Very well equipped, comfortable and cosy cottage which is extremely dog friendly. Lovely countryside location but just a short trip to the shops/restaurants and scenic locations etc

Small thing...there is no easy access to a plug socket in the bedroom for a hairdryer so I had to dry my hair without a mirror in the living room.

Location was lovely, off the main road but very close to towns and shops. It was easy to find with the help of google maps (though ignore it when it tells you to continue past the sign for Rose cottage!). Access to the cottage was easy and I received a warm welcome on arrival. The cottage was warm and toasty (I was staying in Oct) on arrival. For those who want to stay in and chill, there is good TV (with Netflix) and comfortable sofa.

Honestly everything was fine for my needs. The bed mattress is quite firm which may not be to everyones comfort but everyone is different. There are basic kitchen supplies for home catering - I mostly used the microwave and kettle.

No breakfast was provided. The location was perfect for us and our little dog, who played with the caretaker's 2 dogs and enjoyed meeting the horses. Lots of easy walks in the country lanes.

The bed was very low and not very comfy. The pillows weren't good either. Everything else was excellent.

The accommodation was beautifully presented and had everything we needed for our relaxing stay. Trevor was the perfect host and met us on our arrival. Great location and central to plenty of local attractions.

Really handy for beaches, Belfast and some lovely countryside. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed.

The blinds didn't block all of the light. Not a big deal, but it did mean waking up earlier than usual.

Quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed after a long journey.

The property was perfect for us. Despite arriving at nearly midnight we received a warm welcome from Trevor as soon as we pulled up. The property was warm and comfortable with loads of room for the two of us and our dog.

We had a great stay at Rose Cottage. Trevor is such a friendly and welcoming host. We were able to spend time looking at the horses in the yard and the place has such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere we felt right at home. The Cottage is as described but a huge bonus was the shower. Spacious, powerful and hot, we were squeaky clean. Very welcome after the wet weather walks. We can happily recommend Rose Cottage to friends and family. It's a great Cottage in a wonderful spot. Thank you Trevor for your hospitality, we had a really lovely time and it was the most relaxed that we've seen our cat so it gets paws up from him!

Very comfortable cottage, well finished and very clean.

Would have loved for their to have been milk in the fridge on arrival. Just meant we had to go back to the shops to get one.

a great Airbnb, ticked all the boxes. Trevor was there to meet us, even though we were delayed 4 hours to nearly midnight. A beautiful setting on the farm. Would highly recommend. less than 10 minutes to the beach, 20 minutes from the City Airport and 25 from Belfast. Will be back

Perfect stay with our English bulldog Bertie! So cosy, comfortable and the most peaceful stay. Trevor was a gem, gave us our space but also helpful if we needed him! Thanks for a great break!

Trevor is very pleasant and friendly, very welcoming. The lodge is really great, comfortable bed, lovely decor and lovely bathroom. Great quiet location.

my only criticism would be there needs to be curtains in the bedroom as it’s extremely bright in the mornings. The washing machine had mould around the door seal as well.

Away from it all but still close to the town. Perfect for a couple and the facilitys are perfect. Hospitality is first class. Highly recommend

Trevor is an excellent and welcoming host. The cottage accommodation is set within a beautiful farmhouse. The accommodation itself is very comfortable. The entrance hallway is a practical utility space to hang coats and leave shoes etc. We appreciated the sofas in the main sitting area to put our feet up in the evenings. Kitchen is well kitted out. A gorgeous bathroom gives a really modern feel to the property. The bedroom was really comfortable with good wardrobe and drawer space. Heating system was excellent and we were very cosy. The Wi-Fi was good as one of our party needed to stay connected for work related stuff. Highly recommend this beautiful place to stay.

Trevor's place was spotless, Trevor was a great host, on hand if needed but left me to my stay. Trevor is an excellent communicator and talked me in as I got a little lost in the dark! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend - Tom

Can't fault anything at all apart from the weather which to be fair even enhanced the stay and made it more cosy.

One of the nicest settings you could ask for and so peaceful. Like others have said the photographs don’t do it justice. We have friends locally and will certainly remember here for next time!

The location was absolutely beautiful, lovely and quiet. The cottage itself was absolutely amazing so clean and cosy we felt right at home. Trevor the owner was lovely and made our stay so comfortable and was always around to help if anything was needed. Would highly recommend to stay here and we will definitely be back again to stay.

Quiet location, compact but mostly comfortable accommodation

Washing machine spinning was horrendously noisy, bed not very comfortable- I went out and bought a memory foam mattress topper. Owners dogs were a bit intimidating

A perfect spot whether you want a quiet chilled break or need a spot to call home while you go lookin for good food and entertainment. Only a short walk, taxi or drive from coast country or city. Really lovely spot and great host

Shirley and Trevor were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location is very pleasant with a beautiful view of the countryside, lovely garden with horses and two adorable dogs. Also very close to town centre, beach and Belfast. Cottage was immaculate, with great facilities and everything we needed.

This is a comfortable, warm and welcoming property. It is quiet, well located to get into Donaghadee for the restaurants and coffee shops. Ideal for a relaxing break. The host was welcoming and available if needed. There was a lovely welcome pack which meant we didn't need to visit the shop for supper and next mornings' breakfast, I would recommend this property for two people.

What a beautiful little spot with 2 great hosts living next door. Hard to leave as the place is so comfortable and relaxing. Close to Bangor and other big towns but we stayed as we planned a game of thrones tour and this location was excellent as it was more or less centre of all the locations. Will definitely be returning and I have already been recommending here to family and friends.
