It was very homely, perfect location, enclosed garden, lovey wild visitors (peahen & birds) and everything you could possibly need was there.
The garden was a bit overgrown, some of the cabin is needing TLC (outer wood work, bathroom floor)

Lots of character, creativity and attention to details put into this property.
It was well kept, we equipped, and felt homely without feeling like we were staying in someoneās home. The garden is beautiful with lots of places to sit and relax.
It had everything and more. Loved the garden too
Very quaint quiet cabin the only noise was some geese Well set out beautiful secluded garden dogs were very safe to leave running around all facilities very close and easy access to days out.

This is a beautiful lodge near Snowdonia. Garden is so tranquil and peaceful. The home itself is spacious with two fair sized double bedrooms. Everything you could need inside for a few days away in the Welsh hills. The added benefit of a conservatory is great, it gets very warm with a bit of sun. We were fortunate to have superb weather on our visit (5-7th may 2025) and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our trip.
Nothing!
The garden was great. And the area was perfect.
It was a little dated. The kitchen could do with a freshen up.
The cabin had everything you needed, and more.the outside space was amazing. With a summer house and 2 bar b que.benches to sit on .lots of room in the garden.our dog loved it.the little touches makes the cabin special. Like the books .with lots of tips about wales, and surrounding area.the beds was very comfortable. I loved the log burner.to start off wasn't sure how it works.but we figured it out.the tv had Netflix and so much more programs.the little personal touches too.was 1 St class.with woolen blankets you can put round your self in the garden.plus the washing was a bonus.we saw the pheasant too.and some ducks.right in the space, where our cars was parked.it was magical your cabin.so quiet at night.slept like a baby I did.my favourite part of the cabin.was the conservatory. Everything you needed to watch the wild life outside.i hope to return again one day.
Slight thing was the toliet seat.but it didn't bother us that much.
What an awesome little lodge, perfect location for where we wanted to be near the snowdonia area. The lodge was well kitted out with all you need for a few days. Only tiny gripe was that you could tell the place had pets in there previously, the description does say that pets are allowed but it triggered a few allergies and quite abit of hair knocking about. Other than that we loved it š
This is truly a gem. The cabin is exactly as shown and more. Little details and lights and candles were beautiful. It has two double rooms, a cozy living room full books, board games, leaflets, dvds! A big hit for lord of the rings/ Harry Potter fans! The conservatory was gorgeous ! With a music player and more games and a picnic basket as well! A sun room and bbq in the garden is just the best ! We got great weather and were just sat looking at the garden all evening till the sundown. Canāt talk enough about the beautiful garden surrounding the cabin. Ian and Jill are so attentive whenever you need them. I had no network so they sent in their friend Nick to check in on us who was lovely! We will definitely visit again. What a great find this was ! Big hit!
Nothing????
Property was located in a wonderful little corner. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and amazingly quiet. Property was very easy to get to and very clean upon arrival, and fantastic simple instructions easy to follow. The only negative would be the toilet seat is very loose, and moves about, and having not known before hand, caused a bit of panic. But once realised it was okay.
The whole cabin needs a deep clean everywhere. Mould is everywhere, even on the blinds, walls, and windows. The bathroom has broken tiles on the floor, and there is no bath, not what it says in the description. The carpets have stains they looked like ones from the four-legged friends. The garden is very untidy and not maintained. There is a broken fence panel, seating, needs cleaning, and at the side of the cabin is the dumping ground of broken units. Even found dead flies in the windows sill in the room connect to the kitchen. Lights do not work outside the property. The log fire was not cleaned out from the previous guest. This cabin really does need a lot of TLC it isn't what it says on the description when booking. Be aware dog's owners when booking dogs are free, but then you are asked to put £20 per dog in the honesty box....
Beautiful cabin. Couldn't have asked for more! So homely and safe! Lovely decorating! We will be back!
Nothing! It was all perfect!
Everything was perfect. The cabin had everything that we needed and more. It was beautiful š

The cabin was wonderful, lovely peaceful location, decorations were carefully curated and to our tastes. We even made friends with the resident peahen.. the cabin had everything we needed. Definitely will go again.

