One Bedroom flat in Whitstable with free parking

Die Wohnung war super gut ausgestattet. Hier gab es wirklich alles was man braucht. Zum Empfang gab es eine Schale mit Süßigkeiten und einen Sekt und Milch. Das war der herzlicheste Empfang den wir auf unserer Rundreise durch Südengland hatten. Man fühlte sich sofort willkommen. Man kann einen Parkplatz auf einem lokalen Parkgelände benutzen. Und nicht zu vergessen die Dusche. Die hatte einen angenehm kräftigen Strahl. Damit die zweite Kategorie gewonnen: beste Dusche auf der Reise.

Da es sehr warm war mussten wir nachts die Fenster auflassen und durch die Hauptstraße etwas laut. Das war es aber schon an Dingen die man beanstanden kann.

The apartment is very nice and well located in terms of proximity to the town. Excellent kitchen facilities. Comfy bed. Really good shower and nice lotions etc.

This is probably not a problem for most but the mid-night walk to the loo from the bedroom was a bit long for us as one of us had recently had surgery that affected that aspect of life. The bedroom faces the road and is a bit too noisy to leave the windows open but we had fans so that really helped with the heat.

We've been traveling through the UK for 7 weeks and we were very glad that this was the last property we stayed in because of the quality of the apartment, the completeness of the kitchen equipment (I'm a hobby chef 😊), the free parking space and the location close to the centre of the village. With 2 exceptions the previous 6 rental accommodations varied between just OK and "never again!", so staying here was relaxed and pleasant. I mentioned the kitchen already, but this is the first apartment ever to have a really complete set of cutlery, pots and pans, plates and what have you. Normally I bring my own kitchen stuff, but this time I could leave it all in the car. 😊 Before we went to the UK the hosts already sent us a web app with all relevant information, so orientation in and around the flat was a snap. The bed was good, even though a bit narrow. Internet was OK with 28.9 Mb/s download, enough for us to stream Dutch TV and Netflix in UHD quality. Getting into town is easy: a 10 minute walk for the centre and 5 minutes more for the beach. Our best eating experience was at Wheelers Oyster Bar: the 8 course tasting menu. Should you wish to go there, make sure you have reservations ahead of time, as seating is very limited.

The parking location wasn't clearly indicated in the web app, you could only find it when searching for Parking in the app. Even then, I would add the what3words.com location info, as that will send your navigation system exactly to the narrow entrance of the parking lot. The location is: ///octagon.pulps.beamed, If you don't know the system, google "what 3 words" for more info, it's really useful. Similarly the location for the entrance to the flat is: ///swarm.chipper.pesky. Canterbury Street is a noisy through road and that took a bit of getting used to, but was OK after the first night.

It was excellent. Met by kind, helpful, owner. The accommodation lacked nothing. Easy very short walk to lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs. A lovely comfortable place to stay.

Really well equipped. To a high standard. Everything worked (blinds curtains etc). Appreciated the bottle of milk when we arrived. The bed was comfortable. Crockery, glassware and cooking utensils were excellent.

It was fine for us, perfect in every way. Please note it is an upstairs flat and not surprisingly you have to climb steps to get there!

Clean and cozy flat. The owners were very helpful and responded very promptly to our messages. We loved the welcome gifts they provided (chocolates and prosecco!). The off -street parking was very handy as there are not many options in Whitstable and they are very expensive. We will definitely be booking this flat again!

Excellent choice - short walk into town. Coop store, takeaways and micropub very short distance away. Owners obviously putting a lot of care into the place.

Nothing from a personal point of view but some might find the access to the flat (external stairs) a little challenging if mobility not 100%.

Appartement moderne bien agencé et très bien équipé. Les hôtes, même si nous ne les avons pas vus, ont veillé à ce que nous ayons toutes les informations nécessaires pour le bon déroulement du séjour. Petites attentions à notre arrivée très appréciées. It was really well set up with lots of little extras put in. Very well equipped, thought of everything! Communication from owners was brilliant and we really enjoyed our time there. The parking space was a great extra but very hard to get in car park with other cars parked on the road. Loved the balcony and the courtyard, felt nice and secure with the downstairs gate. Would definitely go back.

