Bit surprised with the sizes! Front doors are 3/4 of a full size door. Which is ok, just need to bend down to get in. Shower is incredibly small and I really struggled to shower and turn around. Again it's ok as it looks fine and provides hot water just surprised!

Nothing ,filthy dirty should not have been advertised as a place for accommodation. Also it was advertised as luxury.

Everything was that bad my Wife and I could not stay there so we had to find alternative accommodation.

Perfect location, actual host got us parked and into the accommodation, well appointed self contained studio with tea, coffee, milk.

Bed was a little firm, the flat had been cleaned very well but with bleach, maybe could add some shower gel complimentary, studio would suit everyone as the shower is small, there are internal steps, steps up and a low door. We loved its individuality but could be worth highlighting. One of us is partially sighted at some did cause some issues.

It smells, needs decorated and the shower which you touch the 3 sides on if you get in has mould on the grouting It is all really cramped The bed is in a corner meaning both can only get in one side AND there is a plastic sheet on the bed making you sweat in the night There were no instructions at all about anything Sadly, it was so bad we left three night early, not being able to stand it any longer and booked elsewhere. Love the hosts. Love the place. Love the location. Had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend this charming place, perfect for one.

Some serious acrobatics required in the bathroom. Everything else was divine.

The property was ideally located between Keswick and Cockermouth. The host was friendly and welcoming when we arrived.

The property smelled strongly of wet dog.

Where to start… The bed needs replacing. I didn’t read the reviews before booking however having read them once there, it seems to be a problem for a long time. The shower doesn’t fit a normal human being. My partner is 5ft 7 and couldn’t have a proper shower. I am 5ft 4 and struggled. We stayed for 2 nights. There was a pungent smell of faeces near the bathroom that went towards the kitchen. We had to buy a candle to try and mask it. The bathroom door isn’t fit for purpose. It slides across and leaves a huge gap that is visible if you are sat on the sofa. Also no privacy when on the toilet. This isn’t a luxury studio. The internet didn’t work properly, and the front door has one small yale lock as the other bolts do not work. You climb up a metal staircase that’s quite dangerous in the wet weather and are met with a shorter door. The bed is against a wall which isn’t great for a couple. The tv is placed on the opposite wall so can’t watch whilst in bed. The decor isn’t luxury at all. It’s really worn and the wall paint needs touching up. You cannot advertise as luxury accommodation when there’s clearly flaws that should’nt be there.

Secluded country location - beautiful and quiet. Convenient for Cockermouth and the north lakes. Well equipped kitchen diner. Pleasant decor. Comfortable bed and sofa.

Shower very small - if you are generously proportioned you might not fit! Internet very slow but probably due to the rural location.

It was beautifully decorated - very comfortable and self catering facilities were more than adequate - Nespresso machine was lovely to have too.

This is more of an observation - the toilet and shower are beautifully decorated - but I am glad I am not outsized as it is compact and bijou - also will take my own Nespresso capsules next time I visit as the alternative capsules provided were not quite as nice

The room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a lovely night's stay. Very cosy living space with comfy sofa. The kitchen and bathroom were all new and nicely kept. The host was really nice and friendly too. The place is set in lovely and peaceful countryside, yet very easy to get to from the main roads. It's also perfect for dogs, as our dog is reactive to sounds in hotels/b&b's etc but as the walls are so thick and it's so quiet, he slept through without barking.

The bed was a bit hard for me, so I didn't have the best night's sleep. The shower was tiny which didn't bother me but my husband struggled a bit.

The hosts were fantastic (nothing too much trouble) allowed an early check in and no rush to leave & a secure garden for Enzo was brilliant, cozy & clean.

Value for money. A good base for a couple and Dog friend

The shower is particularly small. If you are a tall/big person this shower is not for you. Couldn't quite bend down to shave my legs - I'm 5'6. There was a sky light above the bed which didn't have a blind BUT the host was wonderful and provided us eye masks for our second night. Overall we had a LOVELY time!

A wonderful, friendly hostess. The accommodation is located on the territory of a farm, but it is located in such a way as not to violate the privacy of the guests. The apartments have everything you need. Wonderful, cozy ,clean, and cute place.