Quaint! Cosy home. Safe

Beautiful cosy cabin, perfect for what we wanted. The cabin is tastefully decorated and we really appreciated the Christmas decorations as we stayed over Christmas for three nights. It's very peaceful, with nice walks nearby. Great communication from the hosts. We definitely recommend it and will consider coming back. Thank you š
Perfect short/long break away.
Good price, nice neighbours, good location
Mold in some of the rooms and smell of damp. Heavy rain led to wet corner of room. No drying facilities so required frequent open fire.
Location, garden, quiet, very well equipped, lovely ambience. Comfortable beds.
Not easy to find. Went to wrong place initially.
the property is set in the country side. No noise of traffic or anything remotely city like. as you walk in it is like being welcomed home. Every tiny bit of attention ruin to detail has been thought of. the place is spotless clean and just simply amazing
nothing at all.
A lovely few days to get away from it all in lovely quirky cabin with a pretty garden . a great walk to the beach too. Thank you
Lovely quirky cabin in a gorgeous location, very cosy with everything you need. I loved the garden and sun room to chill out in. The friendly Peahen was delightful, I hand fed her peanuts the owners left for you to give her. The owners were very friendly and easy to get hold of if needed.
Nothing to not like.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of North Wales. Our daughter really enjoyed the friendly peahen that visited the gardens daily. The area was really peaceful but close to a fabulous beach as well as Caernarfon, which had plenty to see and do. Looking forward to returning soon
Relaxing
A lot of modernisation, not as quaint and unique as our last visit.

