Incredible stay! Cannot recommend it enough. Beautifully quiet and secluded. The hot tub is a huge plus and the sauna is even a bigger plus! The hosts were fantastic! Very responsive, helpful and kind. The cabin/hut had everything you'd need, was extremely clean and to be honest, was just perfect. 10/10. Would absolutely stay again!

Amazing stay at this beautiful little hut! Looked exactly like the pictures So clean and tidy inside Super cosy and bed was very comfortable We didn’t arrive until 9pm so I asked the host if the hot tub could be hot for when we got there which she did. Super friendly and responsive. Unfortunately we only stayed one day but we will be back in the future for a longer break here! Garden space was nice and private. Area was peaceful Everything we needed was in the property. There was even local honey you could purchase

The host was lovely, and very accommodating. Communication was great. The accommodation was amazing, nicely laid out, and full amenities provided. We loved the wood fired hot tub, and we took advantage of the sauna package, for an additional charge.
Very unique and cute. Dog friendly and all enclosed so he couldn’t get out. Property was very clean and was all explained well in the video provided. The campfire was a great addition.
No hair dryer and only two teabags provided :)

Apon arrival to the beautiful surroundings of the honey pod we was greeted by Sarah. she went above and beyond. Sarah was on hand if we needed absolutely anything. The honey pod was amazing, it had everything we needed. I stayed here for my birthday along with my teenager son. Heidi our host kindly allowed Jack to use her pool. so thank you Heidi. Thank you for the cans of coke to. I had run out having a few brandys celebrating my birthday. heidi had given me some of hers. how kind. we truly had the best time :-) making memories. we decided to book Heidi's other hobbit stay the hive. while we was enjoying our time there yesterday. we will be returning for a few nights in 3 weeks. so see you very soon. x

Friendly and helpful host, very responsive to any messages or questions I had. The sauna and private area was lovely and finished off nicely in the hot tub. Lovely, private and quiet place to enjoy a night away.

Lovely rural location. Hot tub was the main attraction. I'd say it's no frills but value for money. We liked the allotments and peaceful secluded environment. Everything was as stated in the description. The hobbit huts were cute, equipped with a kitchen, sofa, bed and tiny bathroom. The jacuzzi was great! Though it does take a long time to heat up and remember to bring fire lighters! They gave us a lot of information prior to the visit via emails and booking . com messages. So we were very informed.
I'd say the Isle of Sheppy in general is an interesting place and maybe quite love it or hate it. We found it really interesting and learning about its past, its prison and position in the UK Fascinating. There was some damp in the hobbit hut hence the dehumidifier turned on by the door. It is quite cramped for a tall man like myself but I did overall enjoy the experience. The hosts were quite short and maybe not the friendliest of people but I can tell this is very much run as a business. They were shocked they had to tell us how to check in as they want everyone to watch their introductory 10 minute video. Which is reasonable but I would warn them in future that guests do have busy lives and when they are sent multiple, lengthy emails with a video link. Well things can get lost and some people just don't have the time. It felt quite affronting when first entering. Which set a unsavoury tone for our stay. There is also a cash deposit that has to be made which is quite fiddly for a one night stay. Maybe this could be baked into the booking.com system somehow as it felt unusual to transfer money to a bank account.

I stayed at this property for one night, paying £106 plus a £100 deposit. Although the stay was initially pleasant, the checkout process was highly unsatisfactory. Upon checking out at 9:45 AM, I received a message at 1:30 PM claiming that a tampon was found in the toilet macerator, causing damage. My wife only uses sanitary pads, which were properly disposed of in the bin. Despite this, they withheld £50 from our deposit. The explanation about an early check-in by the next guest seemed contrived, especially since their standard check-in time is 3 PM. Furthermore, the deposit was demanded via bank transfer, which should have been a red flag. Their accusation felt like a scam, as the toilet was working perfectly when we left. I believe future guests should be wary of this property.. Despite requesting proof of the alleged damage, the response from the hosts was dismissive and accusatory. In summary, I feel unfairly charged for something we did not do. This experience has tarnished what could have been a pleasant stay

The Hobbit Hut was wonderful. It had character and although small this seemed to fit in with the ambiance. The Hot Tub was amazing! Despite the chilly weather once we were in the tub it warmed us so deeply that we could leave and sit around in just our swimming costumes. We had worn coats prior to our first dip into the tub. It was ready at 6.45pm and we did not leave it until past 9.30pm. You MUST use the hot tub.
Everything was great. We stayed mainly on the southern side of the Isle of Sheppey which is a nature reserve. We saw so much wild life including Harrier Hawks, Grouse, Hares, Swans and Barn Owls and heard an amazing amount of birdsong.
Very peaceful and secluded area, clean, tidy, and very snug. Nice hot tub to relax and look at the stars 😊
The bed is not the best but it’s ok.
Fantastic overnight stay in this lovely little spot. Very cozy, clean, and accommodating, I couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re looking to really get away from it all (there’s really good WiFi though, don’t worry!). I’d recommend bringing plenty to read as you’re a little isolated, though.

Dass man direkt nach der Buchung mit mehreren Nachrichten zu Anleitungen und benötigten Dokumenten überhäuft wird, war etwas abschreckend. Vor allem als Ausländer mit Hund war die Buchung etwas umständlich: Dank dem freundlichen Entgegenkommen der Mitarbeiterin Sarah konnten wir aber eine Lösung finden. Danke!
We have just had the most perfect two days at the honey pod. It was relaxing and quiet and just what we needed to recharge our batteries. It was clean, well thought out and had everything we needed The host was friendly and very helpful.
my partner and I had the best hobbit getaway here. the Hobbit Hut was cosy and welcoming and it was lovely to get away and our lil pup loved it too. The decor and scenery was beautiful and the stay had all we needed. Close to the seaside and good location for exploring Kent. hope to visit again soon!