The bathroom was too dark for my wife to do her make up or hair... no plug sockets to allow her to dry her hair anywhere near a mirror. Shower filled with water and overflowed. So small no one can turn around in it. Bathroom nicely decorated but style over substance...needs redesigning

secluded out of the way next to an equestrian centre, photos looked lovely on booking.com and it was just like the photos

no wifi, no satellite tv, couldn’t have a shower as really too small, unless very small, only mirrors in bathroom which meant couldn’t plug hairdryer in near a mirror- I should’ve taken an extension lead. No broom or vacuum cleaner to use either, which meant struggled to clean up ourselves, which we like to do. So we took dogs, however the dogs from next door are allowed to roam in and around where we were staying, which caused for us an awful problem! One dog in particular wouldn’t leave us, was relentless at trying to be ‘too friendly’ to put it politely, with my girls. He was a permanent fixture that we couldn’t get rid of. I tried to take them for a walk just outside the property, they were on a lead, a black dog and the over friendly one came rushing out, the black one was being quite nasty and attacking the girls. I was screaming and shouting for help to get them both away, and whilst being attacked by one, the other one wouldn’t stop trying to be over friendly!! I was terrified for their safety. A woman did come out from the equestrian place, no apology- she just said , we’ve got dogs, what do you expect. !! I was out in the street! not on or near their property!! Moral of this story is, don’t take dogs to this dog friendly cottage!

false advertising, luxury it was not, dampness smell very present, the picture is of the main house and not the apartment, should be advertised as a studio from the start, no mention of the half door and stairs, dog poo in the garden, outside dining area was not good, garden not kept well, chairs sink in to stones enough to fall out of them. shower absolutely tiny. absolutely NO Wi-Fi, 5 tv service very basic . we paid for luxury and felt really let down. will not trust booking.com again for my weekends away

Charlie was very lovely and welcoming. The apartment was fine for our needs but like others have said, I wouldn't necessarily brand it as luxury. It's clean and finished to a nice standard, the outside area is also very sweet and the fire pit is a nice touch. There are also beautiful views out the back of the apartment. Downsides are that it's very tiny (my boyfriend could barely fit in the shower, he is 6ft and slim build). It was hard to regulate the temperature of the shower too, either scalding hot, or freezing cold, and it only came out in a dribble. The bed is also quite uncomfortable, it rolls you into the middle, so fine if you're a single person but with two of us wasn't the best. Despite those points though, it wasn't bad for the price we paid for the area and was great as a base for a couple of days.

Completely misleading description, we only stayed one night which was ok because we could definitely not have stayed any longer. Jill was an absolutely lovely person who was very welcoming, polite and helpful, she even offered that we may checkout later than the specified time as she had no bookings the following day. I think we went half an hour over. However, the actual apartment was definitely not up to standard and the description was very inaccurate. It is by no means luxury in any way what so ever. The door leading into the property is no more than five feet high which even a child would have to duck under which lead to us banging our heads several times. It isn't a one bedroom, it's a studio. The bathroom is tiny and you can barely fit in the shower, let alone move around. Plaster was dropping off the walls in places. The towels were clean but looked very grubby. The apartment is located on a working farm, Livery Stable so it was very noisy the following morning. Awful Stay.

The entrance to the studio flat was ok if you're a hobbit. Kitchen small but functional. The bathroom is very nice but shower extremely small. Bed looked beautiful but needs a new mattress. It's definitely not a luxury apartment. A small cosy studio flat is more like.

Small studio apartment with most of what you would need for a short stay in the Lake District. Comfy bed and very quiet area - you could only hear the horses at night.

It was ideal for a week away in the lakes with my partner and 2 dogs. We used it as a base and enjoyed days out to Cockermouth, Keswick and Ambleside which were all just a short car journey away. The hosts were very friendly and have decorated the apartment to a beautiful standard. The enclosed garden was perfect for my 2 cockapoo’s to enjoy and run around in. The bed and sofa were very comfortable and the kitchen equipped with everything we needed.

The wifi did not work, and signal was poor, which wasn’t ideal when needing to contact family to ‘check in’. However, understandable as the Manor House was under refurb, so this might of hindered the wifi strength.

Lovely, unique and compact accommodation, ideally situated for trips to the beach as well as the mountains,lakes and fells. Surrounded by beautiful views . Friendly hosts that leave you to yourselves but there if you need them.

The location was good, easy to find and in the countryside but only a couple of miles to the nearest town. The appliances were all good quality.

