Nice house in a great location, and a helpful host.

Cute cottage and great for what we needed it for. Pet friendly however no garden provided, so walk to closest bit of green is 5 mins away. Also a lot of cigarette butts and glass outside the front door so be careful with your pets. Whilst this isn’t the fault of the host, definitely something to be aware of and consider.

This place is stunning! The location is perfect as it is right next to the Main Street but also peaceful and relaxing. It was very cosy and comfortable and the decor was stunning.

The stairs don’t really do stairs but it was part of the property and our choice but found them steep

It’s location was excellent. Everything had been thought of and we loved the Christmas tree.

The open-plan downstairs kitchen and living area are lovely. There was even a Bluetooth speaker provided The kitchen had all the equipment you needed and more.

Sehr ansprechend maritim eingerichtetes, sehr sauberes Haus in zweiter Reihe in Anstruther. Wir haben uns im Haus von Trudi&Thomas sehr wohl gefühlt. Uns fehlten kurz vor der Anreise die Zugangsdaten. Diese wurden aber zeitnah auf Nachfrage gesendet.

We had the most amazing few days at Tucked Away. This is a gorgeous cottage, very well equipped within walking distance to shops and the main harbour. We found it to be the perfect location to explore the East Neuk. We had excellent communication with the host with very clear instructions to reach the property and gain access. We would certainly recommend and return to this property. it's 5 🌟's from us. Thank you again

Modern house finished to high standard. Well equipped kitchen. Handy for walks and restaurants.

The little balcony off the main bedroom needs a good clean. The glass is green with slime. It was disappointing as we were looking forward to using it in the afternoon/evening particularly as the weather was lovely. Also, the downstairs is dark due to the proximity of the building opposite which means the lights need to be on constantly. A better front door would cut down the noise from outside.

Great location and cottage.

Everything one needs for a vacation stay. Right next to the Anstruther harbour, few mins walk from the Isle of May cruises and multiple very nice restaurants. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place in this area.

Great location! Highly recommend taking a tour out to Isle of May. This location is about a 20 min drive to St Andrews. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this area and would stay here again.

Would definitely recommend. Fab location, so close to the waterfront, beaches and shops. Kitchen is extremely well equipped. Loved the dog friendly gifts on arrival, much appreciated.

Convenient location, close to the waterfront. It was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Great kitchen. Nice balcony off main room ( if you don't mind the smell of fish and chips cooking )

Directions on how to use heating would be good. Beds could be better quality. You may not always be able to get parking right there, but there is parking in the area.

Super clean and fresh, very well equipped. Great location right in centre. Balcony off of bedroom was a lovely addition. Very well thought out accomadation , super cosy and comfortable. Decorative touches are lovely. Would 100% recommend you stay here.

Only thing i would add is a small blind or curtain to door window. Surprising how busy the lane is and people can see right in. We kept blinds on front windos down for this very reason but it cuts down any natural light. Maybe privacy glass overlays on windows?

Lovely little house in a great convenient location. Very clean and smelt very nice with nice little touches all around.

Beds could have been a bit comfier and some instructions for the heating would have been good.

Lovely accommodation in a central location. It was spotlessly clean. Dog friendly and dog treat bag was much appreciated by my wee guy. The host was very responsive and helpful when I couldn’t work the heating. If I was to be critical my only complaint would be that the mattresses felt cheap, soft and very springy so we didn’t sleep as well as we would have liked. The host said he was going to look at this after we left so this may have been fixed by now. The central location is perfect for local bars and restaurants. On the flip side it is probably tricky to get parked in summer when the area is busier but we were out and about during the day and returned in the evening when there was ample parking spaces. This was a perfect location for lots of dog walks, play parks, and sea swimming…we managed a dip at cellerdyke and pittenweem. I’d also recommend the wee chippy for the best fish supper I’ve ever had and you should also visit scoop for amazing ice cream!!!!

Just had a great weekend staying in Anstruther & playing golf. Accommodation is perfect for two or three couples & central to everything. Parking was available just to the side of the property but plenty of parking elsewhere if needed. Really enjoyed The Bank Restaurant & local pubs too. This is our second time staying in Anstruther for gold & we would stay there again. Highly recommend to others.

Location was perfect. Just off the Main Street.

The heating kept defaulting to 9 degrees after a couple of hours. We would suddenly find we were getting cold and had to turn it up again.

house was great but couldn't find an iron or hairdryer and perhaps free view tv so we could watch news programmes like bbc/itv would be great rather than firestick.

downstairs spacious, upstairs bedrooms bit tight on space and main bed felt very unstable and uncomfortable /wobbly good position for town, seafront. personally felt claustrophobic because of it being down an alley

keys in key box, problem was getting key code from the owner and agents. table/chairs for dinning not suitable for 6 only 4 and crockery bit low, some extra cups at least would be good no parking

beautiful house so close to beach and local amenities would definitely go back only slight negative comment was tv reception which kept buffering when trying to watch football on Friday night perhaps if offered free view. that said overall loved the house.

