Cosy barn conversion in the Mournes

Louise and Geoff's place suited us fine : friendly hosts, clean, comfortable, delightful, rural setting, well equipped, spacious and good value. The local field walls made of huge granite blocks and the nearby Mourne Mountains are of special interest. All in all, a great base for this lovely part of Northern Ireland.

It was absolutely beautiful the scenery the barn and for it to be close to the house you don't hear anything it's just so peaceful and relaxing and surrounded by such beauty

Fantastic facilities, great kitchen and living area, nice, stove with fuel, comfortable and spotless bathroom and bedroom.

I think that if the host met you and explained certain aspects of the place and spoke with the guests it would be alot more beneficial to both parties and not so informal

Beautiful peaceful location, spotless property, great heating, lovely stove, had all the essentials, looks nicer in person than the pics show. Welcome gift was a nice touch. Firestick on the TV had great choice of programming.

The bathroom doesn't have a lightswitch just a sensor and the light stays on for 30 mins after someone leaves which was annoying when going to the bathroom in the night. Also the lighting was extremely bright (minor issue :) ) The only other issue we had was the bed. the matress is very soft and the metal bedframe is very noisy even when turning over in the night. Kept waking us up.

Cosy Barn surrounded by scenic and beathtaking views that made our trip special. The accommodation was incredibly comfortably,well equipped and thoughtfully designed to meet every need.

W pełni wyposażona kuchnia. Świeżo wyremontowana łazienka z kompletem ręczników i podstawowymi kosmetykami. Sprawnie regulowane ogrzewanie - na dworze było już dość zimno, a w mieszkaniu bardzo przyjemnie. Dostępny komplet udogodnień - w tym suszarka do włosów, szybkie WiFi, czy kominek i nieco drewna (ostatecznie nie korzystaliśmy, ale była taka możliwość). Lokalizacja w prawdzie na terenie prywatnym poza opisem google mapy, ale gospodarze podali szczegółowy i bezproblemowy opis dojazdu.

Dziwny patent z klamką, żeby zamknąć drzwi na klucz - ale może to typowe dla tego regionu świata.... Pokój był rezerwowany dla 4 osób dorosłych, ale niestety były tylko 2 kołdry (nie 4). Poza tym brak uwag ;-)

The building and stay was excellent like home form home, the host and their family were great and helped with every aspect of our stay. I would recommend this stay to anyone who is looking peace an quiet nestled away in the mountainside.

Ideal location for walking The Mournes and visiting Silent Valley. Fantastic part of the county with lovely views. Host family are very pleasant.

The bed was very noisy when turning over in bed. I think it was due to it being a metal frame. Unfortunately we didn't receive a message with the check in instructions.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The hosts are naturally friendly, helpful people; but not interfering. There is everything you could want in the accommodation, and some extra like the wonderful wheaten bread and jam. The location for walking the Mournes is excellent.

I should have checked my directions better, my mistake.. Thankfully, the host was looking out for us and sent an exact map location - before we even asked. 😀
