the area so if the property became available early could we be advised. We still hadn’t heard anything by 4:05pm so messaged to ask for check-in details, and got a reply about 10 minutes later with the key code and nothing else. Also had to message to find out Wi-Fi which wasn’t in the guest book in the room. No check out details provided either

Great location in the middle of everything. Lovely decor and finished to a high standard. Choice of wine glasses was great - bubbles from a standard glass do not taste the same! 😀

The only thing I would say is when we were there it was very warm and a fan would have been amazing. Blinds on the velux windows in the bedroom would also have been nice as it got dark so late/ light so early that the bedroom was a bit too bright for me.

Property was lovely. Tastefully decorated. Clean and well furnished. Bed was spacious and comfortable. Bit bright in the morning as couldn’t close velux blinds but we’re early risers anyway so not an issue. Central location. Watch out for additional cleaning cost fees for taking your dog. Not mentioned till after it’s booked and the cancellation fee is high. Thankfully we got it resolved before we stayed. But the property was faultless. Enjoyed our two night stay and would definitely use it again.

Everything about this stay was exceptional. 10/10 in every way from communication, location and comfort.

The apartment was very well appointed. However, there are two skylights in each bedroom. The blinds for the skylight in one bedroom are broken (and don't close) and there are no blinds for the skylight in the other bedroom. In summer in Scotland the daylight period is very long (4 am until nearly 11 pm), which makes sleeping (especially for young children) very difficult. I tried to communicate with Travelnest about this but I did not receive any answer. I also presented the problem to the property manager. She explained how guests are continually breaking things in the property. Eventually, 2 days later, and after a series of text messages, the property manager agreed to reimburse (not purchase for us) sleep masks. I asked for a partial refund but was refused. I was also informed that if the property was inadequate, then we could leave. This is the worst customer service I have experienced using Airbnb. The problem with the blinds has been going on for some time (see guestbook).

Clean, tidy, great location, beds and sofa was comfy, rooms spacious. Getting to the loft and getting in was easy.

Only fault for us was there are no blinds on the sky lights and both couples were woken up early due to the light in the room at around 6am. We were unsure if the blinds were built into the window but there was no pole to reach up anyway.

A pristine place to stay, free on-street parking, and every utility you would like including a washing machine and tumble dryer. Very comfortable and an excellent shower. One thing that let it down was that in the middle of Summer with no blinds on the ceiling velux window in the bedrooms it was difficult to sleep, waking at 4:30am :( so even though the comfort and cleanliness was very high standard, I didn't get much sleep to be able to enjoy and have energy for the activities we were doing during the day. An eye mask would have been good as a temporary addition until such a time you can sort this out - thank you

Gorgeous flat situated in the heart of Anstruther and close to the sea.Large open plan, well appointed Kitchen/living room with stunning light and views with beautiful Velux windows throughout. All rooms finished off to a very high standard with warm oak flooring throughout. Our host Alan was very responsive to communication and gave us plenty of recommendations for visiting/food/drink etc, also arranged for us to stay an extra night as we loved it so much! All in all, a warm, cosy and comfortable space and base to enjoy the beautiful Fife coast with lots of pretty fishing villages nearby and the bustling and picturesque university town of St Andrews a mere 15 mins away. Thank you Alan & Travelnest, a true hidden gem.

The photos don't do the apartment justice, it was much better than we anticipated. Done to a very high standard. The location was perfect walking distance to everything we needed. Will definitely be returning.

The Loft is a beautifully decorated apartment! Location was great, just a quick stroll to restaurants, harbor, shops. Loved the fish and chips (the Waterfront chippy is the best, imo,) and the boat trip to Isle of May.

Parking is at a premium, especially near the apartment. We got a spot, and then were afraid to lose it, so we just stayed put. Vans use the parking area, and seem to double park, especially over night. While the sky lights are great, some sort of shades would be nice in the bedrooms, it gets light at 4 a.m.! There was quite a bit of street noise/shouting one of the nights.

Excellent location, right next to harbour with cafes, shops and strolls. Beautifully fitted out, very spacious with excellent kitchen and good range of utensils. Bedrooms spacious, bright and comfortable. Bathroom spotless. Washing machine / drier very useful addition.

Parking can be a bit of a lottery (and sometimes quite tight!)but usually find a slot somewhere - or there are other places close by including a free car park up on the main road out of town by the tennis courts (5 min walk). Whilst place is very bright and airy due to loads of roof windows - in summer this means very light mornings! If you are light sleeper this might be an issue. Also street lamp outside main bedroom is very bright (some blackout curtains or shutters maybe?). There is only 1 bathroom / toilet so maybe a queue if there are 4 of you! Bathroom is really spacious though if you are close friends!

The Loft in Anstruther is a wonderful vacation flat. Beautifully furnished, very comfortable & close to everything. The owner/host was very accommodating and responsive. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed!

