One bedroom apartment Achill Island Pets Allowed

Nice and easy location with a nice view of bay . Lot of provisions in the property, good cooking facilities, all modern machinery in kitchen and nice crockery . Good space around in the apartment. Nice shower and toiletries . Bed was very comfortable. Quick warming heaters.

There was no soft sitting . Dining chairs of hard wood with no cushions and on sofa bed which was highly uncomfortable to sit for even half an hour , nine inches above the ground and no cushioning to watch tv in peace . No tv channels , either players or pay on demand services . No hot water in bathroom sink. Taps have such a short neck that only few cm from the wall making it almost impossible to put hand underneath. It’s better to have a mixer tap. Loads of instructions to follow for a short visit. Bedroom and bathroom doors are sliding with big gaps between planks of the doors. A bathroom environment needs a sealed door not this kind of door. For first day we couldn’t switch on bedroom light as its switch was hidden behind the sliding door . There was only one side table and one table lamp in bedroom which is not enough. No contact from owner side. I think the details about property should be sent well in advance to the arrival date rather leave it until the day.

Evelyn was very responsive and let us check out an hour later. Beautiful view. The apartment has everything you need, would like to come back next time for more than one night. Could stay there for a week!!

We never saw the host. The door didn’t lock and we heard people walking back and forth upstairs. The bed was comfortable and the washroom good but the living/dining area was minimalistic and not very cosy.

Het uitzicht is geweldig mooi. De WiFI deed het goed en was snel genoeg. Je kunt de auto voor de deur parkeren op eigen terrein. Superzachte handdoeken. Keuken die redelijk compleet is uitgerust wat de apparatuur betreft. Het bed heeft een goed matras. Maar ik zou hier niet meer naar teruggaan en kan het niet aanbevelen.

De zit-slaapbank zit beslist niet goed. Wij gebruikten deze ook als slaapbank en dat ligt verschrikkelijk slecht. Kortom, een bank waar je niet lekker op zit en slecht op slaapt. Slapen is sowieso moeilijk, want het appartement is een deel van de woning van de eigenaar en de ruimte erboven is in gebruik als slaapkamers. Door het gestommel tot middernacht kun je niet voor die tijd slapen. En vanaf 7.30 's morgens ook niet meer. In 1 nacht was er ook 's nachts zoveel gestommel van 2.45 uur tot 3.15 uur dat we daar wakker van werden. Het voelt alsof er totaal geen rekening mee wordt gehouden dat er ook nog mensen onder wonen die graag willen slapen. De voegen van de douche stonden open en de voegen waren zwart en zo vies. Toen ik de waterstraal van de douche erop richtte kwam er vies zwart water vanaf met bruine slierten. Het appartement was verder redelijk schoon, maar er hing wel een (vage) hondenlucht. Geen schaar aanwezig en geen fohn. De apparatuur en zaken als verwarming en cooker zijn lastig te bedienen. De handleidingen zijn veel te summier. Als je tv wilt kijken wordt bij programma's die geschikt worden geacht voor de leeftijd 12 jaar en ouder, een pincode gevraagd. Wij hebben geen pincode gekregen en konden alleen programma's zien die voor kinderen of het hele gezin zijn bedoeld.

Had all we needed for our stay.

Felt weird to not meet the host, given they were staying next door and occasionally passed our front window. I also knocked on their front door twice, firstly when we arrived as I hadn’t read the email with arrival instructions sent during the day while we were travelling and secondly when I couldn’t lock the door to the unit, both times unanswered.

Close to great beaches and hill walks

House is on the main road - very hilly and windy - not safe to walk. Keys were left in back door - no initial welcome. Thick dust/dirt on skirting boards and bathroom pedestal. Toilet stopped flushing, tv kept freezing - host helped try solve this. Couldn't sweep kitchen floor as brush was thick with hairs and fluff - very disappointing. Kitchen floor also had a film on it which made it slippy to walk on. Couldn't leave windows open as cats climbed in and wandered house. Apologies, didn't want to write anything bad but don't want the next bookers to go through what we did.

Great location for exploring Achill and surrounding areas. Very well equipped apartment, could come and go as I pleased. Very quiet location.

Now TV was good, but I would have liked to have access to Irish TV channels also (a minor point).