The cabin at Bag End exceeded our expectations. It was a cold June weekend, but that didn't matter as we had a lovely log fire to keep us cosy . The cabin had everything we needed. The beach is close by with a fantastic cafe . We even had a visit from the friendly pea hen. It was such a relaxing weekend. The hosts have thought of everything.
We didn't have longer.
We loved the location, it was well equipped, very peaceful/relaxing, gardens were beautiful and loved the wildlife around the area.
Nothing.
Canāt fault this place at all! Felt like we found ourselves in a fairy tale. The house had everything we needed and more. My teenage daughter loved it as much as adults.
Not propertyās issue but it is hard to find on some map engines (eg. Waze) Google maps take you right to the location though.
Beautiful garden and charming cabin, the best we have stayed in. Loved the homely feel and quirky decor. Great range of books and dvds. The tame pea. Hen eating out of our hand in the garden was the cherry on the cake.
Leaving.
Beautiful garden surrounding it, was in a lovely location. Was remote but still close to things. Peaceful and quiet.
The road down was very bumpy.
Cosy quiet cabin with a beautiful garden and long walks.
Just a bit to far away from shops and had to drive
One of the most beautiful properties Iāve stayed in. The feeling of zen envelops you as soon as you enter! The garden is teeming with flowers and birds of different kinds including a peahen who has made the back garden itās home. The whole place is decorated extremely thoughtfully with every detail catered for.
Very comfortable, owners have thought of everything. Love the enclosed garden and the peahen dropping by to visit.
Sadly the potholes on the access road have got worse since our last stay... it's a shared access so not sole responsibility of property owner...advise caution.
cute little bungalow. looks smaller from the outside but lovely and homely when you go inside. Nice touches throws , books cd.s games and a cute annexe area. Garden was fab for our two little dogs.
Everything . A lovely little place.
There wasnt anything that we didnt like.
Quiet location, nice and cosy. Nice touch with biscuits and milk on arrival Friendly peacock neighbour.
Single access road full of potholes Little bit of TLC required but not enough to stop us returning
Everything needed was there.peaceful location. Totally awesome.
Nothing
Easier to say what we didnāt like. Nothing!
A great stay at Bag End. Going to stay in a wooden house in the middle of winter, I was expecting it to be cold. If anything we were too hot with the fire going! Itās a beautiful, peaceful little house and every sight you want is within 30 minutes. Our hosts Jill and Ian left us some milk, tea, coffee and some biscuits. A very relaxing home.
There was nothing we did not like about the place.
Having to leave!!!
The warmth and thoughtfulness of the hosts was apparent from the moment we stepped through the door. An unusual and quirky cabin, extremely warm and comfortable (we visited in October), very well equipped and situated in beautiful surroundings but also a short drive away from amenities. I could not ask for more!
Nothing.
Lovely, cosy cabin! Perfect for what we wanted. Secure garden, meaning you we could let the dogs out and not have to worry! A great beach about a 10 minute drive, which does allow dogs in off season and was very quiet! Check in instructions were clear making it very easy! We will definitely be returning!
Location was perfect, lovely and peaceful. The cabin was cosy and comfortable, everything we needed for a short break was provided, we really appreciated the hosts leaving milk/biscuits etc. There were extra blankets and a log burner in case it got colder. The cabin is beautifully decorated, beds very very comfortable.
Beautiful home, Loved the wildlife. Would definately recommend.
What a find! An individual property, very welcoming indeed. So many little touches, the owners are exceptionally thoughtful, games, music, dvds, even dog treats and milk, biscuits etc on arrival š We particularly appreciated the sofa bed in the conservatory ( my daughter joined us for a couple of nights for my mothers' birthday, and that was perfect for her) . The garden is gorgeous, we spent quite a time watching the birds, butterflies, insects, squirrel and peahen enjoying it with us, so tranquil āŗļø We would not hesitate to return next time we're in the area, if Bag End is available, ( we can see why its availability would be limited,it must be very popular)
Had a great, cosy stay. Perfect place to come home to after a day of hiking.
Was very little to not like. Very comfortable cabin. Great lay out. Beautiful gardens. Parking right on the door step. Felt safe and secure. Kids loved it. Parents loved it!
Extractor fan in bathroom needs fixing. But thats all.
Had a really homely feel, well thought out and had everything you could need and some.
Everything was great, cosy, great location for Everything we come to do, comfy beds, lovely garden, would stay again
Nothing
Nice homely feel and location is quiet and chilled .
Not any local shops ⦠around 20 min drive to a tesco .
Very cosy and good location
Every thing was good
Everything....tranquil...quirky...loved our biscuits and milk tea and coffee on arrival..eveything was thought of and provided for loved it was off yhe bearen track too
Had to leave
The cabin was set in fabulous gardens and well away from any roads. In fact, to reach it, you have to drive down very narrow lanes which are barely wide enough for single cars - although there are passing places. Thereās no ālocalā shops, but thereās a big TESCO nearby, 15 minutes away. The accommodation was really comfy and was well presented. The kitchen comes well stocked with pots and pans etc if you plan on cooking for yourself. The shower was lovely and warm, which was more than welcome after being out all day. We loved staying there and our three year old enjoyed the chicken and geese who live next door.
There really wasnāt anything to moan about. Itās well presented and super cosy. The cabin is stocked with books and games and thereās a barbecue and bikes to borrow. My only observation was that it just needs a bit of TLC, but not enough to not want to rebook!
Sehr schöner Garten mitten in blühender Natur. Sehr ruhig. Gut ausgestattet.
Everything, we loved the quirky crafty touches. The birds and wildlife were so relaxing and the garden beautiful. The added touch of providing milk was gratefully received after a 6 hour journey to get there. š
Nothing, it was all marvellous. We would love to come back and visit again. Only thing we didn't like was having to leave.
Lovely cottage and a very comfortable stay. The gardens are an absolute highlight!
Very comfy and well laid out accommodation set in lovely gardens with plenty of outdoor furniture Lots of wild birds around, plus the friendly Peahen who paid us a visit each day, chickens next door and geese outside Lots of homely and thoughtful touches, plus enthusiastic helpful advice about how to make the most of our stay Great and varied music collection - I discovered a wonderful new artist Bikes available to borrow
Nothing, except our stay was all too short!
A really great little place to stay, off the beaten track but still easy to get to every thing and every where, warm and very cosy with a beautful garden to chill and enjoy a bottle or two,
The cabin is very cosy and well equipped. There is definitely a Lord of the Rings theme going on. It's very well taken care of. The garden is lovely.
The only thing I didn't love about the cabin was the smell. Everything smelled old and a bit musty.
The location is great in terms of things you can reach with a short drive. We didn't spend much time actually in the property as we made ourselves busy but it was very cosy and all the heating options made sure we were never cold
Perfect location for exploring north Wales. Accommodation had everything we needed and was cosy and homely. Access was easy and so was parking.
We had a great week , very nice and clean cabin . We highly recommend this cabin š
The cabin itself has a very homely feeling And lots of character. Very cosy and comfy. Itās got everything you would need. The garden is beautiful. Would really like to visit again. Lots of different kinds of wild birds visit the garden (I like to photograph nature so for me personally the cabin is situated perfectly) my 8 year old also really enjoyed the cabin. We also met the pea-hen :-) I havenāt had chance to pull the pictures from my camera on to my phone to share both pictures of the cabin and the Garden. Very lovely experience and would definitely book again. highly recommend.

