Absolutely great place to stay for us for a jumping off point for some local and further afield walks. The little touches and attention to detail were lovely! We would definitely come back

Really great place, definitely best to drive if you want to go to Buchlyvie as the A road is very busy but the bothy itself is brilliant!

Our second stay here, we love the log burner and cosy feel of the bothy.

The Bothy is a lovely living space. I felt right at home. Garden is lovely and my dogs could have a little run around safely as fenced in. Kitchen well equipped. Everything by was spotlessly clean and the host was very responsive and flexible with my many questions.

Out in countryside but not too far from amenities Loved the cottage as it had everything you needed although could have a floor brush rather than small dustpan/brush set. Loved mezzanine but defo not for anyone with mobility issues. We brought own supplies such as coffee etc but this was all within the cottage. Loved the bottle of prosecco 😊 great wee break for relaxation

Super cosy and peaceful place to stay. In great proximity to many different places worth visiting! The log burner was perfect after an October day out seeing the local area!

We had everything we needed in the bothy, looked small from the outside but big inside

I couldn't go upstairs to the bed as it was higher up than it looked on photos, so I slept on the sofa bed. Unfortunately my husband couldn't sleep on the sofa bed as he was very uncomfortable so he slept in the bed.

Really enjoyed our couple of nights staying here. Could of stayed for longer ! Loved all the extra touches that made you feel right at home. Cleaned to a high standard, wood provided for fire, and a bottle of bubbly too ! A great base to further explore Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and the surrounding area

Fantastic stay at the Private Cottage Bothy. Lovely cosy Bothy which is well equipped with all your needs both in the kitchen and bathroom. We had a lovely two day stay whilst attending a friends wedding and hope to be able to return to explore the Glen and enjoy the Bothy more another trip.

Klein maar comfortabel huisje waar je prima een paar dagen kunt vertoeven. Minpuntje is dat je niet vanuit het huisje kan wandelen omdat er een erg drukke weg langsloopt waar hard wordt gereden.

The Bothy is a small but well equipped place. Clean and comfortable. It’s a unique stay, in a beautiful area. The mezzanine sleeping area is very comfortable and though it’s high, the steps are wide and secure. Lovely private garden area with seating which I wish the weather had allowed us to use! Fabulous welcome box which was much appreciated!

Nice cozy stay, easy to find and clear communication. Fireplace was lovely, location of the bothy is near a busy road but you don't hear or see it inside.

Very pretty setting and the bothy was just as described. Everything thought of and more besides. Didn't need to light the burner but would imagine it would be fantastic in the autumn/winter.

Everything about the bothy is absolutely brilliant, from location to accessibility not to mention the cleanliness This is all nothing compared to the simplistic, quirky and beautiful decorated interior with a beautiful log burner fire which we enjoyed and all materials provided and arranged ready for our arrival Couldn’t recommend this place enough although hope that doesn’t come back to bite us when we look to rebook!!

A fantastic location from which to explore Loch Lomond, the place felt bigger inside than I expected and was perfect for myself, my husband and the dog! Worked perfectly for us, we'd stay again if we were in the area!

The Bothy was a comfortable romantic getaway. It was perfect!! The host Kim sent excellent communication including directions. There was some treats awaiting us in the fridge for our arrival and plenty logs and kindling for the burner. The spot was quiet and tranquil, we could not have wished for a more perfect bolt hole to get away from the hustle for a couple of nights …highly recommended!!

Een heel schattig huis , met alle voorzieningen , wel fit zijn om trap naar de slaapkamer te kunnen beklimmen ; overigens heerlijk bed hoor ; gezellig tuintje ook . Helaas wel aan een drukke weg gelegen, dus lopen naar Buchlyvie, slechts 1km verderop was lastig , zeker met hond aan de lijn , dus met de auto gedaan ; ging ook prima We hebben 2 hele fijne dagen gehad , genoeg te ontdekken,,samen met onze hond

A lovely little cottage, nestled in its own Glen. Everything you need for a short stay. The fire was lit on our arrival which was appreciated on a very rainy day. The views from the cottage are stunning. Great location for Lomond and the Trossachs. The host was friendly, helpful and responsive. Really recommend a stay here.

Good location close to Stirling and also close to the Trossachs national park. Took dogs and very clean, small garden access for the dogs.

Bed is on mezzanine floor up quite a steep ladder was OK for a few days but for longer stays a proper bed would be better.

Had a lovely stay! Really cosy place and loved the fire - perfect place to unwind for a few days. We had a dog and the private Glen was perfect for sniffs!

Very cozy, had all it needed, location was great and close to plenty of walks. We loved staying in the bitty for a couple of nights with the dog. The owner was very communicative and has a lot of thoughts for details!