What a fabulous apartment. So clean, well equipped and in an excellent location. In the heart of Anstruther with shops, pubs and restaurants just on the doorstep. An excellennt base to access coastal walks Anstruther to St Monans and Anstruther to Crail. If you get the sunshine you have hit the jackpot!!

The Loft looks Fantastic from the images and it does not disappoint. In fact I would say it is better. Brilliant location just a cut through to the harbour. Fantastic walks right from the door.

Everything about the accommodation was excellent, it was very clean and tidy.

Being able to get the heating right was the most difficult thing about the loft, we had to open and close the windows to regulate the heating.

We had a lovely stay. Very close to everything. The house was beautiful and very clean.

The apartment was lovely and extremely clean. When I texted about a radiator that was not working, the owner replied straight away, wanting to sort out the issue swiftly. The position of the apartment is great, 2 minutes walk from the harbour and restaurants, easy parking. We really enjoyed our stay!

The property was in a perfect location, just off the Main Street near the harbour. The property was absolutely stunning, we were so blown away! Everything was beautifully decorated and absolutely immaculate. The bedrooms were both great sizes with big fluffy beds and huge TVs and both with a dressing table. The biggest room had a great full length mirror and light up mirror for the dressing table which was perfect as I had a wedding to get ready for! The living room and kitchen were so beautiful and cosy. I loved the lighting, the decor and big windows. A huge gorgeous bath in the bathroom which I wish I had had time to utilise!

One of the stools at the breakfast bar could do with grips being put on the bottom as it would slip when getting off sometimes, but that is a very small fix. Everything else was perfect!

Lovely, comfortable, modernized loft with lots of light. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. Washer and dryer a great bonus. Easy walk to restaurants, pubs, and the Co-op. A great space for four adults.

Stairs are a bit steep, so wouldn't recommend for those with mobility issues. Parking can be a bit tricky as there is no assigned parking; we got lucky and parked in front of the door.

Would prefer beds to be bigger. at least king size as rooms could take them easily. also we couldn’t find the cutlery drawer until day we were leaving so eating our takeway Indian was fun with no cutlery.

Perfect apartment, all amenities are top line and really well appointed. So good if you’re eating in, or some lovely places to eat out too. Location is great, just walk out the door and you’re onto the Coastal Path and this beautiful part of Fife.

Phenomenal property in a fabulous location. This delightful apartment was furnished to an incredibly high standard and was extremely comfortable. We didn't want to leave! Our favourite touches were: unbelievably comfortable beds, crisp white bedding, 3 pillows per person, fantastic shower, immaculate throughout, well stocked kitchen in terms of crockery, glassware, utensils, cutlery (in hidden drawer above the top drawer) pots and pans etc., great American fridge / freezer, coffee pod machine with Costa pods provided, ample seating which was a large comfy leather corner sofa and separate small armchair, the breakfast bar was awesome, dining table for 6, washing machine and tumble drier, clothes horse (air drier), 2 hairdryers, lots of space for all the family to spread out, very quiet but central location, large TV in living room and big TV in each bedroom. Absolute luxury and we CANNOT wait to go back.

Only minor point to note was that because there were skylight windows throughout the property, this meant the bedrooms were bright as soon as sun came up. While this did not bother us at all, and we would book again in a heartbeat, it could be a problem if you were staying with young children who were used to blackout blinds. Sensational property though so just take eye masks!

The Loft was truly a five star experience. A very stylish, modern and spacious apartment furnished to a high standard. It was very warm and comfortable and we really loved being there. A very relaxing experience indeed. Great location with all the best restaurants within walking distance and a super bakery just round the corner. Simply the best!

Nothing really although the lack of an allocated parking space could have been an issue if Anstruther had been busier. Although the location was perfect please be aware of local business deliveries etc in the mornings.

Gorgeous property - better even than the photos. Lots of unexpected bonuses (tea and coffee, free toiletries) - also great mirrors for make-up which is rare and decent hairdryer also rare. The location was perfect for me as I can't walk far and there was a wee cafe just a few steps away which did breakfasts and lovely coffee. Also several places to eat at night within walking distance (for me so very near).

The weather haha! At least we had a lovely apartment to go back to and dry out though!

Some milk and bread and wine in the kitchen would be a nice touch which other owners provide as a wee gift is really appreciated Some leaflets about local restaurants and walks show the owner has gone an extra mile.

What a perfect place to stay. This is a beautifully appointed property, which has the very best of everything. Kitchen has everything that you could possibly need. lounge has a very comfortable sofa and a large screen TV. Each of the bedrooms is tastefully decorated and has a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was well appointed with a good powerful shower and a large bath. Adequate onsite parking and only one minute to the seafront at Anstruther. I have stayed in many properties over the years, but this one was immaculate and I could not fault in any way. I highly recommend The Loft for your stay in Anstruther.

As I said above, I simply could not fault this property. Everything was absolutely perfect.