Noisy by the road. Couldn’t have the windows open and hear TV. But this was the only downside.

This apartment is beautiful, clean and comfortable, the hoists Gary and Venessa left chocolates and bubbly, milk, tea, coffee, all the things you might expect, but also Yankee candles, which was a lovely thoughtful extra. The location of the apartment was perfect, minutes from the beach, centre of town and the theatre where we had booked a concert, This was serendipity, finding the property was a happy accident, Gary and Venessa are excellent communicators and answered any question we put to them with patients and grace, anyone who have the great fortune to stay at 59a will not be sorry thank you Gary and Venessa

This apartment is spacious, comfortable and well-situated - the main shopping-street is just around the corner, with some excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, and there is a bus-stop just along the road, from which you can catch a bus into Canterbury. ( a lovely day out).The hosts are easy to contact, and very pleasant and helpful. We would not hesitate to book here again, and would highly recommend the apartment.

What's not to like?

Free parking and location ideal for our purposes. Very clean and modern design throughout. Excellent hosts, thought of everything and some extra touches made us feel very welcome. Suited three adults much better than booking two hotel rooms. More relaxing and TV screen is bigger, too!

No complaints but advise others to heed the accurate description. It is on a main road and you can hear traffic even with double glazing. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The steps up are steep as per description but lighting and hand rails are good.

Perfect stay. Everything you could possibly need was included in this apartment. Very clean, very comfortable. The hosts had also decorated the apartment with Christmas decorations for the Christmas break.

Flat is within easy walking distance to main High Street, which made free onsite designated parking a real bonus. Host Vanessa was still onsite when we arrived at checkin time which was so nice as we got to meet her personally. The flat was super clean which is always important to me. Vanessa has literally thought of everything from an abundance of towels to a welcome box of chocolates fizz and fresh milk. Great few days away returned home totally chilled. Thank you !

Not a criticism more a comment but bedroom was to front of property which is on the main road into and out of Town so traffic noise quite consistent late evening and early morning. Just something to consider if you are a light sleeper.

It’s rare to find holiday accommodation where every little detail has been considered but this was the case here. There were ample pillows, all exceptionally comfortable, bedside tables with plenty of sockets nearby, a socket by a large mirror so you can dry your hair, and (very unusually) more crockery than you needed - with large mugs! The whole property was spotless and everything you could need was provided. The location was good - particularly convenient for the station with a good train service to explore further along the coast.

Not a problem for us, but anyone elderly or infirm would struggle with the steps up to the property.

The flat was really lovely, very clean and well equiped. The beds and sofa were very comfortable, it felt cosy but there was loads of space to put all our things too. Some milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge was a nice welcoming touch. We would definitely stay there again. The location was great, only a few minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and beach. Whitstable is a lovely place for a short stay, lots of places to eat and great coastal walks.

It was all great, no complaints at all.

My husband and I really enjoyed our trip to Whitstable staying in this beautiful self contained apartment, which was super clean, well furnished and kitted out to a very high standard. Vanessa & Gary had thought of everything to make the property work on all levels, even leaving gifts of wine, milk and chocolates! The property, a short 5 minute walk into town, has a parking space too! Highly recommended.

I thought it'd be closer to the beach but perhaps it felt further because of the bad weather, so no complaints.

I really appreciated the decor of the flat: the colour coordination, the comfort, and the thoughtful touches such as a fleecy blanket to snuggle under on the sofa. The owners have done a fantastic job with a relatively small space, and it’s beautifully maintained. It was also lovely to be welcomed with a small bottle of Prosecco and a box of fancy biscuits!

Stairs leading up to the apartment were a bit daunting.

Perfect short break in a lovely flat. You are just a 10 minute walk from the railway station and a slightly longer walk into the town and harbour areas. The car parking arrangements meant we left ours parked for the duration and either walked, trained or bussed to wherever we went. The flat is well equipped with everything we needed for a fantastic stay, comfortable, spotlessly clean and just as described on the website. Thank you Vanessa and Gary we had a great time and would certainly come again.

