Please read reviews.. awful sofa bed ( for £140)??

When we first opened the door, we thought wow this is lovely. It looked clean and comfortable and a nice touch also the cookies that were left for us to enjoy, l’m sure if you stayed in the summer the garden area which does look over Brooklands track and it’s very well laid ,would be a delight but not in winter and I think should reflect the price BUT..back to the cabin.

There was no mention of a sofa bed. It was the most uncomfortable sleep I thiink I have ever endured. I ended up getting out of bed and trying to sleep on the sofa with a cover over me. but only room for one, which wasn’t much better. After the long drive from Derbyshire and a full day, it was a terrible night . Also receiving messages 2 of telling us to turn the lights off on leaving the property . There was an outside light outside this cabin which really should be left on at all times so paying customers can see their way in the dark.. but from a very steep driveway through a gate and then into the dark garden. and back out again, but because of the messages we felt we had to use our torch.. we paid enough but felt we were being harassed. We never did meet the lady of the property. ALSO the bathroom had two mats on the floor which were very wet.. and later discovered there was a leak coming from under the unit where the sink was.. and that was after picking up the mats and skidding in the next time we went to use the bathroom. It has nowhere to wash up any plates, cups, etc except in the bathroom sink!! And not even a waste paper basket to put used teabags or coffee wrappers in.( It did have a medium size one in the bathroom but feel there should have two.) I think for £140 you can do much better in the area and at least have a decent bed to sleep in.

A comfortable and enjoyable stay when attending a conference. Highly recommended.

There was no breakfast included, so I didn't expect one. The location was in a quiet and green area, 15 minutes walk to Brooklands Museum and 25 minutes walk to Weybridge train station. The place is very cosy, tidy and spacious for a couple of people.

Honestly, there is nothing to dislike or improve. Everything is just fine or even better than expected.

Disappointing

The property was incredibly clean and the host was very accommodating

Firstly it was not a cottage so please repost as what it is. It doesn’t have a bed just an uncomfortable double sofa bed. It also doesn’t have an oven or a kitchen as described

Location was good. Beds were comfortable

Not a single knife in the kitchen. Picture shows BBQ but no BBQ allowed. Items being stored in the cupboard spaces. Badly organised. Host was hovering outside the door at night.

We really enjoyed the hospitality of the landlady, Xanthe and her welcoming, warm manner! We spent our mornings and evenings in a beautiful garden enjoying the tranquility of the surrounding area. The cottage was very clean and had all the facilities.

A peaceful suburban apartment

It was very peaceful and spacious with a private outdoor space to sit out in. The bathroom is nice and bright with a good shower. The owner was really helpful in giving suggestions for places to visit and to eat, and it was nice of her to provide cookies and some really beautiful flowers.

By no stretch of the imagination is this a cottage - it's a perfectly nice modern extension into the garden of a suburban semi. It really needs a small kitchen with a sink and hob. As it is there is nowhere to prepare food or to wash up if you have anything to eat. The bed is a sofa bed which isn't that comfy.

Had a great overnight stay here at the cottage, was really close to the main part of Weybridge!

The cottage was really cosy, a great size and spot on for what we needed for our trip. Perfect size, has a lovely outdoor area and is easy to get to whether you're travelling by train or car.

Does what it says on the tin

Cottage was immaculately clean and pretty newly fitted out? V peaceful and secluded. Didn't meet host but electronic and telephone contact was good and she was responsive and helpful.

Not the most glamourous of neighbourhoods but did the job perfectly for what I was looking for

Adequate but mis-leading

Quiet, nice towel.

Whilst the host is clearly working hard to make this something special it is quite badly misdescribed in the advert. It is not a beautiful cottage. It is a well appointed glorified mobile home in the back garden of a small semi detached house in a quiet, sub urban location. Where it says “double bed” it is actually a double sofa bed. The curtains are paper thin and do not keep out the light And whilst it claims to have hob and oven there is no hob and no oven and there is nowhere to do any washing up. The parking is also highly compromised for anything other than a small car. The admin side was also very torturous. I received eight emails from booking.com and had to have protracted communications with the host about check in times and to try to understand what was actually available as I was seeking genuine self-catering which this is not. Overall, I felt rather misled and if I hadn’t paid upfront, I wouldn’t have stayed.

Great cottage, great location

Location excellent. Perfect for visiting brooklands. 10 min walk to train station to get train to central London (takes 30 mins). Cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Sofa bed surprisingly comfortable. Lovely peaceful setting. Host Xanthe is amazing, couldn't do more for you to make sure we had a great stay.

Parking available but the space is quite tight. Managed to get our small SUV in fine though.

The host was so lovely. Cottage was lovely and so comfortable! Felt very safe and secure (especially as a solo woman) and the property was clean and spacious. Shower lovely and hot and good water pressure! In a nice quiet part of Weybridge and close to the station.

I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing experience Xanthe!!

It’s very serene and inviting. A lovely quaint setting. I forgot my wine and the host generously offered me a lovely bottle of Red. It is secluded and there is access to your own little garden which is very well kept ,big open living and dining and a lovely bed.

There’s nothing not to like . Everything was provided. Very clean and and very large space.

Not a pleasant stay, My 80 year old mum had to sleep in the lounge as Sleeper Couch was too high

Owner was very nice

Bed was advertised as a Double Bed - it is actually a Sleep Couch (I would never have booked it if I had known this) !!! No Kitchen facilities - you have to wash up in the bathroom sink (take your own washing up liquid as none were provided) Basic crockery, cutlery & cups No Bath only Shower No Lake view as was originally advertised (this has since been taken down)
