Great communication from host - overall, a well equipped , comfortable home

Location fabulous - a great base for exploring the Highlands Hot tub , games room and fire pit were great. Plenty of room for us all Excitement on waking up on the first morning to find curious Highland cattle in the garden , and their owner coming down to move them back to their field !

Nothing to feedback here

Perfect for large parties with kids.

The property and facilities were excellent, spacious throughout and lots to do for everyone. We had the perfect family weekend away playing games, toasting marshmallows and relaxing in the hot tub. Lots of memories made.

Lovely stay!

Loved the jacuzzi & the games room, and there were plenty of logs for the fire. The bedrooms were all immaculate. We didn't meet Anne, but she was great at keeping in touch if we needed anything. Would recommend.

The games room was really cold (it is winter so understandable), but once a few people were in there, it was better. Not much space if people are playing darts & pool at the same time but not a big deal.

It’s never easy to accommodate 12 different people of different generations but this house matched our needs perfectly. Very spacious internally with excellent communal areas. The hot tub is a nice extra! The surroundings are quite beautiful. Plenty of forest trails within walking distance and the Rogie Falls are only a couple of miles north of the property. Well worth seeing. Ann was fantastic at keeping in touch before and after we arrived. I didn’t actually meet her myself but she was there to help the initial guests in and then briefly checked in on us a couple of days later. Her instructions were crystal-clear. We all agreed we would happily return to this place.

Fantastic!

We stayed at Juniper Hill 3 years ago and loved it that much we have booked it again for a family members birthday. The location was great for the dogs who got to run about the entire weekend and a walk down to the loch right out the back door was a lovely added extra. The hot tub and pool table meant that we were never short of entertainment. The whole house is very spacious and comfortable and the fire in the living room brought some a homey feel to the stay. The host Ann is very welcoming and was always there if we needed anything. She even came down to say hello and check that we were settled in. All round a great trip and we all cannot wait to do it again.

That we weren’t there longer, will be booking a few more nights next time!

The house was beautiful and spacious and the garden was absolutely massive! It’s very quiet and peaceful and there are nice walks nearby. The owner was responsive and helpful. They also let us use their paddle boards and kayaks on a nearby loch which was a plus! The wifi was good enough for one person in our group to attend work Teams calls whilst others were also connected. The only minus was that although the kitchen was well equipped, some of the kitchen equipment were old, for example the frying pans. Overall we had a fab time!

A lovely homely house. Really appreciate owner decorating the house for us to make it Christmassy. Before the break the owner was helpful at answering my questions. On our second day we asked for an extra heater to rotate in conservatory and outdoor games room which were very cold. On Boxing day she again came over to drop off 2 bag for us to put the dirty towels and the dirty sheets in!!! Both time she did not wish season greetings or ask us how our stay was. Sadly, when we met her face to face the host was not very welcoming. Kitchen is small but well equipped. Drier in the game room did not operate. Surroundings The grounds and surroundings were amazing. One night we were in the hot tub and we were star gazing - amazing. The hot tub could easily fit six people. It was lovely with colour changing LED lights. Conservatory and the games room were an added bonus. Lovely walks to the lake and bumped in to some very friendly people. Tesco and Aldi are 8.5 miles away in the Contin.

nice property - could have been better

the property was lovely, nice hot tub, cosy living room clean beds

due to the owners other business we had to commit to not using the hot tub as much as we might have liked. also the kitchen was small and there was an old deflated balloon left in the living room- left from a previous tenant

Worth every penny.

The host Ann very friendly and always been ready to assist if we need anything else. Very welcoming and kind. The property is huge and we all (10 people) stayed there for 3 nights. Everyone spent a great time. The location is just unreal. Such a calm place, beautiful nature around. It was a perfect place to stay with a family and have a good rest as well. At the house we found everything we needed. We already thinking about to book in again, because it was not enough time to explore everything around. Also, host Ann provided us the access to the Loch Achility and her own boat and paddle boards. That was very kind and great apportunity to enjoy the weather at the beautiful loch. We had a wonderful time together. Highly recommend to visit this place at least once.

