Comfy clean place in a great location, easy to find and convenient to park outside with a friendly host too. Close to 2 pubs/restaurants and the local shop. Easy walks from the doorstep e.g Monsal Dale, Monsal Trail, Thornbridge, Bakewell etc. Short drive to other locations in the peaks too. Recommended

Corner cottage is a lovely old cottage and a great place to stay in Ashford in the Water. The rooms are all a good size and the cottage was well equipped. Christmas decorations were a bonus. The host Mark was very helpful with helpful advice beforehand, good communication and immediately resolving any minor issue. Ashford in the Water is an attractive village - we enjoyed the sheepwash bridge, Ashford Arms and walk to Bakewell.

We had a great stay at Corner Cottage in Ashford-in-the-water. The place was exactly described. I was a bit apprehensive that the house would smell mouldy as it is an old property but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived - the house smells fresh and clean. The house has all the modern amenities/comfort that you need. It was easy to find, plenty of things to do around the area. Two pubs within 3-minute walk from the door. The area is very quiet. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. One thing I think can be improved is the check in process. It would be better if they have it written with pictures so easier to find where the key is, or why not have a master lock with number lock to safely keep the keys? Overall, it was great!

Explore nature and come back to a nice cosy cottage

Everything was perfect, the cottage itself is lovely. There is plenty of space, it’s cosy and has everything you need. The hosts were brilliant full of local knowledge. The area itself is beautiful and very quiet. The local pubs serve very good food. Lots of stunning walks accessible from the cottage.
