Good location and within walking distance of town

The property was clean and kitchen and bedrooms were a good size. The owner kindly gave us two car park passes and was helpful in the check in process.

The property is in a very worn state and nothing like the photos we saw online. The sofas were very narrow and not comfortable to sit on for any length of time and the living room was much smaller than shown in the images. The bathroom is incredibly small, this property should not be rented to more than 2-3 people given the size of it (toilet also not separate so not ideal for families with young children).

The automatic air fresheners not only smell Very strong they are noisy in the evenings! Not great if you suffer from allergies! One in the bathroom and kitchen maybe but not on every room! Nauseating !

Plenty of beds, nice touch with the coffee and crisps (although out of date). The fans were amazing and cooled the rooms down after a very warm day. The kitchen was very spacious and the house overall was very clean

The blinds in the bottom floor bedroom weren't blackout so my daughter struggled to get to sleep and was woken early by the light. Not enough seating at the dining table so we had to eat off our knees.

Place was as described, we only stayed the one night and it was ok . Decor finishing needs work as it was a bit sloppy in the finishing touches. But all amenities were clean and nearly new . Still worth the money if you like to be near the towns night life and restaurants etc . Additional charge of £150 for cleaning does seem excessive and may put some people off 🤔

Property was easy to access both by car and public transport.

The property was advertised for 8 people but it was not provisioned for 8 people both in terms of physical space and facilities. For example only 2 teaspoons provided and the sofas in the pictures were no longer in the property. The "soft" seats provided only sat 4 people as did the dining table. There was only 1 bathrook as well. Many of the kitchen items were dirty and the property was generally in disrepair (lots of peeling paintwork, some of the rooms smelled of damp). The front and back gardens had rubbish in them and the back garden looked like it had been fly tipped. The listing said it had free parking but in reality this was one free permit for 1 car only which was unrealistic for an 8 person property. The permit was for a residential street were a space was not guaranteed. The property was very poor value for money.

Fairly basic accommodation - did the job but pretty expensive for what it is. With only one bathroom, would be a bit of a challenge for 8 people. Beds not overly comfortable and some of the doors were a struggle to open because of the carpet. Was clean and parking permit was useful.

This is mostly advertised as a haven for contractors which is what it is. More than adequate for an overnight stay. The beds were comfortable, the property was clean, and it’s easy to walk to from Chelmsford centre. I would suggest that coat hooks would be useful, as we had nowhere to hang 6 wet coats. If you’re looking for somewhere central to stay for a night then this property is fine! A bit sparse but more than adequate.

Only 1 bathroom 😟

The bedrooms were good sizes, comfortable pillows, mattresses very firm. The house needs some TLC, and feels a little run down. Only one wine glass in the kitchen, and seems to be missing some cutlery. The living room furniture feels like a waiting room - not very comfortable at all. The host was very responsive, and when we arrived and noticed that the hand soap in the bathroom was empty, a bag was delivered to the front door within an hour, and included more than what we’d requested, including two bottles of wine! Location is close to the town centre and appreciated being able to walk to train station.

Lots of space, and good beds! Great location for wedding nearby.

Very clean, comfortable beds and nice touches like coffee machine and welcome pack of snacks. Good comms from the host. But overall the house needs a refurb and was not a nice place to stay. I passed this on directly to the host and they encouraged me to provide the feedback here.

Great location for what we needed. 4 adults and a child (age 7) it was perfect. Great to have the keys being able to be obtained from the lock box. So clean. Was grateful for the parking permit as elderly relatives did not have far to walk.

Bathroom is small but lovely. As a family we could have done with another toilet facility for the number of people staying. This was our only comment and it should not be a negative point for the property.

This house was very convenient for walking to the city centre. Beds were comfortable and linen very clean. It is perfectly functional and looks as though improvements are being made. The garden could be made a lot nicer than at present.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the property while attending a family wedding. Nice clean property with good kitchen . We felt that an additional bathroom would have been suitable for a place that sleeps 8 but we all managed well. Our host was communicative and responsive when needed and left us extra coffee and condiments to use. Would definitely recommend the property and come back.

House has new carpets which are immaculately clean, but I couldn’t close my bedroom door as it needs trimming. Back yard is in a very sorry state with only 2 chairs. Everything worked fine in the house with great coffee machine and big TV. Beds all really firm and comfortable.

Owner was lovely, had to ring her late at night to get a code and although we woke her up she was still lovely. Just a walk away from town. Very clean. Had all necessary amenities.

The property needs updating. The paint work is flaking. The front and back gardens need updating. Hard to manage one bathroom with 4 bedrooms in the property. One room smelled of cigarette smoke. One positive was that the managment dealt with a parking charge on the main road.

The communal space was not big enough for 7 people to sit comfortably as the living space down stairs has been used for the 4th bedroom. The front and back garden need attention as settee dumped in back garden and rubbish in front garden
