Fast response on booking chat. Nice little house with separate bedroom and living room/kitchen. We were allowed to check in early which was very convenient and kind. There is netflix on the tv and a washing machine/dryer we could use.

We are not very picky or high standard people, but this was not wat we expected… It wasn’t very clean, a lot of hairs on the ground, the bed, etc. The drainage wasn’t working as well. We had to wait the whole day or night before the next person could shower and couldn’t use the bathroom sink. We didn’t get any kitchen knive. After asking the host and getting told it would be brought, nothing ever came (even after asking again). So we had to cut everything with butter knives… We also didn’t get any cloth to clean the kitchen or dry our dishes. Last problem was the bed, after repeatedly putting it back the slatted frame kept falling out while barely even moving. After sending a message to notify the owner of these problems before writing the review, she/he never replied…

It had everything we needed and was in a great location.

We had some issues with the plumbing in the shower.

Location was a couple of minutes away from the centre.Living area and bedroom nicely decorated.Kitchen well equipped and also conveniently there was a washing machine.Apartment had electric heaters available and also an iron.

Difficult to find.. misguided information.Entry to the flat is actually through a back door where garage bins are kept. No instructions on how to lock the door. A parking permit would have made a huge difference since all parking spots required one. The bathroom needs a total refurbishment not even mirror??? As regards cleanliness the furniture and floor were clean however my husband mentioned this after we left that there was hair on the crumpled bed sheets which he dusted off and made the bed cause if a new this I would have left.

This was a perfect cosy apartment that met all of our needs. It was equipped with everything we needed. Also had blankets and heaters. It had good wifi and was only a short walk to the city centre.

The apartment was quite small, perfect for two people though. Some of the heaters were a bit faulty but still had one that worked which was good. The mattress was okay but had a bit of a dip in it. The shower felt a bit old might need to be updated as there’s no light in the shower.

I didn’t know about the button for the shower. I’ve never used a shower like that before were you turn on the water. It was hard to find. The instructions were helpful. It felt a little away from the main town and as a stranger to Inverness I wasn’t sure if I was safe walking around in that area.

Location was fantastic

The facilities are quite tired and would benefit from some cosmetic upgrading. However, it felt like that was reflected in the price paid.

Really easy to pick up the keys, although I wasn't automatically sent the information as I was meant to be so I had to phone the owner the day before we came. It's a sweet little flat which is well located for the sites in Inverness.

The only thing was the flat was very cold (we visited in June, but a freezing cold June!) there were little electric heaters which we were able to use but they weren't brilliant and I couldn't figure out putting the heating on. Perhaps having a little guest book with recommendations would have been helpful.

Lage war ganz gut.

Es war nicht besonders sauber. Große Spinngeweben im Wohnbereich und die Dusche war voller Schimmel. Das Bett machte keinen frisch bezogenen Eindruck, zum Glück haben wir Schlafsäcke dabei. Ein Messer suchten wir vergeblich, dafür stand jede Menge unnützer Tand herum. Wir erwarten nicht so super viel, aber sauber sollte es schon sein und ein wenig Obst hätten wir uns auch gerne zum Frühstück geschält. Bei dem Preis haben wir mehr erwartet und finden ihn unangemessen, zumal die Dusche nicht nur aus hygienischen Gründen eine Zumutung war, sondern auch aus gesundheitlichen.

Great Location

The Bathroom was tiny, dark and old. There were 3_4 garbages in front of the door which were unpleasant and neighbors frequently came around to leave their trashes.

The location was 10/10

We found the apartment was small, awkward space from bathroom to kitchen to bedroom including no-where to hang or store clothing for 2 people staying for 7 days. If you have a car, be aware you have to find parking, that might be streets away for free, or you have to find paid parking (mostly in 4 hour blocks) several streets or kilometers away. The shower was old - not in a charming way - with the screen door extremely small, and mould is never acceptable in paid accommodation… and there was plenty of it. Turning the heaters on should have been as simple as… turning them on. The panel heater in the living area failed to put out any heat. We were not comfortable turning on the heater in the bedroom as it had burn marks on the display screen. Three slats under the bed collapsed with no more encouragement than laying down watching an iPad! And, the pillows need serious replacement, they are as old as the building. Most disappointing was the Host's attitude to the feedback we gave by direct email to her. She only responded when we insisted on having a response via the agency that markets the property (10/10 to them for the follow through), hence the decision to give this poor review. Please, don't pay for this sub standard property, go elsewhere!

