Immaculate 4-Bed Private Luxury Lodge near York

Had a lovely stay, very spacious for all of us. Hot tub was great and the space is well furnished.

Beautiful place!! Myself and my family travelled here to celebrate my 30th birthday. The rooms are lovely, they are very spacious with beautiful bathrooms. The open kitchen into sitting room is perfect. It was very peaceful and we felt right at home. We had everything we needed for the 3 days we stayed. Host was super helpful too. There is comments about the front door not locking, which can be a bit of a pain but once you done it once you get the hang of it. There is a few maintenance issues which I think could easily be solved such as one of the bathroom sink storages had spare bathroom tiles in there - little things like that but not big issues at all. We had very little phone signal and there is no wifi. This didn’t bother us as we wanted to come for a break away. It’s got a lovely local town for a wonder and not far away from York centre. We would 100% stay here again. Thank you to the host for being super helpful and giving us a lovely stay.

I liked everything about the accommodation. From the start when I met the owner, she was so helpful. The accommodation is beautiful. Fabulous. We loved the area and the quietness. Pocklington is a lovely town to explore and have a coffee or food. Will be back.

Just perfect.

Lovely place to stay, ideal location to hope on the bus to York and Pocklington. Bus stop was a 20 minute walk from the property. The sat nav did take us away from the actual location so would recommend getting clear instructions for arrival.

Lovely stay for a few nights with family & friends. The children all enjoyed themselves as did the adults. Beautiful area with lovely wildlife, highly recommend!

Our stay was lovely, lovely surroundings. There was a few bits that we were disappointed about, like no aerials for all TV's but the living room, doors were hard to shut and lock the 2nd bedroom was the end the door didn't lock properly and we found that it was unsafe (giving that the other 2 lodges on site had people in them. There was dust, dirt and hair left on the floor, it just seemed like there was a few bits of maintenance that was needed to be done. No WiFi and as the place is in the middle of a field it was hard to get signal. East field Lodges were able to be contacted and they also came out to fix the bathroom as there was a loose pipe under the bath and 1 TV was fixed but the rest didn't have aerials and said it wouldn't be fixed until the day we were leaving. But overall it was a good stay and close to York which was good. Thanks

'Mixed bag'. Location is excellent, peaceful with many amenities and villages nearby. The lodge appears to be perfect and well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay however, on closer inspection the property was very disappointing and failed to deliver. Renting cost is 'in-line' with other large & well equipped properties. As other reviewers have stated, the maintenance really lets this property down, it is not well managed by Travelnest. At this pricepoint we would expect a welcome pack and information book.. Sadly neither.. All external doors are difficult to close, many of the internal doors only open halfway. Oven grill pan has not grill fitting, iron provided without ironing board and all bedroom tv's have no aerial connection. Bathtub for connecting rooms didn't even have the waste pipe connected - dirty water all over the floor when emptying. Bedroom blinds broken and main living area threshold trim 'popped up' after the closing the doors.

Beautiful lodge for our family get together. The lodge was well equipped for everything and the hot tub and log burner were great. There are a few maintenance issues which need to be resolved for a 5* review.

clean comfortable and quiet ill stay again

Lovely place in a beautiful field with pond and horses. The lodge was bigger than expected and looked amazing. However there are a few snags that others have mentioned which still need fixing like the bathroom doors not closing and handles falling off. The main issue for us was the hot tub. This was not hot enough to use on first night and was not checked at all on our 3 night stay. The host was friendly and responsive and came on request to put in more chemicals however, to me a hot tub needs regular daily maintenance regardless of the length of stay. This is the host responsibility to ensure it is clean and safe, not the guests. Log burner was lovely but the TV would not work as had no signal, lots of DVD’s to choose from however. The 2 baths are also lovely and huge

We had a wonderful stay. The pictures do not do it justice. It is huge. Our host was a available if anything arose too. We highly recommend and we will be back. :)

There were a few issues like no Wi-Fi the kitchen drawers could be organised a little better and there were a few loose fittings that need a little tightening small things but need looking at.

