The hens and pygmy goats were very friendly. The property was as described and very clean.

Just had a lovely two night stay in Poachers cottage. The cottage was very clean and had all we needed for our stay. Loved the chickens and goats on our doorstep, gorgeous views and the delicious scones on arrival. Thank you v much Shirley and Terry!

Wonderful place to stay. Great and peaceful location. Host was great and added a few extra touches which made our stay more pleasant. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy the views. Would highly recommend it!

Couldn't have been better. Great accommodation and location. Shirley was a very welcoming and helpful host, who was very kind to our old dog. Would strongly recommend.

The view from the property was outstanding!

Proximity of other guests was too close. Very little privacy. Large hidden costs to have dogs at the property were not advertised properly before stay.

Lack of worktops. Many repeated messages from agent in India some of which were proved to be incorrect. I.E. the owner thought we had cancelled the booking - we had not!!

The property is fun and has everything you need in a beautiful location with a fantastic host. Lots of nice touches. A fantastic place for a short break.

We loved the cozy and extremely clean feel of the cottage. All cooking facilities were available and really good insulation so it felt very warm. The chickens outside the front door and noises from the sheep aud horses in the field beside you gave a true country / farm experience. The hosts were lovely and very helpful if needed. Perfect stay and a short distance from lovely beaches (Ventnor) and gorgeous scenery of the Isle of Wight.

The location is great as your in the countryside but 20 minutes and your in town, setting was stunning, lovely walks where you don’t meet anybody, excellent for dog walking,accommodation was lovely and snug and everything was provided when we got there. lovely and quiet stay just to unwind and relax, peaceful watching the chickens shuffling around while sitting outside our accommodation. Beds were comfy, bathroom was amazing and the house warmed up really quickly if we needed it, looking forward to a return visit.

The holiday cottage was very well equipped and had lovely little extras, such as eggs, scones with jam and cream, and wine. The bed was extremely comfortable and the whole place was lovely and warm. The views are spectacular from around the cottage and the hens at the front are a great little bonus! Shirley (host) was extremely welcoming and was available to offer help if needed.

Basic + facilities so altho there was everything we needed the stay was kept simple. Very relaxing, especially with the girls (hens) within a few feet of our door. Good for dogs and walkers. Lovely views.

Only thing was sofa wasn’t overly comfortable but we’re not youngsters and need more comfortable seating

Wonderful peaceful location and spotless accomodation. Shirley is very welcoming and some nice touches with fresh eggs from the chickens just outside, cream tea and bottle of wine. Perfect base for our cycling trip.

Everything else! Amazing cottages, with stunning views, comfortable and Shirley was lovely! Very friendly and helpful. We bought our doggo with us and he was welcomed everywhere we went. There was more than enough room for the dog and us. Everything was perfect! The eggs and bottle of red wine was a lovely surprise. Will definitely recommend and would love to return!

The only thing that I wasn't too keen on, was that I had to drive everywhere.

A gorgeous cosy place, perfect for dog owners or couples looking for a quiet stay. host was great and the small touches on arrival mad ethe stay even more memorable. Will definitely be back

This is a fabulous place to stay in beautiful surroundings. Most guests seem to comment in the visitors book on the chickens which are ranging free, in a paddock, in front of the cottages - they have real character. Fresh eggs are available to buy from Shirley. The accommodation is pretty perfect, very nicely appointed, clean, fresh and has everything you need for a trip away. Lovely to sit outside on the sun baked terrace and enjoy the views.

Enjoyed thoroughly a few days away staying in a lovely rural location. Host was very friendly and went above and beyond for my wives birthday. Will return no doubt.

Great location, beautiful scenery, fabulous hosts, very clean, perfect for a few nights away!

The host was excellent very welcoming. The location was quiet and close to walks and easy to get around. It was great to be able to feed the chickens.

The only reason it was not exceptional was lack of laundry facilities but I am sure that would have been sorted if I had asked which I didn't.