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the honey pod, it is gorgeous and peaceful. Hosts are very helpful and communicate clearly with getting to and accessing property. We definitely will be back, we had a lovely time.

The hobbit hut was such a lovely getaway. The surroundings are peaceful so great if you want a quiet weekend together away from the world! The hot tub is an excellent addition and the room itself is very clean and cosy. The kitchen has everything you need - even salt and pepper so you don’t have to bring (I’d keep the door open for a bit when cooking so the fire alarm doesn’t go off). All in all a lovely weekend and I’m sure we’ll be back!
Very happy for having stayed at the Honey pod. The host, Heidi is super kind and lovely and took care of us more than we deserved. Very lovely place and location of you enjoy the quietness. 7 minutes drive from the beach and lovely people around. The place was very clean . We enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna service. Heidi prepared an outstanding evening for me and my partner. I wouldn’t change anything to this, but I do recommend a coffee machine (perhaps with compostable pods) and a toaster ! 😃 but hey, that’s not a complain. We could live without it. There’s coffee bags left for you to pay only a pound for (can’t have those, we’re Italian! ) and can use the over as a toaster. Would definitely recommend and go back for another spicy escape. Thanks
Booked a nights stay for my husband birthday and it was perfect, pod was fantastic and clean everything you need. The hot tub although it takes 2/3 hrs to heat was great and that was part of the fun. If your after a quiet peaceful stay this is it!

It was a bit difficult to find but the video was helpful. But no salt and pepper or oil which I wasn’t aware of.
The hut was perfectly sized and had all the facilities you would need and expect. I stayed for a quiet few days to myself and that is exactly what I got! The hut is secluded and private without feeling completely alone. So many beautiful walks a stones throw away from the property by the beach and nature reserve.
If I was to be picky, the fridge was quite loud during the night, ever hour or so it would make a noise as it was cooling itself down. I am a light sleeper and everything else was so quiet it became a noise I focused on throughout my nights.
Beautiful romantic getaway, very clean and cosy. Very easy to communicate with the host and easy to get to/find. Perfect winter getaway for us. :)
We loved the wood fired hot tub. The bed was really comfy and it was great having Netflix. The shower pressure was good and it was lovely and warm in the cabin even in December! It was really clean and cosy and we had a lovely stay. The check in video was really useful.
The drive in is full of pot holes and quite difficult to drive down. Would have been nice to have some basics (e.g. bread/milk).
Overall Groundhouse was a nice place to stay. The setting was beautiful and held a very relaxing atmosphere. The cabin was nicely set up and great for us to bring our 3 dogs with us. Our host was very accommodating and left out extra blankets and bowls for the dogs. We would stay again.
The hobbit hut was very secluded and private. The accommodation was spacious, warm (with easy heating controls) underfloor heating was perfect, it was comfortable with good facilities including the hot tub and fire pit in the private garden area.
The log fired hot tub needed to be managed very carefully, with limited control of the fire the water temperature became too hot with no quick way of cooling. Our second day was more successful but you do need to be very careful before getting in that the water is not too hot.
Loved everything! Such a lovely set up, very cosy and comfortable. Booked for my birthday and wasn't disappointed.

Lovely place to stay if you’re not planning on doing anything as there isn’t much around. The hot tub is definitely the main attraction here. We were lucky enough to see a load of fireworks going off whilst we were in it. It was very romantic 🥰.As a hobbit hut the fridge is only a counter top size so if staying here in the warmer weather, you would definitely need to bring a cool box with you to keep bottles of wine etc cool. Heidi was a very lovely, friendly & helpful host. We had a great stay here.

Lovely stay with a great hot tub for us to use, the room was cozy, warm and clean. The host was superb and friendly and quick with responses and recommended a few spots for us that was pedestrian friendly. Would definitely recommend! :)
Love the location was very private however very close to get to shops and beach. The pod had absolutely everything we needed and was spotless.

We had a lovely time here, it felt really private and so peaceful. The hobbit house is a great little hidden gem, the private hot tub and seating outside are a real highlight. It does take a while to heat up, but if you get the fire going straight away, it’ll be ready to enjoy for the evening. The host was lovely too, even let us use their private outdoor swimming pool. We will definitely be back! X

The place is absolutely beautiful and every last detail has been thought about.
Booked for 3 nights for some relaxing time away and we got exactly that, so much so that we booked an extra night, hosts were friendly, helpful and informative. Lovely hideaway with log burning hot tub, only took around 90 minutes in hot weather to heat, private swimming pool available which was great for the hubby’s sciatica, well thought out space and private garden, great experience, would definitely book again.

Great little place to stay - just as described in listing. Host was helpful and responsive. Only negatives were the bed was a little uncomfy, the cabling around the TV was messy, and the garden wasn't completely enclosed (only relevant if you have an escape artist for a dog). The hot tub did take a lot longer to heat up than was suggested, and it only got like warm. Otherwise a great place to stay for a long weekend.
Very good stay and it was extremely easy to reach our host when needed. Fenced garden which was ideal for our dog.
Me and my boyfriend stayed for a couple days for our birthdays, the place looked exactly like the picture it extremely cosy and the hobbit hut was picturesque. The hot tub was lovely but took longer to heat than expected and didn’t realise how much wood we needed, but once we got in there was so relaxing, a lovely way to spend an evening. Host was very friendly and helpful.
