Spotless and peaceful location

This had everything you would need as well as a wonderful welcome with fantastic views. The location is peaceful surrounded by great countryside. The accommodation had everything you could need as well as enough space. It was a great price and we were very happy with the experience. We will be booking there again!

The accommodation was lovely there was nothing that you wanted for.fresh eggs and a cream tea plus a bottle of wine waiting was a great touch. The bed was comfortable and warm enough.We loved that you could sit on the sofa and watch the chickens scratching around so close.A very friendly welcome by Shirley that we both appreciated.we had a wonderful stay at the surf shack.thank you.

Lovely location

We only spent 2 nights here, and we’re likely to return for a longer stay sometime in the future. The Surf Shack was well equipped and spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. It’s a very peaceful and scenic part of the island.

Lovely location on a small farm with pygmy goats, chickens and sheep. Friendly hosts who left us a few lovely provisions. Cottage was light and airy with all the facilities you would need. Clear arrival instructions. Parking at the rear.

I can't think of anything not to like!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and wish I could have stayed longer.

The mattress was very firm but not so bad so I slept better on the 2nd night after getting used to it.

Beautiful cottage set in a lovely location. Just what we needed for a city escape! Thank you Shirley for being so welcoming. Communications were excellent and recommended some great places to visit.

Cosy and warm in freezing weather. Quiet location and good soundproofing so not disturbed by adjacent holiday cottage occupants. Chickens added entertainment.

We could have done with a mixing bowl for baking and rubber gloves for washing up to make it perfect.

Modern, clean, comfortable and warm. Nice wood burner with firewood supplied. Had everything needed for a short self catering stay, including some basic kitchen supplies, tea, coffee, cooking oil. The location was quiet and private with lovely views. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Even provided some scones with jam and cream, fresh farm eggs and a bottle of wine on arrival.

Brilliant accommodation and hosts! The location is so peaceful. We loved being greeted in the mornings by the friendly chickens. It had everything we needed and some. Perfectly clean. Really great stay and hope to be back soon!

A pub within walking distance would have been nice. But wouldn't stop us returning.

Perfect place, lovely peaceful location with stunning views and everything you could need inside the lovely little home. Location is perfect with easy access to lovely walks and the coast. Very dog friendly - ours loved to sit and watch the chickens outside our door. We can’t wait to rebook.

The location was phenomenal, the hosts were lovely and we even had welcome gifts bought for us which was a really homely touch.

Honestly I don’t think anything could have been better, I wish that we could have stayed for longer in all honesty. Will definitely be visiting again!

Nice quiet location on a farm, and handily placed for getting to Wolverton Manor Garden Show. Very helpful hosts (the scones, jam and cream, the eggs, and the bottle of wine were very much appreciated). Nice to see a self-catering unit also providing spray-oil for the frying pan.

A second nightlight unit covering the last few steps at the bottom of the stairs might be a good idea. Possibly a small chest of drawers in the bedroom? The shaving light in the bathroom doesn't work (solution is in hand).

Had a great time, hosts were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. Place was awesome.

Expect a very enjoyable stay. The accommodation is superb. Location tranquil and ideal for exploring the Island. The hosts hospitality is generous and they are very friendly and responsive. We will return without a doubt.

Great spot - really roomy with great views and perfect location for both walking a d exploring the island. The host couldn’t have been sweeter, she was very communicative and even brought treats for my little dog! Even my local friends were very impressed. Would recommend and would stay again.

A lovely retreat, very peaceful

We had a brilliant stay here. It is in a beautiful, quiet part of the island. Our host provided a very warm welcome and communication was clear throughout. The house was just as described and was well equipped for our stay. The wood stove is very cosy in the evenings. The house was also sparkling clean and completely Covid-19 compliant. Having a car would be fairly essential for your stay, it is an easy 20 minute drive to all the wonderful attractions Isle of Wight has to offer. We would love to go back and we would most definitely stay here again. Thank you to our hosts for making everything so special!