We only had one night here - if we'd had time to add another night it would have been worth it as it's a great location for exploring Achill. The instructions were not as clear as they might be but a helpful neighbour put us right. Once inside, it was everything we needed and the best view ever over breakfast!!

Apartment was ideally located, clean and comfortable. It was a real bonus that we were allowed to bring the dog. Communication with Evelyn was excellent. We had a lovely time. Achill is a special place. We'll be back soon.

Weather wasn't always on our side but it's achill. What can you expect.

The location and it amazing view and the fact that it was dog friendly.

Our recent stay with family surpassed all expectations at every turn. The accommodation provided all the necessities and more, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The beds, perfect for those who prefer a spongy feel, promised restful nights. The TV, boasting a plethora of shows, catered to all tastes, while access to YouTube kept the kid entertained. The proximity to the beach, coupled with the convenience of a dryer, made our vacation truly memorable. The breathtaking view from our window stole the show, offering a picturesque backdrop to our stay.

There were no notable drawbacks to our stay.

Gorgeous setting and cosey place, Evelyn is lovely and very helpful. We were 3 adults, so this was not good accom. A 40 yr old couch and a dodgey camp cot. The bathroom is an ensuite so not ideal walking through the bedroom to access. I don't know why air bnb list this for 3. This place would be perfect for a couple.

Unheimlich nette Gastgeberin die uns bei unserem Problem sehr gut zur Seite gestanden hat. Unsere Koffer sind beim Flug verschwunden- hier konnten wir Wäsche waschen und trocken.

Lieblos, schmutzig, ungepflegt! Geschirr ist teilweise nicht benutzbar. Ofen, Dusche und Toilette extrem ungepflegt. Außerdem ist es sehr hellhörig.

L'appartement sombre, l'eau de l'évier de la cuisine difficile a régler, le manque d'insonorisation avec la chambre des propriétaires au dessus de l'appartement (bruit tard et tôt le matin), pas de signal internet. Nous sommes restés une seule nuit au lieu de 2 réservées.

Absolutely beautiful location, quiet and away frkm the main towns but still a short deive. Achill is a jewel ❤️ The view from the apartment was stunning. The hosts were so nice and helpful.

Evelyn is the most friendly and accommodating host. We had brilliant time! Achill is a true paradise and we were so lucky to get amazing weather too. The house location and type of accommodation is ideal for people who want their own space. It's perfect size, very clever layout and most importantly, it's pet friendly! We hope they will never change this policy so we will be able to visit again. We were made to feel very welcome and fell in love with the owners dog, cats and donkey.

Cosy stay with all amenities on beautiful Achill Island. Great having a dog friendly place to stay and a friendly host who was very helpful when we arrived late after the car broke down! Grace O'Malley's Castle and Achill Distillery are nearby. A drive round the island is beautiful, especially Keem Bay. Thanks.

Great little apartment, very cosy and warm. Bed and mattress very beautiful , so comfy. Evelyn and Colm were great host, dropped us into the village when we couldn't get a taxi , such nice people , highly recommend staying here ,not a bad word to say , they were great and place was great . Very suitable for travelling with dog

Lovely location on Achill Island. A nice clean flat, perfect for our needs. Evelyn and Colm were excellent in communication and welcoming us, even though we didn't actually meet in person as we arrived a little later than expected.

It is perfect for travelling with dogs. The owners are very friendly and the appartment is clean and cosy.

Be aware that the internet is very poor so if you plan to work from there that won’t be possible.

The apartment is very well located, in a quiet area, with amazing views of the coast, but also very near shops and restaurants. It’s got everything you might need and more. You’re made feel welcome and given all the information you need. Achill island is a paradise of natural beauty, with so many photo opportunities! Highly recommend driving around the whole island, not just the touristy spots. Will be back for sure.

Evelyn our host was exceptional nothing was any bother to her, the accommodation was fantastic and had everything you wanted would highly reccommend.

It was in a beautiful spot, with beautiful views great place for walking as we did bring our dog with us

The only thing was it wasn't closed in so we had to put the dog on a lead everytime he neede to pee.apart from that it was perfect

Achill island is beautiful and Evelyn will make you feel at home :)
