Charming Cabin near Snowdonia National Park

4 guests · 2 bedrooms · 2 beds · 1 bathroom

This cosy cabin is located in a wonderful, rural spot in Llanwnda near Caernarfon and the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Many of our guests use the cabin as a base for climbing Snowdon, paddle boarding and of course, visiting Snowdonia National Park. The beautiful scenery, neolithic sites and history are all around you. You will be spoilt for choice with outdoor activities, but the cabin is so peaceful that you might prefer to sit by the stove drinking your favourite tipple. The lovely living areas and excellent location make it the perfect choice for a family get away or get together with friends. This beautifully styled detached cabin sits in its own gardens and has oodles of character. It includes a host of modern comforts, making it an ideal home away from home. Being all on one level, it is ideal for young children and those that may find it difficult to move around. It has 2 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 4. In the first bedroom, you will find a double bed. The second bedroom also contains a double bed. A travel cot can also be provided free of charge on request. Superb find, can't wait to return again

This is a beautiful lodge near Snowdonia. Garden is so tranquil and peaceful. The home itself is spacious with two fair sized double bedrooms. Everything you could need inside for a few days away in the Welsh hills. The added benefit of a conservatory is great, it gets very warm with a bit of sun. We were fortunate to have superb weather on our visit (5-7th may 2025) and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our trip.

We came to ride the zip wire and the cabin was great for that.

The garden was great. And the area was perfect.

It was a little dated. The kitchen could do with a freshen up.

Magical time in this cabin with family

The cabin had everything you needed, and more.the outside space was amazing. With a summer house and 2 bar b que.benches to sit on .lots of room in the garden.our dog loved it.the little touches makes the cabin special. Like the books .with lots of tips about wales, and surrounding area.the beds was very comfortable. I loved the log burner.to start off wasn't sure how it works.but we figured it out.the tv had Netflix and so much more programs.the little personal touches too.was 1 St class.with woolen blankets you can put round your self in the garden.plus the washing was a bonus.we saw the pheasant too.and some ducks.right in the space, where our cars was parked.it was magical your cabin.so quiet at night.slept like a baby I did.my favourite part of the cabin.was the conservatory. Everything you needed to watch the wild life outside.i hope to return again one day.

Slight thing was the toliet seat.but it didn't bother us that much.

What an awesome little lodge, perfect location for where we wanted to be near the snowdonia area. The lodge was well kitted out with all you need for a few days. Only tiny gripe was that you could tell the place had pets in there previously, the description does say that pets are allowed but it triggered a few allergies and quite abit of hair knocking about. Other than that we loved it 👍

My best find so far!

This is truly a gem. The cabin is exactly as shown and more. Little details and lights and candles were beautiful. It has two double rooms, a cozy living room full books, board games, leaflets, dvds! A big hit for lord of the rings/ Harry Potter fans! The conservatory was gorgeous ! With a music player and more games and a picnic basket as well! A sun room and bbq in the garden is just the best ! We got great weather and were just sat looking at the garden all evening till the sundown. Can’t talk enough about the beautiful garden surrounding the cabin. Ian and Jill are so attentive whenever you need them. I had no network so they sent in their friend Nick to check in on us who was lovely! We will definitely visit again. What a great find this was ! Big hit!

Amazing, beautiful and a wonderful escape.

Property was located in a wonderful little corner. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and amazingly quiet. Property was very easy to get to and very clean upon arrival, and fantastic simple instructions easy to follow. The only negative would be the toilet seat is very loose, and moves about, and having not known before hand, caused a bit of panic. But once realised it was okay.

Not charming cabin

The whole cabin needs a deep clean everywhere. Mould is everywhere, even on the blinds, walls, and windows. The bathroom has broken tiles on the floor, and there is no bath, not what it says in the description. The carpets have stains they looked like ones from the four-legged friends. The garden is very untidy and not maintained. There is a broken fence panel, seating, needs cleaning, and at the side of the cabin is the dumping ground of broken units. Even found dead flies in the windows sill in the room connect to the kitchen. Lights do not work outside the property. The log fire was not cleaned out from the previous guest. This cabin really does need a lot of TLC it isn't what it says on the description when booking. Be aware dog's owners when booking dogs are free, but then you are asked to put £20 per dog in the honesty box....

The cabin at Bag End exceeded our expectations. It was a cold June weekend, but that didn't matter as we had a lovely log fire to keep us cosy . The cabin had everything we needed. The beach is close by with a fantastic cafe . We even had a visit from the friendly pea hen. It was such a relaxing weekend. The hosts have thought of everything.

Not property’s issue but it is hard to find on some map engines (eg. Waze) Google maps take you right to the location though.

