The area around the property was very nice. It was within easy walking distance from the centre of town.

The location of the property was very noisy. There was a pub directly opposite the property which meant it was very hard for my family to sleep until the pub was closed and the street was quiet. There was no hairdryer which is kind of expected these days. No sugar either and only two milk/creamer pots so we couldn't all have a hot drink.

Nobody had the decency to call me to tell me there was an issue with the studio. I only found out when I was at the door at 18:00 on the day. I had to call the property owner to find out my booking had been cancelled a few hours earlier.

Communication with the staff is very difficult. We arrived early and wanted to find out if we could leave our luggage, but the phone went to voicemail and messages were answered an hour and a half later when we had already found a solution. We were four adults and there was only one small and one large towel in the studio, we wrote but never got a reply. It was extremely uncomfortable.

Check in was horrible as instructions were not posted in advance had to call for 25 mins to find out. The towels were soaking wet, the bedding was full of hairs, and the dishes were dirty. No hand towels or dish towels. Flickering light that couldn’t be turned off. Inaccurate description of listing, on one part it was shown to be for 4 guests when it was most certainly only possible for 3 guests. TV was very difficult to operate - could not properly scroll through the guide.

I would strongly advise against booking this apartment through Airbnb. I booked the apartment for myself and my three children a week ahead of my visit to Cambridge. They cancelled the booking, without apology, 6 hours before I was due to check in. The message I received from travel nest, the company that manages this appartment, simply said ‘good morning, please be advised the booking has been cancelled due to technical error that has resulted in a double booking on top of another booking’. Upon telling them that I was currently on my way to Cambridge with 3 children and now had nowhere to stay, they said: ‘we understand your frustration, the issue is from the platform you booked on has had a delay in linking the calendars and a double booking was made, its a technical error that we have no control over.’ ‘ full refund will be sent over, it may take 3/5 workong days’. Luckily I was able to check into a holiday inn (at greater expense) but I don’t want others to experience the same.

Great location, quiet street, nice samples of lotion etc, nice bathroom.

Bedding for the sofa bed was scrunched up in a pile in the wardrobe, which made it feel unclean. There were no pillow cases for spare pillows for sofa bed

Once we arrived at the Studio everything was fine and washing linen was all out and smelt fresh. We went out in Cambridge for the day and whilst we was out someone (staff) entered the property and took the bedding for the fouton which left me with no covers including duvet. I tried calling the manager on his phone on morning of check out but no answer after 3 attempts. £188 and I didn't even have a duvet.
