Flemings Yard - Fantastic Town House in Anstruther

Lovely house with everything that you need

We had a wonderful stay here and there was a braw park just along the road for the doggies. You were literally minutes to the shops and hotels by foot. The wifi was also excellent and the living room had a real cosy feel. All mod cons in situ.

A garden for the doggies would have been lovely but obviously this is not possible and we knew this before we booked. A braw picturesque park is minutes away which even had lovely solar lighting for dog walkies in the dark.

Spacious property in ideal location for the town as well as St Andrews and the Fife coast.

Some of the window handles need some attention as were loose and difficult to close.

Had a great stay. The house is well equipped with good quality fixtures and fittings. Short walk to the harbour and main street. Very easy check-in and host was very responsive. House is lovely and bright and catches sun/sunset. Would recommend staying here.

The property was nice however the stairs are tricky to navigate for younger children.

The staff who managed the property. During a conversation with a member of staff to discuss a particular issue I was sworn at on several occasions and spoken to in a disgusting manner. When I raised this with the owner he seemed disinterested in my concerns and did not reply to my email.

Flemings yard was a lovely, spotlessly clean place to stay. Great amenities included in a well thought out space. great location for dondering down to the main street in a few minutes. we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again. thanks, Gemma and the Michies 😃

Really clean, great location and lovely bathrooms.

Only criticism was that the mattress in the downstairs bedroom was too hard for my taste. I realise that some people like a firm mattress so perhaps a memory foam topper might be handy for those who prefer a softer bed.

Great townhouse in a good location safe off-street parking and only a 5min walk to the harbour area.

Only thing I would suggest is fitting a door stop behind entrance door, only a matter of time before the wall get damaged.

our stay in Anstruther was fantastic. The property was clean, tidy and well presented. The location was brilliant - only 5 minute's walk to the harbour and several great chippies! The only slight negative was that the property took a while to heat up. However, this may have been to do with it not having been occupied over Xmas and New Years? Once it had heated up, the property was warm and cosy!

Flemings Yard is a beautiful townhouse which is very well equipped and presented. It was a lovely surprise to find a Christmas Tree which made our festive holiday.

The description needs to be amended to explain that both bathrooms are on the ground floor, as this may cause issues for anyone utilising the bedroom on the top floor.

We had a lovely stay at Fleming’s Yard, Anstruther. A last minute booking in the school holidays and visiting family in the Fife area. The place was clean and well presented. Narrow staircase would be unsuitable for very young children, elderly or those with mobility issues however this didn’t effect our family on this occasion. Thank you again

Flemings Yard was the ideal location and accommodation for an enjoyable trip to the East Neuk of Fife . The house was immaculate, clean and was extremely well equipped with everything thought provided to ensure a comfortable stay . All the furniture and bedding was very high quality. The owner was very responsive and access and instructions clear throughout. Highly recommended for a first class stay in Fife

2nd visit to Fleming yard, excellent location with a parking space. very clean apartment and had everything we required.

We had a great stay. The flat was excellent and in a great location. Found the stairs to be ok

Location was central. It was tricky getting out on to main road due to parked vehicles which blocked view of on coming traffic.

There was nothing that I didn’t like. Well maintained and well kept property. Two sets of stairs which are narrow and could be difficult to negotiate if you have mobility issues.

Both shower rooms were on the ground floor, the second bedroom was on the third floor . I thought the rooms were both en suites as I have stayed in this courtyard before, and that property had en suite from loft bedroom.

Stairs are quite steep. top floor room has to descend 2 flights for toilet.

No where in description of this rental does it say that the second bedroom is on the 3rd level and the bathroom is on the ground floor along with main bedroom and ensuite. Kitchen and living is on the 2nd floor. To access these areas you have very narrow winding staircases. This does not work for a lot of people and we found it very dangerous for us. We would never have booked this apartment if we were aware of this. Nightmare 2 nights for us.

The two bathrooms are on the ground floor so only en suite for one bedroom. There are steep stairs to first floor living room and kitchen and another steep stairs to second bedroom. It was not possible for older customers to easily carry large suitcase up two flights of stairs and access from top bedroom to toilet on ground floor difficult at night. Also entering private car park was precarious in avoiding bins on right side of entrance.. Very easy to scrape left side tyres and to avoid sharp damaged kerb.. The obvious repeated damage to the kerb which left sharp edge had clearly been there and deteriorating for years, confirmed by other Flemings Yard resident. My tyres on passenger side were scraped and damaged. It seems that local residents are not taking responsibility to repair this.

The place was in a great location and was fully loaded with everything you might need.

If we have to find a negative point, it may be the lack of an outdoor space to relax (terrace, balcony).

Location was excellent in the centre of Anstruther but also quiet. The property was spotlessly clean and the decor was lovely throughout the house. Parking also right outside the door, perfect.

Excellent location. Clean and well supplied. If only every place had such good stock of plush towels and kitchen equipment. The flow through air from the second floor windows was a real bonus.

Better directions for finding the property could be provided. A better description of the layout (3 stories, narrow stairs, bathrooms only on ground floor could be provided.) If you're on the second floor, you have 2 winding staircases to negotiate for the toilet in the middle of the night. Still loved the property and would return.

The accommodation was very well equipped. It was very clean and warm. It is located just around the corner of the harbour, shops and bars which was ideal. It is dog friendly with plentiful of walks near by.

The only down side is the second bedroom is on the 3rd floor and you have to go down to the ground floor to use the toilet. Apart from that, this is an excellent accommodation which we will use again in the future.

Enjoyed stay. All very comfortable and clean, but not suitable accommodation for more than one couple, as 1 bed and 2 bathrooms on ground floor, 2nd bedroom on 2nd floor, with very steep stairs and no toilet facilities.

Fantastic accommodation, very tastefully decorated everything you could wish for, Cosy comfy beds. Location was ideal for visiting around the East Coast . Even better than the pictures, and they are good. Would highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

It was home from home. We stayed here whilst getting home renovations carried out, it was a good choice during a time like that as it had all that we needed.

Just as advertised. Lovely clean, modern 3 story townhouse. 3 minutes walk from the Anstruther shorefront with it's restaurants and cafes. Ideal location for walking the East Neuk coastal path. Communication was great with Emma & Alan. Lockbox to get in so no problems there, we had an excellent couple of days walking with this as our base. We would use Fleming's Yard again.

This is a cozy home in a lovely town, with all the necessary amenities. It is very well decorated and maintained. Parking on site is a bonus. My family would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

It's even more lovely than the pictures. We didn't see the entrance at first but turns our we were just across the road. A quick call to the host and we were all sorted. Thank you.

the stairs are very steep, while fine for myself and my daughter can see that this could be an issue with younger kids. both bathrooms on the same floor was also a bit strange but didn’t negatively effect our stay.

What a lovely, well decorated house. It is in the perfect location with only a short walk to the harbour and the beautiful fishing village of Anstruther. The host had thought of everything we might need for our stay and the house was exceptionally clean and fresh. We had a lovely, relaxed time in Anstruther walking the coast and would definitely recommend staying at this house, we will be back!

Had a great stay here. The house is really lovely & is kitted out with everything you could possibly need. Furnished to a really high standard which made for a comfortable, relaxed stay. There is also private parking and you are only a short walk from the front.