Nice unit in a good location not far from the city centre.

It would be nice for a few small items such as tea, coffee, toiletries & laundry detergent sachets to be supplied. The door lock was particularly difficult to use so instructions before arrival would be helpful as well as on how to use the shower. The shower could be a little cleaner. There is no parking nearby between 8am - 6pm and had to park 2 km away but overnight we could park in the nearby street.

Nous n'avons jamais reçu le mail pour l'arrivée dans le logement malgré un mail et des messages sur booking. Heureusement que des voisins nous ont aidé et ont appelé la responsable du logement. Le logement était sale et froid, les draps du lit pas changés, des toiles d'araignée et il faut 2 radiateurs portables car ceux du logement ne fonctionnent pas. Le lit est un peu petit et bruyant. Il n'y a ni sel ni poivre, pas de thé et pas d'articles de toilettes comme montré sur les photos et précisé dans l'annonce. La douche est archaïque. Il n'y avait que 2 verres et 1 verre à pied. L'espace de cuisine est serré, il est très compliqué de faire la vaisselle.

Property is located at a quiet area, near to the Ness islands and a 20min walk from Inverness train station. Availability of a washing machine with dryer function. Adequate heating in the house.

Facilities was poor. A lot of thrash was stored beneath the bed, which was itself very unstable and small. It looked more like a super single bed rather than a double bed. The shower cubicle was clogged and shower water cannot be decanted properly, which was frankly speaking, very disgusting. Temperature of the water from the face basin cannot be controlled and it was either very hot or very cold. Door lock system was not intuitive at all and i spent a long time trying to lock the door. The host, Alexandra was practically uncontactable. She did not respond to my emails or WhatsApp messages asking for clarifications. This is quite unacceptable for a paying guest.

Good area with easy access to the city. The apartment was tidy and had the usual facilities.

Cleaning could be improved and there was no welcoming pack eg tea, coffee, milk etc.

Bed was super comfy, we slept amazingly well. The look and feel of the flat was great. The flat has everything one needs. Shower worked well.

Linen on bed was a bit dirty. Lack of windows makes for a bit of a dark mood. No mirror in bathroom. Worst part was the communication with the property. There seems to be a host and a management company. It's very unclear who guests have to talk to, who knows or does what. Utterly confusing. Here, I also have to blame booking.com. I got in touch with them on many occasions asking what's what and they basically don't know either.

Great location, within walking distance to many things. Glad we got to do our laundry (washer AND dryer).

Street itself and entry way kind of scruffy. No toiletries available (including hand wash), no paper towels or napkins. Would have been nice to have parking options specified. We wandered the neighborhood until we found parking, and don’t understand why owner didn’t offer parking suggestions.

It was very cosy and beautiful appartment, the host was very friendly and helped us a great deal.

Assez déçu par le rapport qualité prix du logement. Prestations moyennes (ampoule manquante dans la chambre, pas de lumière dans la douche, salle de bain peu fonctionnel) et une porte principale condamnée mais qui laisse fortement passer le bruit à proximité immédiate de la chambre. Sinon, logement facilement accessible à pied depuis le centre d'Inverness et cuisine fonctionnelle.

Smashing place, stone's throw from the City Centre, host lovely, would definitely book again 😊

El apartamento está bien, bien ubicado a pocos minutos andando del centro. La habitación es muy pequeña y un poco incómoda porque la cama es muy grande. No nos dejaron toallas y nos dijeron que las cogiésemos del canapé debajo de la cama. Es cierto que al llamarles y decirles que teníamos ese problema vinieron en seguida pero no nos gustó ese detalle. Tampoco dejaron gel o champú o papel de cocina/servilletas. La ducha es cierto en otros comentarios que no es muy agradable, pero a nosotros nos funcionó bien y sin problema.