One of the most beautiful properties I’ve stayed in. The feeling of zen envelops you as soon as you enter! What a find! An individual property, very welcoming indeed. So many little touches, the owners are exceptionally thoughtful, games, music, dvds, even dog treats and milk, biscuits etc on arrival 😊 We particularly appreciated the sofa bed in the conservatory ( my daughter joined us for a couple of nights for my mothers' birthday, and that was perfect for her) . The garden is gorgeous, we spent quite a time watching the birds, butterflies, insects, squirrel and peahen enjoying it with us, so tranquil ☺️ We would not hesitate to return next time we're in the area, if Bag End is available, ( we can see why its availability would be limited,it must be very popular)

Cosy bolt hole with great local scenery

The cabin was set in fabulous gardens and well away from any roads. In fact, to reach it, you have to drive down very narrow lanes which are barely wide enough for single cars - although there are passing places. There’s no “local” shops, but there’s a big TESCO nearby, 15 minutes away. The accommodation was really comfy and was well presented. The kitchen comes well stocked with pots and pans etc if you plan on cooking for yourself. The shower was lovely and warm, which was more than welcome after being out all day. We loved staying there and our three year old enjoyed the chicken and geese who live next door.

There really wasn’t anything to moan about. It’s well presented and super cosy. The cabin is stocked with books and games and there’s a barbecue and bikes to borrow. My only observation was that it just needs a bit of TLC, but not enough to not want to rebook!

Enjoyable stay in a comfortable, well equipped self-catering Cabin set in a pretty garden.

Very complete self-catering Cabin - with many games etc (no doubt for the rainy days!) - good neighbours - even streaming TV (but let down by internet speed). Helpful hosts.

Access roads - narrow - spotted with pot-holes - but this is the price for seclusion I guess. Best to approach from the A499 - avoiding the hamlet of Llandwrog. Cabin is beginning to show its age - HOWEVER - it is very comfortable property - to which we would return.

Everything was thought of and it was such a lovely space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The garden is gorgeous. Will be back!

Probably the best place I've ever stayed in!

An amazingly beautiful cabin, Super cozy with every facility you needed, a few lovely little touches like biscuits and milk in the fridge were greatly appreciated- The rooms were cozy and comfortable and the fire in the living room was amazing in the evening, You could even access Netflix on the TV. Waking up in the morning to the sound of chickens and geese in the garden and eating breakfast in the conservatory was like being in paradise, The location is only 5 minuets from the main town as well, Would love to be back and 100% recommend.

Attention to detail is incredible... the local Peahen likes to come in the back door for seed snacks, so make sure you take some bird seed with you... after 4 days we were still finding things we hadn't spotted before.... very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. There's a Bric-a-Brac shop fairly close by that's worth a visit, they make tea and coffee, and will also make you a toastie while you wander about browsing. They also supply fresh eggs from rare species hens. Make sure you give yourself a good few hours to look around as there is more than one building full of stock.

We enjoyed our stay in Wales. The cabin had everything we needed. It was in a good location, near the attractions we wanted to visit, such as Zipworld and Snowdonia. It was a short drive to the nearest town for shops and places to eat. The cabin was cosy, comfy beds, nice garden, log burner, and all home comforts. It was very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay, and would love to stay again.

Lovely little cabin with everything you could need

We were attending a family wedding in the area and this cabin was a perfect (even better) alternative to a hotel for us as a family with young children. The place is beautiful, the people around that we saw are friendly and the inside of the cabin is amazing too. Thank you

- The hosts were a little hard to get in touch with at the beginning/booking process but luckily they were not needed during the stay

What a fantastic little bolt-hole. The attention to detail was spot-on, from the selection of books, games and music, to the spice rack in the kitchen. Unfortunately we stayed during Storm Franklin, so our adventures were curtailed somewhat, but we made the most of it, snuggled under blankets in front of the log burner while the winds raged outside. The beds were warm and comfortable and we were very cosy, even if we did half expect to wake up in Kansas.

Bag End is a lovely, warm, cosy cabin which was a delightful haven (as we picked a weekend that coincided with a wintry storm). It’s quiet, extremely well provisioned, and Jill & Ian are great hosts. The location is wonderful, near glorious beaches and mountains. (Next time we hope we can see Snowdon through the rain!) Highly recommended.

This is a fabulous cabin, hosts were brilliant, location was excellent. Would stay here again! Close enough to Caernarfon that you easily pop in for dinner/castle but quiet enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife! Best of both worlds!

Really cosy and beautiful little cabin. Friendly and informative hosts, great base to explore Wales from.

Bed was just a little too soft for both of us but that's just our preference.