Had a dog so bit hard to take for walk just outside as quite a busy road but we managed ok and so close to loch lomond can't complain really!

This Bothy is really nicely decorated and cosy. It’s surrounded by fields with sheeps roaming around and feels really peaceful. We really appreciated our stay and would recommend this place.

The Bothy was small and cosy but the lay out was maximised to make it spacious. The place is absolutely spotless. We stayed on Hogmanay for 2 nights and the log burner ensured we were warm and cosy the whole trip. I took my airfryer with us and between that and the facilities there, we cooked our breakfast and meals with no problems. We had our wee dog with us and he loved it too. We took him a walk in to Buchlyvie on New Year's Day where we had a couple of drinks in the 1851 Tavern where dogs are more than welcome. A perfect stay and we will definitely return this year.

Lovely, cosy stay at The Bothy. Well equipped, clean and dog friendly. We enjoyed the warmth of the stove as the stormy weather raged on.

We had a lovely stay at the bothy. It is a house in the garden of the owners of the bothy, but all the contact was with travelnest. We loved making fires and they were very kind to leave some treats for our dog! If you are afraid of hights beware the bed is in the open attic which you have to get up to using the stairs. But they provide a gate for security whilst sleeping!

We loved this property. Was well equipped and a super short drive to some amazing hikes, or the incredible town of sterling with beautiful restaurants. Nick Nairn’s restaurant is a few miles down the road and it was sensational. Property was easy to find, super cosy and a nice break from busy towns.

Very very very cute and nice place. Smartly furnished house, small from outside, big inside!! We loved house´s decoration, so many greetings to fluffy cows, sheeps, dogs and ducks in. the owner thought of everything, we even had basic food and prosecco available. I highly recommend!

I cannot recommend this place more, it was perfect, few little extras on arrival ie biscuits milk tea coffee and a bottle of fizz.. You have created something to be very proud of. We even booked a extra night instead of moving on

The owners thought of everything you might need, lovely garden and glen. Great location in the heart of places we wanted to visit. Good stop over on the way back from Barra. Very comfy and cosy and the prosecco and shortbread was a nice treat.

The bothy of Kim is perfectly located to allow visiting Stirling and Loch Lomond easily. The place is comfortable and cozy, with all needed amenities and a nice access to the garden and the Glen besides it. Kim was easily reachable by email and gave us all needed instructions to ensure easy access to the place. We'd definitely be back if visiting the area again!

As the bed was on a mezzanine level it was solely a mattress at the top of the stairs . I appreciate in this instance it wasn’t possible for the mattress to be raised any further- only a very slight negative.

The Bothy was really nicely furnished with a lovely log burner that kept the space cosy. The bed was very comfortable and the whole place was extremely clean and well presented. We were close to amenities and had easy access to some nice walks - we chose to stay in wooded areas which kept us out of the rain!

A great little find with everything you need for a quiet few days. Plenty of places to visit after a short drive. Will be back.

Super cute and cosy little Bothy. Spent 3 days here alone with my two small dogs, I felt very safe and comfortable. It’s the perfect little hideaway if needing some time to chill and relax. The Bothy has lots of nice home comforts and is set in a really beautiful location. Really strong good wifi (which was good as I had a bit of work to do) the fire is the best touch, windy and wet outside but sitting there with a glass of wine and the fire roaring was just perfect. Thanks so much for a perfect stay. I will hopefully be back at some point in the future. Kelly xx

De cottage is klein maar alles is heel goed verzorgd en straalt gastvrijheid uit. De trap naar de slaapzolder is steil. Niet zo geschikt als je slecht ter been bent maar voor ons (70+) toch geen probleem. We hebben ook genoten van de mooie tuin. Echt een aanrader, deze cottage.Prima uitvalsbasis voor de Trossachs

The Bothy was immaculate and had everything you need for your stay. Great communication from the owner from the beginning of me booking this. Beautiful out door seating areas with lovely views. Very comfortable loft bed and the wood burner kept the Bothy very cosy especially at night. Will definitely be back !!! 🥰

Beautiful little bothy which was perfect for our stay, it had everything we'd need for staying the weekend. We actually loved it so much we have said it would be ideal to go back to in the colder months to enjoy much more sitting next to the wood burner. Thank you very much.

The place was wonderful very cute and cosy, clean and well kept, lovely garden! And it was so nice to see all the animals (cows) in the morning! The shower is lovely and hot and the persoanal touches were very kind, thank you for a lovely stay. In all the place felt very homely! Perfect for a nice chilled few nights! We will defo recommend!

The bedroom area did get a bit hot at night but there is a fan provided if needed :) bed wasnt too comfortable- bit springy when you turned over however was able to sleep as its a very peaceful area. Another pillow at night would of been better :)