There is no free parking around the apartment. We parked our car 25 minutes walking distance from the apartment. There was no information about check-in, we contacted and reached the host via Whats-App. Check-in is unusually late.

good location, 5-10 min walk to city center. Compact, but has necessities, think the kitchen could be better arranged.

noisy, people upstairs left there door open & noise came down via stairs to ground floor. Bed has a very soft mattress. need a small step for those of us that are short.

I loved how it was close walking distance to the Ness Islands and City Center. It’s quiet and made for the perfect anniversary getaway for me and my husband.

The property is in a relatively central location although it is still a 10 minute walk into the centre of Inverness.

Unfortunately when we arrived, we discovered two electric plug-in heaters which immediately raised red flags and wondered why they had been provided. We quickly discovered that the reason they were there was because only 1 out of the 4 fitted heaters/radiators in the apartment worked. The apartment was absolutely freezing and two plug-in electric heaters didn’t do much considering the temperatures in Inverness in December. I even messaged the host to ask how to work the fitted heaters, the response I received was that they are ‘temperamental’. This is not good enough, if you are aware the heating in your property is unreliable and does not work efficiently then it is your responsibility to fix this - not rent it out to guests and provide only two small plug-in electric heaters which don’t do nearly the same job that those fitted heaters would do. There is also a very good reason that there is no photos of the shower. It is extremely small, dark and dingy and we would not have booked this apartment if photos of the shower were provided beforehand. There was also no shower gel or hand soap despite the photos on booking.com stating there is. To add to this, there is also no salt/pepper or tea and coffee etc so make sure to take your own if you plan to cook yourselves, luckily we didn’t need as we dined out but surely this is a basic amenity which should be provided.

Was it a little bit difficult getting in touch with the host early on via email. Quick to respond via text message however. So if you are able to text I would text instead. It’s a lovely apartment. Best suited to a solo or double traveler. You can’t park right at the accommodation, but there is side street parking about a 5 or 10 minute walk away. Overall, I enjoyed this Airbnb :)

Good location of the apartment within the city. Parking is possible nearby, but you have to be lucky. The layout of the apartment itself is cute, and there is a lot of new furniture. It was a bit cold but 3 mobile and 2 mounted heaters are at your disposal. The reason for my bad review is the level of cleanliness. Stains on the bedsheet, hair everywhere, dirty dishes in cupboard. Also there is a reason why there are no clear picture of the shower itself. Having an old shower is ok, it being ancient and mouldy is not. Happy we just stayed one night and skipped the shower.

Bottom floor flat. Pokey but pleasant enough - certainly does the job for a one night stop in the city. Street parking around the flat is for permit holders, nearest parking is by the castle or possibly by the river. Shower is a bit grim.

Lovely clean, homely feel to the place.. Decent location, just over 10 minute walk to centre.. Really liked the idea of the amazon fire stick for YouTube, netflix etc on the TV. The apartment had everything you could need!

Contacting the owner - I tried to contact through booking.com on day of check in as we didn't receive any info on how to gain access. Got a reply by email that they only act as an agent for the owner but they did give me the contact number which led to us getting sorted! The shower - while the pressure was decent and quiet, the enclosure was small and dark. Parking - permit only parking nearby. We parked at the Cathedral car park for a good 24hour rate but it was just under 10 minute walk to the apartment.

Die Wohnung liegt ziemlich versteckt, sodass wir erstmal einige Minuten nach dem Eingang suchen mussten. Es war alles soweit sauber und ordentlich. Was uns nicht so sehr gefallen hat, ist die Hellhörigkeit: Das Schlafzimmer liegt scheinbar nur von einer (ehemaligen Wohnungs-)Tür getrennt von einem anderen Hauseingang, durch den sehr regelmäßig Menschen liefen. Das hörte sich teilweise an, als würden diese mitten durch das Airbnb gehen.

Good little place to crash for a night! Clean, easy. We found check in a little hard as there was not a person to meet you on site- the maps did not take us directly to the location so we had to do some digging. Parking was a big difficult as it was permit only between certain times of the day! So be prepared to walk :)

The location. Was a bit further out than we expected. The name suggests near the castle but was 15 minutes away. The area around the apartment was a bit run down.