Lovely property - clean, nicely decorated. Close to the high street so an ideal location for a short stay. The host had left a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates which was a lovely treat with great amenities available too. Would highly recommend when staying in Whitstable!

Everything was great. I particularly liked that the hosts seemed to have thought of everything - from coffee maker to first aid kit. Extremely good location - 5 minutes walk to the beach, supermarket 1 minute away, plenty of cafes, pubs and shops within walking distance. I'll definitely stay there again.

I can't really think of anything - the apartment doesn't have great 'curb appeal' (it doesn't look that great from the outside) but I knew that from the photos and once inside it is so nice that we didn't worry at all about the outside space/views.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and very comfortable. The attention to detail was excellent and the quality of everything was great. We stayed here with our daughter and there was plenty of space for the 3 of us. Good location close to the town and the beach. The owners were welcoming, attentive and efficient, contacting us via email and text with instructions on how to access keys for the apartment and where to park. The welcome gift of prosecco, biscuits and milk was a really nice touch.

There wasn't anything we didn't like apart from having leave at the end of our stay and wishing we had booked to stay for longer.

The location was just perfect very convenient for the town and buses. The apartment was more than perfect with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The hosts had thought of everything even the most simple of things.

I knew that it was a first floor apartment but the stairs are very steep and as we had rain were quite slippery, but the owners had tried to make them as safe as possible.

The location was great, the accommodation clean and very newly and well furnished, with excellent facilities, and the service provided by the hosts was terrific. One of the best holiday flats we have ever rented.

There was nothing we didn't like!

As soon as we booked (and then later rescheduled due to the pandemic), the owners were professional, friendly and helpful. Communication was great and they promptly responded. Upon arrival, I called to ask a question and, as before, my query was solved straight away. Before we even got into the apartment, we were very happy with the location as it’s close to local amenities, the town and within walking distance of the beach. The apartment itself was perfect - modern and clean but with lovely little extras that made it feel homely and welcoming. They provided books, games and tourism guides as well as welcoming us with wine and and chocolates. Everything in the apartment was easy to use and in full working order. We didn’t find ourselves needing anything and we’re comfortable for the duration of the stay.

Very comfortable flat ,very clean and close to Whitstable centre. Owners have prepared flat to a very high standard with very good amenities. TV ,games ,a couple of welcoming gifts ,they went the extra mile which was much appreciated.. Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Whitstable .

The flat is very pleasant and well-equipped, only about seven minutes from the railway station and very handy for the town centre and beach. The hosts always try and make sure everything goes smoothly and are welcoming. The flat is light, spacious and well-laid out. Well-heated and nice bedding.

Very close to town and the beach. Lovely apartment with everything you need and much more, including umbrellas and shopping bags. Nice Gusto coffee machine with lots of pods, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt and pepper, toiletries, postcards, books, games, local info leaflets and candles. Modern furnishings and equipment. The most comfortable bed ever. Great shower. Sheets and towels smelt lovely, as did the whole apartment. Spotlessly clean. Vanessa was friendly and very helpful. Thanks for the prosecco and the best popcorn I've ever eaten! Perfect.

Everything was just perfect for us. May need to provide a good fan in the bedroom during summer months so that windows can remain closed as near a busy road.

The communication with the host was prompt and helpful and set the ton for the stay. Very pleasant, well-equipped flat. The bed and bedding were specially good. The location both for the station and the town centre was very good indeed. Very nice to have wine and beer waiting for m after a long journey.

I found accessing the key safe quite tricky due to being positioned to the side. Needed my torch and glasses but that is because my eyesight is not so sharp, no fault with the keysafe.

Great central location, easy to get to the seafront and the station. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating (they even let us drop ourbags off early). Good size flat with all of the facilities you could want and everything in good condition.

The main road was a little noisy with cars driving by late at night (but hardly a problem - besides, that's what you get for a central location)
