The Hobbit Hut was wonderful. It had character and although small this seemed to fit in with the ambiance. The Hot Tub was amazing! Despite the chilly weather once we were in the tub it warmed us so deeply that we could leave and sit around in just our swimming costumes. We had worn coats prior to our first dip into the tub. It was ready at 6.45pm and we did not leave it until past 9.30pm. You MUST use the hot tub.

Everything was great. We stayed mainly on the southern side of the Isle of Sheppey which is a nature reserve. We saw so much wild life including Harrier Hawks, Grouse, Hares, Swans and Barn Owls and heard an amazing amount of birdsong.

Very peaceful and secluded area, clean, tidy, and very snug. Nice hot tub to relax and look at the stars 😊

The bed is not the best but it’s ok.

Fantastic overnight stay in this lovely little spot. Very cozy, clean, and accommodating, I couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re looking to really get away from it all (there’s really good WiFi though, don’t worry!). I’d recommend bringing plenty to read as you’re a little isolated, though.

Vor allem als Ausländer mit Hund war die Buchung etwas umständlich: Dank dem freundlichen Entgegenkommen der Mitarbeiterin Sarah konnten wir aber eine Lösung finden. Danke!

We have just had the most perfect two days at the honey pod. It was relaxing and quiet and just what we needed to recharge our batteries. It was clean, well thought out and had everything we needed The host was friendly and very helpful.

my partner and I had the best hobbit getaway here. the Hobbit Hut was cosy and welcoming and it was lovely to get away and our lil pup loved it too. The decor and scenery was beautiful and the stay had all we needed. Close to the seaside and good location for exploring Kent. hope to visit again soon!

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the honey pod, it is gorgeous and peaceful. Hosts are very helpful and communicate clearly with getting to and accessing property. We definitely will be back, we had a lovely time.

The hobbit hut was such a lovely getaway. The surroundings are peaceful so great if you want a quiet weekend together away from the world! The hot tub is an excellent addition and the room itself is very clean and cosy. The kitchen has everything you need - even salt and pepper so you don’t have to bring (I’d keep the door open for a bit when cooking so the fire alarm doesn’t go off). All in all a lovely weekend and I’m sure we’ll be back!

Very happy for having stayed at the Honey pod. The host, Heidi is super kind and lovely and took care of us more than we deserved. Very lovely place and location of you enjoy the quietness. 7 minutes drive from the beach and lovely people around. The place was very clean . We enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna service. Heidi prepared an outstanding evening for me and my partner. I wouldn’t change anything to this, but I do recommend a coffee machine (perhaps with compostable pods) and a toaster ! 😃 but hey, that’s not a complain. We could live without it. There’s coffee bags left for you to pay only a pound for (can’t have those, we’re Italian! ) and can use the over as a toaster. Would definitely recommend and go back for another spicy escape. Booked a nights stay for my husband birthday and it was perfect, pod was fantastic and clean everything you need. The hot tub although it takes 2/3 hrs to heat was great and that was part of the fun. If your after a quiet peaceful stay this is it!

It was a bit difficult to find but the video was helpful. But no salt and pepper or oil which I wasn’t aware of.

The hut was perfectly sized and had all the facilities you would need and expect. I stayed for a quiet few days to myself and that is exactly what I got! The hut is secluded and private without feeling completely alone. So many beautiful walks a stones throw away from the property by the beach and nature reserve.

If I was to be picky, the fridge was quite loud during the night, ever hour or so it would make a noise as it was cooling itself down. I am a light sleeper and everything else was so quiet it became a noise I focused on throughout my nights.

Beautiful romantic getaway, very clean and cosy. Very easy to communicate with the host and easy to get to/find. Perfect winter getaway for us. :)

We loved the wood fired hot tub. The bed was really comfy and it was great having Netflix. The shower pressure was good and it was lovely and warm in the cabin even in December! It was really clean and cosy and we had a lovely stay. The check in video was really useful.

The drive in is full of pot holes and quite difficult to drive down. Would have been nice to have some basics (e.g. bread/milk).

Overall Groundhouse was a nice place to stay. The setting was beautiful and held a very relaxing atmosphere. The cabin was nicely set up and great for us to bring our 3 dogs with us. Our host was very accommodating and left out extra blankets and bowls for the dogs. We would stay again.

The hobbit hut was very secluded and private. The accommodation was spacious, warm (with easy heating controls) underfloor heating was perfect, it was comfortable with good facilities including the hot tub and fire pit in the private garden area.

