Enjoyable but no direct access to beach

We enjoyed our stay very much but the beach is not easily accessible with children. It's on a cliff with very steep steps as access. The park the property is on is very quiet with a small playpark, nice restaurant which was part of the Parks Hotel, small arcade and indoor swimming pool (residents only till 11am, closes at 5). Shop in village a short walk away. The property had plenty of space for us (2adults+2children) loads of games provided and stuffed toys in bunkbed room. My grandsons particularly liked the space themed cushions. There's beds for 8 to sleep but it would be a squeeze on the kitchen/bathroom facilities. There was alot of cutlery and crockery, soap, wash up liquid but only 1 teatowel. Not enough towels either, 2 hand and bath towels 1 set in each double bedroom. 1 hand towel in bunk room and 1 in bathroom. I did request more but got no reply. It could have been cleaner, cobwebs and "stuff" under the sofa cushions and on the floor. (You find you look in these places when toy cars go missing!) The windows had safety catches to restrict opening but once opened the kid's window wouldn't shut again. I messaged about it but again no reply. We couldn't get any hot water on arrival and ended up phoning site maintenance- no response, then the website phone number who was able to get instructions to us. We did eventually find a handwritten piece of paper with location of water switch and WiFi password in a drawer, would be better in view on arrival.

The location. We were visiting family.

The absolute filth and muck in the villa. It is so run down. With mould, dust, food, hair and stains on most surfaces. The owner is in complete denial. I wouldn't recommend if you care about your health and being in a clean environment. Several people over a couple of years have complained about the dirt yet it isn't being rectified. And the kicker is every booking pays a £50 cleaning fee..... for what exactly? Unfortunately I can only select 4 photos but there are many more

great little break away from home

very clean and well stocked with all the little things, like salt n pepper etc in kitchen. lots of games and puzzles for both adults and children. beds comfy and plenty of room. very easy access and free parking. the pool on site was excellent and the bar was nice too. excellent value for money.

the children's playground more suitable for 4-5 years plus, however that did not stop our 3yr old from having fun.

Disappointing

Location

Didn’t have any bedding for the cot. The cot was covered in cobwebs and we weren’t told to bring our own bedding. We also had one person sleeping in the bed downstairs but no bedding was provided and when I asked we got told that this bed was only for someone with mobility issues but again we weren’t told this. The shower didn’t drain properly and the room where my young children were sleeping had no heater and the room was 15 degrees overnight. We used the baking trays but they were horrible and sticky and were not clean. The internet also wasn’t working. I messaged the person given in my welcome message on a number of these items with very late responses and some queries had no response. Poor service

This is the worst airbnb I have ever stayed in. The host did not send my arrival instructions. I had to call to get them. Advertised as having wifi, but it was out of order. According to comments left in the guest book, the wifi had been out for at least a month. Carpet is badly stained and a blanket in the cabinet had, what looked like, feces smeared on it. The dish drying rack was covered in rust. Also there were cameras in the apartment. They were covered with a plastic bag , but it did leave me feeling quite uncomfortable. I have never left an airbnb early or left a bad review, but this was really terrible.

Great spot, a little quiet, nice stay

Location was good. Right by the pool and restaurant. Sight is also close to another good pub.

The apartment could do with a good deep clean. With young children and toys being dropped, we soon noticed a lot of dirt/dust/cobwebs under and around furniture. The hot water was also not explained very well, so it took us a day or so to figure out how to get hot water downstairs, but once we understood it, we had hot water at all times. The WiFi also didn't work, not that we really cared. We just popped to the pub to use the Internet there if we needed it. We were also a little disappointed to find the pub only had entertainment on on a Saturday evening. All other nights were very quiet.

Nice location needs updating

Excellent location, next to the pool and restaurant/ bar. Bus stop right outside to Lowestoft or Great Yarmouth.

The place needs a deep clean and downstairs is tatty. Also sleeps 6 but there is not enough room for 6 ppl in the badly arranged living room, with and enormous bed in the room and a tiny sofa. The upstairs loo is so small your knees hit the door!!

Perfect location, property needs some attention

Location to pool and restaurant

Not very clean No hot water downstairs so couldn’t use bathroom Only very small shower cubicle in bedroom (separate toilet on landing with no sink) for 6 of us to share. Lounge/dining area very cramped due to large bed

Fab place to stay. Literally the only downside was the poor wifi, otherwise is a perfect holiday home

Lovely property, well equipped, comfortable.

WiFi didn’t work at all and barely any phone signal.

Disgustingly dirty property, broken furniture and toilet seats! Avoid at all costs

Location was good and on site facilities were good, everything else was terrible

Villa was filthy dirty, both toilet seats were broken, no hot water, wasn’t provided a key code to be able to access the property so stood around for an hour with two disabled children in the rain before we could even get inside. There wasn’t a quilt for the 6th person sleeping downstairs on the single bed, heating didn’t work, dirty oven trays left in the oven, towels were from ikea bought back in 2015 which were virtually thread bare! Dining chair leg was broken, table top was not fixed to the bottom properly. Would never stay here again, the host should be ashamed of themselves! You should be looking at giving my family a partial refund for this stay, the water also tasted disgusting so in my opinion this was not accommodation fit to stay in, let alone bring children to! The previous guests had also written all of these things in the comments book going back over the last two years which tells me the host is never going to repair these issues! They do not care!

Great place to stay

We stayed at 63, a family of five. Mohammed the owner responded promptly to our emails/questions, and made a great accommodation/stay even better for us. Very good villa, literally next to the pool and the restaurant and the play area, and with good sea views. What's not to like? We even met friendly locals in the nearby pub, and the village shop owner 50 yards away was also very nice. In terms of location, Pleasurewood hills is a 5 minute drive, Great Yarmouth with Sea Life and Pleasure Beach 15 minutes away! Southwold Pier was also not too far away. All good. Thanks for accommodating us!

The villa was nice, plenty of room and a bonus to be dog friendly. Pub over the road was really good also.

Disappointed the pool was closed but we're given an extra night free, which was really appreciated.

We had a lovely holiday with our three girls!

Cosy, warm, everything you need in the chalet. Beautiful sea view and also right next to the pool and the bar. Our children loved the little arcade and the park. A special Halloween night at the bar on the Saturday with a live singer, lots of fun and great atmosphere. only 10 minutes drive to Pleasurewood Hills, half an hour to Africa Alive. A big Tesco and Harvester nearby.

Cute and cosy place, the host responded quickly and answered all our questions. He was extremely helpful. It was a self check in with the key in a lock box which is very convenient. We ended up arriving early and we were able to check in before the check in time. It was a great weekend away, we would stay again :)
