We loved everything about this wee cottage, could not fault it in any way and Siobhan was really accommodating. The place was spotless and just so cosy. Will definitely be booking again.
Fantastic place. Very atmospheric and cozy. We spent a wonderful weekend. The hostess is an extremely nice and helpful person. We highly recommend it.
Nothing . Was just perfect .
A travel back in time and a breath of fresh air from city life that will truly revive you. As we opened the red farm gate to drive down the private track, we were not disappointed by what awaited us…. A hidden, magical place in a peaceful location, a spacious garden with beautiful views through the trees and the sound of the Atlantic waves in the distance. Inside the well equipped cottage, the heat from the wood burning stove was welcoming and along with the decoration made us feel right at home…. along with Siobhán’s delicious homemade bread. Siobhán was very welcoming and a great host with plenty of knowledge of the area too. For being in such a private spot Cherry Tree Cottage is in a great location and close to beaches, villages and wild Atlantic attractions Pollan Bay and Tullagh Bay are beautiful and with Ballyliffin, Clonmany and Buncrana a short drive away, there’s plenty of sites to see. Nancy’s Barn in Ballyliffin is a highly recommended spot to stop for food and drink. One highlight of our stay was being surrounded by the amazing Northern Lights and not a street light to ruin any of their glory.
No complaints.
Beautiful little cottage. Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful beach, Tullagh strand, nearby.
Nothing.
Very friendly and helpful host; very scenic as well as wonderfully quiet/remote location; uniqueness of the overall experience.

Location & cottage were absolutely amazing. Garden beautiful Total Privacy Attention to detail fab Pet friendly Host lovely, with home made bread as a gift
We loved everything. It very hard to fault Cherry tree cottage. Maybe better Tv reception and possibly WiFi? But that’s not important on a trip like this. We would definitely go back.
Tout: l’accueil, le cadre, la décoration, l’équipement … c’est vraiment un endroit exceptionnel pour séjourner quelques jours.
Lovely relaxing location, back in time setting with a lovely garden. You have all you need to unwind, easy to reach beautiful beaches and nice walks. A must try! The owner had been really helpful and friendly.
Lovely little cottage. Very beautiful and cosy. The surrounding coast is amazing. Plenty of big walks and endless beaches all around. Lovely welcome too. Thank you!
Nothing. It is tiny and quite dark inside, but that’s also part of the charm. Perfect for cosy winter break.
Its a little gem in the most idyllic location. The house is a cosy haven and such authenticity, every detail feels lovingly considered. An absolute joy!! And so accommodating for my dog!
We arrived in a storm, a tree was down on the road, and then the electric in the whole area cut out. We had a roaring stove fire and cooked pizza, drank wine and listened to the storm at the half door. Felt so lucky to be there!
Lovely cottage Lovely location and a very helpful host
Beautiful cottage, amazing views, good location, with very good hosts.
Perfect location for a very quiet & relaxing getaway. Cherry tree cottage is like stepping back in time, a traditional stone building carefully adapted to suit 1 or 2 visitors. Bonus points for being able to take our dogs, who loved lying in front of the stove /fire after a busy day exploring the beautiful beaches nearby. Our host was fantastic.
I don't have anything that I didn't like about our stay or the cottage
A little gem, the perfect getaway location for a long weekend! Sweet little cottage with everything you need, in a beautiful garden. Siobhan is a very attentive host!
Cosy, very scenic setting and attentive host. Perfect for a relaxing week away in a rural part of the world.
Shower pressure very weak
Beautiful and charming cottage in the Isle of Doagh. Everything was well thought. We really enjoyed our tranquil stay there with our labrador. Siobhan, our host was very nice, she received us with a homemade bread and jam that we slowly tasted outside enjoying the views. Very well located, the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries and at the same time have the sense of what was living in that quirky cottage. Truly recommend!
Siobhan was a great host who went out of her way to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. The cottage is very comfortable and perfect if you are looking to just switch off and forget the world. There are great walks nearby and the island of Doagh is beautiful with a great beach. I would definitely stay here again.
A delightful cottage in a lovely location with views over the estuary. A most welcoming host sharing valuable information upon local sights and walks. Very cosy and all in all a memorable stay.
All good
The cute cottage, the lovely spacious garden, the views, and the incredible peaceful location. Plus the host was friendly and helpful, without being intrusive... perfect.
Everything - there was homemade seed loaf, jam, butter, milk, etc in the fridge when we arrived. Flowers in the rooms. Siobhan was such a delightul host and we will be going back there again - as soon as we can.
The only thing I could see improvement on was the shower - water pressure a bit low - but such a minor detail.