The log fired hot tub needed to be managed very carefully, with limited control of the fire the water temperature became too hot with no quick way of cooling. Our second day was more successful but you do need to be very careful before getting in that the water is not too hot.

Loved everything! Such a lovely set up, very cosy and comfortable. Booked for my birthday and wasn't disappointed.

Lovely place to stay if you’re not planning on doing anything as there isn’t much around. The hot tub is definitely the main attraction here. We were lucky enough to see a load of fireworks going off whilst we were in it. It was very romantic 🥰.As a hobbit hut the fridge is only a counter top size so if staying here in the warmer weather, you would definitely need to bring a cool box with you to keep bottles of wine etc cool. Heidi was a very lovely, friendly & helpful host. We had a great stay here.

Lovely stay with a great hot tub for us to use, the room was cozy, warm and clean. The host was superb and friendly and quick with responses and recommended a few spots for us that was pedestrian friendly. Would definitely recommend! :)

Love the location was very private however very close to get to shops and beach. The pod had absolutely everything we needed and was spotless.

We had a lovely time here, it felt really private and so peaceful. The hobbit house is a great little hidden gem, the private hot tub and seating outside are a real highlight. It does take a while to heat up, but if you get the fire going straight away, it’ll be ready to enjoy for the evening. The host was lovely too, even let us use their private outdoor swimming pool. We will definitely be back! X

The place is absolutely beautiful and every last detail has been thought about.

Booked for 3 nights for some relaxing time away and we got exactly that, so much so that we booked an extra night, hosts were friendly, helpful and informative. Lovely hideaway with log burning hot tub, only took around 90 minutes in hot weather to heat, private swimming pool available which was great for the hubby’s sciatica, well thought out space and private garden, great experience, would definitely book again.

Great little place to stay - just as described in listing. Host was helpful and responsive. Only negatives were the bed was a little uncomfy, the cabling around the TV was messy, and the garden wasn't completely enclosed (only relevant if you have an escape artist for a dog). The hot tub did take a lot longer to heat up than was suggested, and it only got like warm. Otherwise a great place to stay for a long weekend.

Very good stay and it was extremely easy to reach our host when needed. Fenced garden which was ideal for our dog.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a couple days for our birthdays, the place looked exactly like the picture it extremely cosy and the hobbit hut was picturesque. The hot tub was lovely but took longer to heat than expected and didn’t realise how much wood we needed, but once we got in there was so relaxing, a lovely way to spend an evening. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Heidi was an amazing and attentive host. She made sure that we were well looked after and provided us with a continental breakfast and offered us use of her upcoming sauna facilities free of charge due to a power cut in the area. The pod was lovely and clean & came decorated with rose petals & a love heart balloon which was perfect for our valentines stay! The hot tub was perfect & we had plenty of wood to keep it warm all day!

The introduction video got rid of the anxiety of trying to find the place and knowing what to do, first time I've experienced something like that so was awesome touch! Loved our stay

Had a great but short stay in the middle of January 23. Beautiful place, well equipped pods and the most wonderful setting. Super easy to find, pod was really clean, had everything you needed. A comfortable bed and plenty of pillows, which made for a good nights sleep. Shame it wasn’t available for the extra night as we’d have loved to stop longer. Will definitely be back. Unfortunately we arrived too late to use the great extras you get with these pods. The owners were lovely and extremely helpful. Really couldn’t have asked for any better. Would definitely recommend and will stay again when next in the area. Our cute dog slept & she’s quite particular. So she couldn’t have given the place better compliment & was quite appreciative for the strokes. Definitely a winner with our fussy pooch. Thanks Danny and Heidi

Awesome place and host! Recommend with all my heart

The Hobbit Hole had everything i needed and lots of personal, high quality touches. My hosts were very caring and attentive during my whole stay. The hot tub is a real treat and the whole set up is very private. It was a very wet and windy weekend but the commoditising was very comfortable and cozy.

Heidi was so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The place was beautiful, and the self heated hot tub was amazing. Me and my now fiancé went here for a relaxing 2 days just before Christmas. We got engaged here too, which was just an amazing experience. Followed by a night in the hot tub and lots of Xmas films. Couldn’t fault it and would love to come back xxxxxx

The accommodation was clean, well presented and all mod-cons installed, no need to bring extras - all you needed was food - spare clothes and some games - the location was peacefully quiet except for nature. The log burning hot tub - 1st time experience for us both enjoyed multiple times over the course of the stay.

The floor was slightly uneven and caught me and my wife of balance.