Location was fab, once there no need to use the car again until we left. Well equipped kitchen, although I doubt many people use it. Nicely presented and certainly warm.

Second bedroom was a bit snug once you had 2 adults and luggage in the room but not a lot you can do about that. A walk in shower rather than an over the bath shower would be an excellent upgrade to the property if the owners were considering any changes. Slightly weird having the cloakroom toilet directly off the lounge area, but again I can see why it was that way so not really a criticism.

Second bedroom small bed and a bit tight , not great for 2 adults

Location, cleanliness, amenities were all good, everything was modern and fresh.

Beds were a bit uncomfortable but were ok for the couple of nights we were there. Would be a bit different if we had stayed for a longer break.

we had a very nice stay in Anstruther, this airbnb was fully equipped, clean, spacious,and a few feet away from the village shops, restaurants and the sea. We will be back.

The house is lovey and modern, second time staying here, location is right in the centre of town, 2 minute walk to most shops pubs and restaurants, and beach.

A little dark downstairs (could be a bonus in summer) and second bed not very comfortable. It would have been useful to have visible tumble dryer instructions as it is like flying a plane!!!!

Très bon emplacement, calme. Très belles prestations. Matelas à ressorts un peu mou à notre goût mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de vraiment apprécier ce logement. Difficile pour se garer en août. Nous recommandons ce logement.

The place is just lovely and we would stay again. Great location. Exactly as described.

There is only seating for 4 at the dining table and on the balcony and no extra chairs to use. so two have to sit elsewhere! As described there is no view from the windows, so you will overhear people walking past, the neighbours dogs etc. we closed the blinds as people tend to look in The cleaner arrived before 10am so leaving felt rushed.

Great stay in a great location! Very well kept home that is less than a block away from the famous Anstruther Fish Bar. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would come here again.

Great setting. Lovely house and beautifully set up.

The fridge wasn't working. We reported it and were promised a solution during our stay, but nothing happened. We were given a reduction on a meal at the neighbouring restaurant, but had to throw away food that we couldn't keep fresh. Also couldn't cool drinks. We understand these things happen, but felt let down by the lack of the promised solution. A mirror in the second bedroom would be useful.

It was a very comfortable stay. The owners seem to have thought of every detail. From the hairdryer in the bedroom, to milk in the fridge and even a welcome pack for our dogs with snacks and toys! Thank you! Also the starry lights on the bedroom ceiling were gorgeous!

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Location is perfect and it was spotlessy clean, and the owners have payed alot of attention to detail for guests and little furry friends.

Bed in main bedroom was quite hard and not the most comfortable but could be my personal preference.

The kitchen was modern and well equipped the living room was cosy the rooms were modern .

The main rooms bed was too close to the wall, meaning one person had trouble getting in would have been nice if there was space to walk round other side of bed.

The Airbnb was great for our group of 5 adults, ample space, good amenities and the sofa bed was really quick and easy to setup when we needed it. The actual Airbnb is tucked away on a side street so very quiet (though I’m sure Anstruther is quiet wherever you are) and there is a free parking nearby with a few spaces - we didn’t have any issues over the weekend. The Airbnb owner was really responsive and gave us a later checkout time, we really appreciate that! All in all, really loved our stay, such a nice part of the world to visit and would definitely come back.

Anstruther is such a lovely little town and the property is right off the Main Street at the Harbour. Lots of restaurants & cafes all within walking distance and the famous Anstruther chippy is literally 2 min walk, max! House was so well kitted out, kitchen cupboards was full. Lots of cleaning stuff & it’s so nicely laid out. We traveled as a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids age 13 & 10) and our British bulldog. We will definitely book again, a lovely property.

Really lovely place! Was there for a wedding but very close to the sea front and the fish bar!

People passing windows looking in, but just closed blinds , and the clear glass panel above door could be frosted as people in adjacent property can see in. On the whole not an issue just an observation and a preference of mine.

We found Tucked Away to be a great accommodation for our family of four. It was modern, comfortable and had a nice kitchen area. Pictures are accurate. We enjoyed an evening coastal walk thanks to the great proximity. We only spent one night but it would be great to spend more time in the area to explore more. We were able to find parking close by when we arrived in the evening. The noise from the alley can be heard in the living room, but we did not hear anything in the bedrooms at night. We would recommend and stay again.

Fabulous spot. Pictures do not do it justice. Perfect location as a 30 second walk to the bus stop - direct bus (17 min) to the Open at St. Andrews.

Loved the location & the downstairs space

We did not get the code to the place until we called several places to get it. We also had difficulty finding it. I assume it would have been in the e-mailed instructions that were not sent. Loved the lower floor set-up, but the master bedroom bed, was extremely uncomfortable. You could feel the springs. The second night we found another duvet to lay under, which made a big difference. It was great to have a washer and dryer, but we could not get the dryer to dry properly. Could have been operator error, but some instructions may help. I still would recommend the place, if the bed was improved