Jill’s little place was just what was needed. It’s very close to Cockersmouth, but still managing to be rural & secluded, in the middle of some beautiful countryside. Mobile (Voda) reception is a bit spotty & unfortunately the WiFi wasn’t working when we were there, but we were trying to get away form it all so it was perfect for us.

Not luxury. Outside unkempt. Don't book if you have mobility issues. Approx 10 steps up a metal staircase which are slippery if raining. Very low main front door - only a small child could enter without bending to get in. Double bed pushed against a wall. Need to climb over if 2 people using. Shower is far too small for any adult to wash comfortably. Shower head /rail not fitted adequately so unable to aim it correctly. Not enough plug sockets. Owners using adapters in the kitchen which felt unsafe. Only 1 teatowel provided.

Spent a night as part of a 10 day Scottish road trip. Lovely hosts, great quirky accommodation in a fantastic spot (if you like peace & quiet & scenic views).

Loved the building and the quirks it had. Bathroom was gorgeous and decor was lovely. The host was very friendly and on site if we had any questions. Location was great. Bottled water, tea and coffee available on the kitchen. Parking space provided. Easy to find, hosts directions we’re handy.

Listing said there would be toiletries provided so we didnt bring any. Got by with the mini soap I found in my bag but would have given a better overall review had this been provided as described. We were not able to find an ironing board and the iron was not able to be filled with fresh water. Again we managed fine as we only needed to iron 1 item quickly but had we had more ironing to do it would have been pretty difficult.

The apartment was fantastic as the views ,, peaceful nights and lovely walks plenty wildlife

Amazing, clean, modern apartment in the middle of a gorgeous quaint little farm/stables. Only a 10 minute car journey (if that) to the local town centre where you can find plenty of shops, pubs and eateries. The apartment has everything you need from a small kitchen, electric shower, large tv, extra comfy bed and pillows and a lovely enclosed garden (perfect for our dog) accompanied by a fire pit/BBQ. The owners were lovely too which was just the cherry on the cake for us, we enjoyed our stay so much that we even asked if we could stay an extra night. Can’t recommend this place enough, a real hidden gem we can’t wait to return to.

It was advertised as a one bedroom luxury apartment and it was a studio apartment. The shower is tiny. Although decorated nicely it is not a luxury apartment the bed isn't very comfortable neither were the pillows. No WiFi. Outside of the property looks very shaby. Staircase slippery when wet.

Flat is finished to a very high standard, got everything you need and also has a cot for babies, which was seriously appreciated! You can walk straight out into beautiful countryside too.

I would highly recommend this Air BnB. It was an ideal location to get around to multiple places in the lakes but was secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. We got a taxi with ease thanks to Jill’s really usefully text upon arrival which gave us really good tips for our stay. The place was immaculate and my little cavapoo settled with ease thanks to the quiet surroundings and her own little garden to explore. Jill was a great host, she let us know that we could arrive a bit earlier if we would like as they were ready prior to the set check in time and she was really prompt with replies and we knew she was there if needed but she was really respectful and let us just do our thing! We will definitely be coming back!

This is a lovely AirBnB with a lot of character. It felt very private and had lovely views of the fells. Everything was clean, nicely decorated, and the kitchen was really well equipped. We had a great time.

Extremely helpful and welcoming owners. Lots of information provided for the stay in a welcom email. Apartment done out to a high spec. Clean comfortable and quiet - exactly what me and my 2 dogs needed after a long journey. Probably the most comfortable bed ive ever slept in, lots of extra cushions and a nice throw made it extra cosy. Loved the fresh flowers!! And the free tea and coffee was so welcomed as I forgot to pack any! The private secluded garden was a god send to let the dogs out. Nothing too much hassle, offered a really late check out at no extra cost. Thank you for a lovely stay!! :)

Brand new property, really well done out. Kitchen was small, but had all that was needed for a couple days stay. Nicely decorated for Christmas and the host had left some homemade mince pies which were exceptional!!

It was really quite cold, we stayed in December, could have done with netter heating. Outside of the accommodation wasn't presented well.

Lovely chilled time here - just one night in this quirky, bijou apartment in the western lakes. Small but perfectly formed. A real cosy “den”. Lovely touches such as fresh flowers. My cavapoo Mabel loved it too. Great vibe.