Everything was perfect and Bag end was lovely, our 6 year old really enjoyed the games. Staying at Bag end made our trip memorable. Hope to stay here again in the future.
The stay at the house was wonderful, the bad thing was it was raining every day we were there, but the cabin made us have a good time, there were all kinds of board games we could play musical and dance, watch movies... everything great, we would like to return, we will surely returnšššš
Brill location for us. Clean and tidy. Everything we needed.
Nothing
Great cabin for a stay in this area. log fire adds to the ambience. well equipped kitchen and all facilities. Nice to have breakfast in the conservatory when weather grim outside. we enjoyed our little break
Bagend is an amazing little place. We had a fantastic stay and hope to return soon.
it was amazing value, the location was great, the garden was very well kept, the resident peacock was a bonus.
the pot holes in the road getting to the property
Very complete self-catering Cabin - with many games etc (no doubt for the rainy days!) - good neighbours - even streaming TV (but let down by internet speed). Helpful hosts.
Access roads - narrow - spotted with pot-holes - but this is the price for seclusion I guess. Best to approach from the A499 - avoiding the hamlet of Llandwrog. Cabin is beginning to show its age - HOWEVER - it is very comfortable property - to which we would return.
Perfect cabin to get away for the weekend. Check in was easy, location is fantastic for going to the beach for fish and chips, to the lake, Llyn Padarn for paddle boarding and the scenery is breathtaking. Even though we are local (1hour away) we will definitely be back and we canāt wait. Thank you so much.
The location and gardens and overall interior were well kept and looked after.
Everything was OK. Whilst these questions appear to be for a room we did hire a chalet on a small rural site. Quite hard to find without a satnav but we managed.
What an a absolutely gem of a place! We loved the serenity of the garden and the animals too.
Thank you so much for the amazing stay! We all enjoyed it so much! The place was very welcoming, clean and everything mentioned on the description was accurate. Thank you as well for the suggestions, gave them all a visit was really worth stopping by them all. Would definitely stay here again if we come back! Thank you!
a beautiful garden, well equipped with basic essentials
Amazing cabin and everything you can ask for. Peaceful surroundings and a magnificent atmosphere with attention to detail in every room.
Very quiet location which was perfect for us as thatās what we like. Thoughtful touches throughout the accommodation. Clean and comfortable beds. Overall a lovely place to stay!
Loved every minute, everything was thought of
Leaving
The title 'Charming 2-bedroom lodge' describes the property exactly. Set in its own lovely garden, the property was truly a home-from-home. The owners provided leaflets on activities and places to visit nearby, which was useful. Pleasant neighbours.
Only thing missing was a teapot.
A lovely cottage, just perfect, comfortable with everything you need with stunning gardens, we absolutely loved it. It's in an amazing location, perfect for exploring the North Welsh coast and Snowdonia. Caernarfon is the nearest big town which is 15 mins away and has an amazing castle and old town to explore. Also the property is walking distance to a very pretty beach with nices cafes, fish and chips and an impressive Iron Age Fort! Jill and Ian are friendly lovely hosts, can't recommend enough!
Bag End is a wonderfully comfortable and stylish cabin, set in a sweet pretty garden. My father and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and were very happy to come back at the end of each day. We loved the Llyn Peninsula, and especially exploring nearby. The cabin had everything we could ever need, and all in good condition. I would love to return with my husband.
Such a cosy little cabin - had everything you needed, and a perfect location for us going to Snowdon! We will definitely be back!

