Stunning views, exceptional amenities and we look forward to our next stay!

The property is perfect and located close enough to civilization but far enough from others where you feel like you have privacy.

That we couldn't stay longer.

Beautiful location and very responsive hosts, I'd strongly recommend Lucky Stone Retreat. The new Spa room and sauna were spectacular with a direct view of the water. It was so peaceful; a great place to relax after hiking the amazing Acadia trails.

I would still give a 5 star to this amazing place even though we experienced power outages due to the storm. This place is amazingly beautiful and peaceful. The host is very responsive and flexible. She is constantly checking on us and supporting us with resources that she knows. We are so sad to leave early as planned because there is no heat and water due to the power outage, but we will definitely come back in the future! Highly recommend if you need a peaceful staycation, and if you have dogs, this place is definitely a heaven for them! My dog enjoyed running in snow and walking near the shore. Besides the unpredictable situation, this is the best Christmas we ever had!

This cottage is fabulous. The location is great, right in between Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic peninsula. There is a convenience store with a deli within walking distance. The house provided everything we needed for our stay with a well stocked pantry and kitchen. The house itself is updated with two spacious bedrooms each with their own updated and spacious bathroom. You can sit on the deck and watch the fisherman or it has a private beach. It's rocky and the water is cold so I don't think you'd want to swim but it always seemed calm so it's probably great for kayaking. It's not far from the main road and in a very quiet little neighborhood. The views are amazing, pictures don't do it justice. We would definitely come for a return visit.

The house is absolutely gorgeous in the perfect setting. It is clean and beautifully presented. My only bug bear is the communication which is very poor. We couldn’t get a problem resolved when we were staying in the house and I would, perfectly naturally, expect an immediate response to an issue. Saying that, if communication can be resolved, it really is a fantastic place to stay.

This was my family’s first visit to Maine. After a very long and traffic filled drive from northern Virginia, we pulled into the driveway of the lucky stone and saw the gorgeous view. The house was beautiful and updated on the inside. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked every dinner at the house! We grilled steaks, we made lobster, shucked oysters, sautéed scallops and roasted vegetables from the local farmers market. The beds were the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in away from home and the bedding was cozy and comfortable too. We hung a hammock in the back yard, built a fire in the fire pit and made s’mores. We explored all of desert island as well as the schoodic peninsula, which was actually our favorite and it was closer to the house. We are big hikers and did all the big hikes in Acadia but also found a few good ones close to the house. We really can’t say enough about our time at the lucky stone, Sullivan and Acadia National Park. Thank you!

Very cute place! The staircases on the property both leading off the porch and down to the water are pretty steep—just something to note if you are disabled or have a senior dog. Staircases are study and safe, though! We enjoyed our stay here a lot.

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at Lucky Stone Retreat with beautiful views! The house is exactly as pictured and was very clean and comfortable. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars for communication is that the hosting company reaches out to you separately via email outside of the Airbnb app for check-in information, and I was given an international phone number to reach out to with any questions. Also, there is a liability waiver that needs to be signed before check-in by guests, and this detail is not included in the Airbnb listing. Wasn’t a big deal for us, but some people like to know that before booking a rental property. Overall, everything else was 5 stars!

Absolutely lovely home and location! House was well updated and the view was priceless. We saw otters and loons everyday. Quiet location and easy to find. About 40 minutes from the main Acadia National Park entrance, but we also enjoyed the Schoodic peninsula, which was only 25 minutes away.

Lucky Stone Retreat is a beautiful and well-equipped home on the water, with stunning views of Frenchman's Bay and Cadillac Mountain. We really enjoyed our stay. It's about 45 minutes to Bar Harbor and the main part of Acadia NP, and about half an hour to the dramatic Schoodic Peninsula. Would definitely stay there again!

Had the most amazing time at this spot - absolutely gorgeous views, wonderful home, it is clear they treat the spot with care. It was well worth it! The only things that prevents me from giving this a 5 out of 5 is the fact that (1) the giant gorgeous luxurious soaker tub that they indicated takes 30 minutes to fill actually takes over 2 hours to fill (which is a bit inconvenient) - so future guests need to be aware of that; (2) the bedroom doors - which are sliding barn doors - were broken and could not be closed; and (3) the fridge was not hooked up to any water so the ice and water dispenser did not work. Other than that, it was a wonderful place that I highly recommend - quiet, serene, beautiful!