Fabulous stay with family in a lovely setting with lots of facilities for a large group

This cottage is ideal for families or groups who enjoy the outdoors as there is lots to do very local. The cottage itself has alot of good facilities: hot-tub, fire pit, pool table, darts board BBQ and lots of outdoor seating and flexible seating inside too in the bright conservatory or in the cosy living room.

great family time , surroundings could be improved

the size of the house was great as was the hot tub and the large garden. plenty of crockery, cutlery etc . The swing set was great too.house nice and warm with ample bathrooms.

I have contacted the owner direct regarding issues as not everyone has the same thoughts but I’ve had no response. Cleanliness could be better and some broken items need removed. Dog poo in garden not removed. house is a mismatch of modern and older items so would benefit from choosing one or the other.

Cozy, peaceful, relaxing stay for three families with kids

Common great feeling about our time spent here, such a lovely propery with all we needed for a fab summer holiday week in the Scottish highlands. Host (Ann) gave us a lovely opportunty to make our mark, we were offered three flowers to plant in the back garden (photots attached). We hope to be able to come back again one day to see them grown.

Amazing stay with the best views and relaxing hot tub

The Host was amazing - catered to our needs and always at hand for any questions or guidance. The property is situated on the Loch Achilty with surreal views of mountains and landscapes. The property was fully equipped with everything you would feel at home with. The beds were super comfortable and added touches of the hot tub, the fire pit and games room were great for entertainment. Would stay here again next time in the highlands.

Plenty of space, warm & very comfortable. Lovely modern bathrooms. Hot tub was great and super clean. Kids enjoyed playing pool & darts. Owner Ann was very friendly and offered us the loan of canoes to paddle on idyllic Loch Achilty.

Maybe just a little pricey for one family but would be better value for a larger group in post COVID times.

Amazing!

The lodge was very secluded - exactly what we wanted for a nice family weekend! The garden was fenced in for our dogs and the play area was great for the kids. All the rooms were excellent and super comfy. The whole lodge was just amazing and the scenery was perfect. The area was great for walks with the dogs and the loch that’s nearby was extra special.

Nice quiet location, couple of things to work on

Pros - private large garden with gate, enough space for large family, dog friendly at an extra charge, good local walks, sun loungers in garden

Cons- midges/spiders/daddy long legs. We were unable to use hot tub, games room or bbq facilities due to the amount of them. They were also inside the bedrooms despite windows being closed. (No fans provided so was very hot. 1/2 can of bug spray was left however an insect repellent light / candles needed) - only 2 dishwasher tablets were left for a 4 night stay & less than 1 roll of loo roll in each bathroom so bring your own! (Tesco at Dingwall is around 20 minute drive away) - minor con- dated decor inside for the price of the house and only 1 bench to seat 4 people for outside dining (for non midgey season!) Also hot tub was emptied at 6am when check out wasn’t until 10am (cleaners also arrived promptly at 9.50am ) understandably house needs thorough clean because of COVID.

Just back from an amazing stay at Juniper Hill. We couldn't fault the accommodation. Great place to get out of the city but still have all the amenities needed for a relaxing holiday. The owner was lovely and accommodating - we would recommend the strawberries! The house was clean and well equipped for everything - all cooking utensils etc. Wood provided for the fireplace. Hot tub was clean and easy to use. Beds were clean and comfortable. Could get onto netflix on the tv. The house is short drive or walk from a little cafe we loved called the coffee bothy. Short drive to nice walks eg Rogie Falls. We seen red kites and deer from the house. There was a sandpit and swing set in the garden. Would 100% recommend!

Great house at a fantastic location

The house has a jacuzzi, pool table, large garden and is surrounded by forest and a nearby lake, which meant the children were never bored. The landlady was extremely friendly, and borrowed us her canoes and toys for the children. Great location to explore the Scottish highlands and all its beauties. Hardly any midges, only in the evening and at night.