We like the blue cabin surrounded by beatuful flowers, enjoy watching birds in the backyard, supprisingly on Wednesday morning a beatiful peacock landed in the back garden. The cabin is comfortable and with every thing we need. The location is perfect for Snowdonia National Park.
The cabin is a lovely spot to explore the great beaches and get to Snowdon etc. Itās tucked away in a lovely friendly community. The cabin itself is very well designed and appointed. Everything was thought of and it was such a lovely space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The garden is gorgeous. Will be back!
Good hosts and nice accommodation.
An amazingly beautiful cabin, Super cozy with every facility you needed, a few lovely little touches like biscuits and milk in the fridge were greatly appreciated- The rooms were cozy and comfortable and the fire in the living room was amazing in the evening, You could even access Netflix on the TV. Waking up in the morning to the sound of chickens and geese in the garden and eating breakfast in the conservatory was like being in paradise, The location is only 5 minuets from the main town as well, Would love to be back and 100% recommend.
Nothing!
excellent stay! one of the best cabins which I've ever stayed in. beautiful bedrooms, cosy leaving room, great kitchen with all of the equipment we needed, absolutely amazing garden. couldn't ask for more. great host!

Attention to detail is incredible... the local Peahen likes to come in the back door for seed snacks, so make sure you take some bird seed with you... after 4 days we were still finding things we hadn't spotted before.... very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. There's a Bric-a-Brac shop fairly close by that's worth a visit, they make tea and coffee, and will also make you a toastie while you wander about browsing. They also supply fresh eggs from rare species hens. Make sure you give yourself a good few hours to look around as there is more than one building full of stock.
Tvarka, jaukumas kaip namuose, viskuom buvo pasirūpinta
What a great bolt hole to stay in. Had everything we needed and more. Very comfy and very well priced. Will be looking to stay again when back in the area.
We enjoyed our stay in Wales. The cabin had everything we needed. It was in a good location, near the attractions we wanted to visit, such as Zipworld and Snowdonia. It was a short drive to the nearest town for shops and places to eat. The cabin was cosy, comfy beds, nice garden, log burner, and all home comforts. It was very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay, and would love to stay again.
We were attending a family wedding in the area and this cabin was a perfect (even better) alternative to a hotel for us as a family with young children. The place is beautiful, the people around that we saw are friendly and the inside of the cabin is amazing too. Thank you
- The hosts were a little hard to get in touch with at the beginning/booking process but luckily they were not needed during the stay
everything a charming place, wonderful garden and the cabin was so welcoming with everything we needed. excellent!!
we had to leave!
Lovely place - really exceeded expectations and was perfect for climbing Snowdon.
Perfect location, had all required amenities.
Lovely little cozy cabin, close to the beach and mountains. Loved our stay and would happily stay again.
We had a lovely stay here in Wales. The location is perfect for exploring. The cabin has everything you could need for a comfortable stay and the resident chickens and geese are a lovely bonus!
What a fantastic little bolt-hole. The attention to detail was spot-on, from the selection of books, games and music, to the spice rack in the kitchen. Unfortunately we stayed during Storm Franklin, so our adventures were curtailed somewhat, but we made the most of it, snuggled under blankets in front of the log burner while the winds raged outside. The beds were warm and comfortable and we were very cosy, even if we did half expect to wake up in Kansas.
Bag End is a lovely, warm, cosy cabin which was a delightful haven (as we picked a weekend that coincided with a wintry storm). Itās quiet, extremely well provisioned, and Jill & Ian are great hosts. The location is wonderful, near glorious beaches and mountains. (Next time we hope we can see Snowdon through the rain!) Highly recommended.
This is a fabulous cabin, hosts were brilliant, location was excellent. Would stay here again! Close enough to Caernarfon that you easily pop in for dinner/castle but quiet enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife! Best of both worlds!
We loved it Beautiful little house Very quiet area Good place to relax
Really cosy and beautiful little cabin. Friendly and informative hosts, great base to explore Wales from.
Bed was just a little too soft for both of us but that's just our preference.
What a delightful spot! Great place to stay. Clean, tidy, good kitchen & bed(s). Working internet & smart TV and an interestingly eclectic book collection too!