Great stay and very attentive host. No facilities for recycling, if it rains then the area will flood a little on the driveway. few issues with the property, battery required in the fire alarm - sorted straight away. Doors wouldnt lock in the proprty - tap used to cover the gaps which let air in. Christmas tree and decorations and plenty of kitchen bits to make the trip!

Great location. The place was very lovely and few things that needed sorting but made the host aware. But overall we had a great time there and anything that needed attention was done immediately. Would highly recommend staying.

Lodge was spacious, clean and looked exactly like the photos. 2 of our party are in various trades so were quick to spot certain finishing touches that could have been done better. Some pointers like having the doors properly levelled so they close and lock easily (just for longevity of the lodges when they've been so beautifully decorated) Some do let draughts in which resulted in some chilly mornings until we got the log burner going. Plenty of wood was available for this. Hot tub was clean and ready for our arrival, decking goes all around and can be secured with 2 gates which was great for us having 2 toddlers with us. We did suffer with quite bad weather on our 2nd night which resulted in us losing heating and hot water for our final night. Host was quick to respond but this could not be resolved before we left the following morning. The lodge has so much potential and we've all said we would love to stay again, there's just some minor tweaks which would make it perfect.

Such a great set up for the family and the dogs. We had plenty of space to exercise the dogs and it was great to have the hottub space too. A great stay and I would fully recommend.

The lodge was beautiful, clean and had everything you needed for a wonderful stay. Lodge is exactly as advertised and is decorated to a high standard.

The lodge didn’t have Wi-Fi which we were aware of and took portable Wi-Fi with us.

What a beautiful place. It was absolutey perfect in every room and very clean throughout. We all agreed beds really comfy. Lots of space indoor and the decking went around the property with lots of outdoor seating areas and the hot tub was amazing. Very tranquill place to unwind. We met Christine who was very welcoming. We had a query during our stay and Christine instantly responded. We really did not want to leave and will definitely return. Thank you Christine from all the family.

Hot tub was not ready

Large space with stunning views - Victoria was lovely to chat with. Unfortunately a few of the amenities were broken/not the cleanest when we arrived! Other than that a lovely place to stay.

Beautiful cabin and location, hot tub was definitely a lovely plus to our stay. Clean, nicely furnished with most facilities well stocked, such as kitchen equipment, cutlery, pans, cleaning materials.

Lack of wi-fi was a suprise, but that could have been because of the rural location. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel was not available in the bathrooms, which is not what I expect from a place somewhat far away from the closest shops.

The lodge was beautiful inside and out loved all the rooms inside and the outdoor decking and hot tub.

The only fault we had was the televisions only had 1 working television in the far bedroom which only worked sometimes and because the weather was awful would of been nice to watch but I understand the signal may not be good because of where it’s situated

Fantastic stay, the lodge was in beautiful surroundings, very private and safe for the children to play out. The Lodge was immaculate and had been beautifully decorated. Host was easy to communicate with and happy to help when ever we asked. Highly recommend.

Great place, excellent value for money, would definitely visit again. Host was good and it was easy to resolve any issues. Worth noting there is no wifi at the property as we totally missed this, but it is listed as having no wifi. Comments for the host, some written check out instructions would be handy (where bins are, recycling, what needs to be done on check out etc.) and was missing some crockery (not enough for 8 people). Overall very good and would recommend.

we loved how cosy the lodge was with the fire burning. the facilities were good. beds were comfy (well ours was we stayed in the master room). the location was great with the supermarket near by.

lacked some general maintenance. fridge door handle fell off (was already hanging on when we arrived), the doors leading to the hot tub had dropped so needed slamming to shut and they didn’t lock. we had to clean the fire out before use. could of done with heating on abit earlier. we did try to change it but struggled and was unsuccessful. could of done with more mugs, glasses, plates ect. sofa not very comfy

Really enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful setting, beautiful spacious lodge; hot tub was great, as was the log fire - January must haves! Ideal for a spot of R&R with the family or friends.