This AirBnB was fine. It served its purpose and the price was adequate. We weren't blown away by the accommodation by any means. The shower was very small and dingy. We did not end up using it and if a photo of the shower was included in the listing, we likely would not have booked this residence. It was walking distance from several attractions and restaurants in Inverness which was helpful. Beware that if you are driving your own vehicle, there is no public parking available near the residence. This was not mentioned on the listing when I booked. The check-in instructions were quite difficult to follow as well.

The location was good, close to the city centre, about a ten minute walk

I never received information from the owner regarding how to get into the property, we sat outside for a good 20 minutes trying to get in touch. I did receive an email but there was nothing attached! To which the owner rudely responded to when I reached out on the phone. There was food still in the fridge when we arrived. A smelly pork pie, when we opened the fridge door it smelled foul. The bathroom bin had not been emptied and the shower head really needs a good proper scrub, it’s grimy. Mould and mildew spray is great for that just a tip… Can hear every single noise from the noisy neighbours so it’s not that quiet.

Nice little place close into town. As pictures show its not a big place but has everything you need for 1 or 2 people. Property is managed via third party which did make comms a little confusing but I didn’t have any real issues with that as some other reviews mentioned.

Petit logement entier avec arrivée autonome. Logement propre et literie confortable. Salle d’eau avec douche petite, difficile d’accès pour quelqu’un d’imposant. Cuisine bien équipée, dommage tout de même de ne pas y trouver quelques aliments d’appoint (sel, poivre, thé, café…).

Un peu compliqué de trouver la porte d'entrée en retrait de la rue, mais rien de bien méchant. Le vrai souci fut la propreté : A première vue tout était ok, mais en sortant les couverts, verres et assiettes de la cuisine, nous nous sommes rapidement rendus compte que des grosses traces de gras et de lèvres étaient visibles. Nous avons aussi retrouvé un mouchoir usagé sur le canapé! Un peu limite de ce point de vue là.

The flat itself was lovely and exactly as advertised. Good location, clean, and fully stocked. Unfortunately the listing is managed by an aggressive third party company who constantly spammed my email advertising their services and soliciting off-platform reviews. They also were slow to reply on platform and continually directed me to the host's mobile phone which is not something I would expect from a management company

Great for a couple days stay - not far to walk to into town, not too expensive and the flat was very clean and well presented My only complaint was that it was quite cold even after we put on the heating and the space heater provided. Just happened to be a cold couple of days which was a shame otherwise it wouldn't have been an issue! Also you don't deal directly with the host. The booking was through Travel Nest which was fine but made communication a bit more difficult

A really sweet, modern flat, in easy walking distance to the centre of Inverness. Alex the host was helpful and communicative when there was a glitch with the heating (or else the workings simply defeated me) and quickly located a replacement. I’d definitely recommend this place (especially if the heating is sorted. I’m an Australian in northern Scotland in October!). Thanks!

No on street parking but this isn't a problem as the cathedral car park is just across the river. It's about a 10 minute walk, across the bridge and a lovely walk.

This is a lovely apartment within easy walking distance from the town centre. It's in a nice and quiet area. The apartment itself has some lovely homely touches and was spotless.

Parking was a problem - the listing said there was parking on site but it’s all resident permit holders only, meaning you have to drive to find some random parking or pay £10 for 24hrs in the shopping centre car park 15mins walk away - not ideal. Also note the apartment is managed by travel nest not the property owner, as with other Airbnb’s, so comms is less smooth. Other than this, the location is good (10min walk from the centre) and the apartment is newly renovated - though the shower is very 70s still! Do bring shower gel and washing machine tablets as not provided. Overall completely fine place to stay for 1-2 nights and fairly priced.

Great location, clean and well stocked

The place was compact but very functional for 2 people. All the required facilities were provided. The location was excellent too; 2 minutes and you can walk along Caledonian Canal, with 10 minutes walk into the City.

Parking, Parking, Parking. You cannot park near the place from 8am to 6pm unless you have a parking permit, which is NOT provided. This was a very stressful situation when we arrived. The vendors must take this into account and provide parking permi if they are expecting to let out the place to car owners. One of the neighbours kindly let us use here driveway.