We had a fantastic stay in the Honey pod, this Hobbit style house is cosy, quirky and the wood fired hot tub tops off the whole experience (even on a cold rainy evening in November!)! Heidi was a great host and we’re looking forward to visiting again and trying the honey!

We arrived late and it was dark but walking in through the gate was like a little magical place with its pretty lights . The little hobbit house was warm and inviting and well equipped . Despite rain we were able to use the hot tub which was easy to use and got very very warm. The accommodation is excellent and a high standard. It had all we needed and great tv choice for watching a good film . We were looking for a feeling of switching off and being away from everything and this delivered . The immediate surroundings are possibly a work in progress and do not reflect on how lovely it is once in your own little space which is incredibly private . We cannot wait for an opportunity to return and highly recommend “.

so peaceful and private. Also host was amazing and anything you needed was fealty with promptly. The hot tub was amazing as were all the facilities. Make sure you try the honey that the host sells, it’s harvested from her own hives.

the bed was a little uncomfortable for me but that is my personal opinion someone else may find it better for them. the thing the kitchen area is missing is a microwave.

My pod was clean and had everything I needed. it was perfect for a little get away. The owner was helpful and friendly. It was great to have own private hot tub and garden area.

The hot tub took ages to heat up (3 hours) I only bothered once as it wasn’t worth the effort of tending a fire for that long. There is nothing really around which is also a plus. The bed was harder than I’m used to but I slept fine. check out is a bit early.

A nice comfortable bed and very peaceful. I would have preferred a hot tub to have been a normal electric one but still a nice touch. it was nice but I don't think it was value for money.

The Hobbit house was small but beautifully constructed in honey coloured brick and morter with a lovely entrance and compact kitchen and shower room. The wood fired hot tub was fab and very hot after a few hours of feeding the wood fired heater.

No instructions provided initially on how to find the accommodation. I did get instrucrions after I queried on how to find them. A lot more concideration should be given to how visitors find the accomodations, to say it's obscure is an understatement! There should be a sign on the dirt track leading downto the site should be on promenant display, otherwise it feels like your heading for the cow fields.Thel large gate should be automatic, not needing uto get outgothrough a gate toopenthemftom.tbei inside.Only then later to be told off about not closing them!!! Then the name plates are so small as to be virtually for the visitor to find where they are staying!! How to operate the wood fired hot tube is required, I'm sure I'm not.the only townie who has never done this in their entireife,build a wood fire to heat water for a hot tube.Be warned it takes about 2:30 hours toget hot!!! Plus frankly the accommodation is small for two people and their stuff!! All.in all OK but the owner needs to.give more thought to.helpingout the first time visitor.

Honestly a better getaway than I expected it to be - so peacefully quiet, Heidi was always happy to help if needed. The hut itself was cosy and so stunning. Excellent place to go if you just want to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature

I had a wonderful stay in the Honey Hobbit home. I felt at home straightaway. The accommodation is so well-appointed and cleverly thought out. The bed was fantastic, the shower was excellent and the wood-fired hot tub was an amazing bonus! I loved spending time in the private garden - it was very peaceful and relaxing. The house is so well thought out, with beautiful modern fittings, it has everything you need including a lovely got shower, and even Netflix! The hot tub was so easy to use and the private garden made this feel so idyllic and relaxing. The heated pool was also such a nice option to have.

Actually the site had everything we needed! Maybe a slightly larger fridge would have been useful, as we were staying for 3 nights and self catering. But really everything else was just perfect.

The hot tub, and location are fantastic! Room amenities were also great. Host was very pleasant to deal with, and made themselves available throughout our stay. We also met a resident farm cat, who was very friendly. The hot tub, though not heated, was very refreshing during the heat of the day!

We travelled during a heatwave, and the lack of air conditioning, or a fan, was noticeable! We had the door open to let some air in, but this did let a few bugs in. A mesh curtain for this may be an option if no cooling is available. However, an unheated hot tub is also a good alternative.

The honey pot hobbit hut was exceptional. Really well thought out, with restful decor. All facilities were good. The hot tub was amazing and garden was private and perfected the scene beautifully. Heidi was the perfect host, kind and friendly. The ethos of Groundhouse is just inspiring and the story behind it. Really looking forward to returning.

Booked this as a suprise for my partners 30th birthday! he could not have been happier. Lovely pod, clean with everything you need. Heide the host made us feel very welcome and was helpful with anything if we needed to ask. The hot tub was easy to use and was so lovely sharing a bottle of bubbly whilst stargazing. Would definitely recommend!!
