3 Bed New Lodge - 7 Lakes Country Park DN17

No breakfast as it was self catering. Nice tranquil area. Plenty ducks and rabbits. Comfortable caravan with good meal facilities and pub nearby.

Traveled for 14hrs to get there booked the more expensive option on the site (£153 per night x 4 nights for 1 person) as it looked comfortable and cosy but was far from it.. on arrival was cold and smelt damp, don’t think it had been used for a while, would have thought someone have warmed up before arriving, Boiler not working for first night no central heating and no hot water, bed room cold and bedding damp, slept on floor in front room..WiFi not working and no instructions for tv so struggle to get working also! Limited cooking utensils/ pans to cook food!!

Generally a lovely, modern look caravan, the main sitting area very tidy and homely and a sweet place to stay, just a few things that would definitely need addressing. 1) In the host’s instructions it said to call security for them to lift the barrier to allow you to drive on to the site. The security worker made it clear that this was not usually allowed. Not a pleasant welcome. This has obviously been an issue previously as we saw it in a review and it’s surprising that it hasn't been resolved. 2) The whole caravan was lovely and tidy and clearly had been cleaned but a few things neglected: 4 mugs severely stained and need replacing, other 3 were dirty but just needed washing up properly, which we did; the cutlery tray very dirty; the bathroom was clean but around the bottom of the tap was very grimy. 3) We were unable to park outside the caravan as the driveway was too steep, scraping the bottom of the car. 4) No wine bottle opener. 5) One single bed had lots of black hairs on.

Lovely caravan, on a great site. The price was amazing for our stay, and the location was great and very peaceful. The site itself had beautiful scenery, very friendly people who live / stay on site regularly. The site also has a pub, ice cream parlour and restaurant which were all lovely. There was lots of walking we could do. The hosts have a lovely caravan and we would love to stay again.

Great location with a view of the lake . Great clubhouse on site , could not understand the bad reviews. We had 3 great meals at the clubhouse and the staff so friendly.

Not quite what we were expecting. The advert said towels were included how we the instruction email we received said we had to bring our own towels. The majority of the caravans on the site were lived in so the site was not very welcoming to “strangers”. The instruction email said to ask the security for directions but they said this was not there job although did show us where it was. We would never have found the caravan without him as there was no map. There was only 1 loo roll and 2 sheets of kitchen roll.

Really helpful host. Quick to respond and no issues at all.

Lovely quiet site, nice lake view but arrive in daylight as signposting on site is poor, difficult to find in the dark, several people we met got lost, not fault of owner. On site restaurant stunning, delicious food, friendly staff, fast service, reasonably priced and great views over the lake, also an area where dogs allowed, site very clean/well maintained

Quiet location and very relaxing. Accommodation was lovely. Very clean and comfortable.

A small coffee table in the lounge area would be useful.

It was very peaceful and quiet, and the caravan was clean and tidy, it's great that there's a lovely walk around the lakes.
