Lovely Humuplace 1-Bed Apartment in Birmingham

place had weird smell, obviously had damp issues as de humidifiers around place, electrics were buzzing which indicates an electric issue (potential fire hazard!). lots of extention cables with all sockets used, living room is very small. No working shower just a bucket in bathtub, toilet flash is extremely loud and goes on for ages. Door used for main door is an internal door with locks placed on it and therefore not safe. No space to park on street, have to park on nearby street, was worried about car. I checked out early due to issues and explained to host who dismissed my concerns. would advice avoiding this property for anyone considering it it's really not worth the risk.

There was only street parking no private parking as listed. A lot going on in the house, lots of things around and kitchen was cluttered with things to purchase. Host was responsive and dropped off a fan for the hot weather which was nice.

I really enjoyed my stay. The host is a very nice person. I was supposed to check out 11 am but my flight was canceled. I informed the host that I would like to check out around 1 pm due to my flight cancellation. The host replied “no problem “ without charging me any extra money.

It was clean and spacious. I would stay again. There are a lot of food shops nearby. There is on street parking available at less busier times which is great. The host has left a lot of drinks and snacks in the apartment which can be handy if you don’t want to go out. However they are chargeable.

I was a bit cautious of using things in apartment as I wasn’t sure whether they are chargeable or not. There are a lot of sale items about so it’s hard to know what you can use and what you can’t. It’s a busy street so it can be a bit noisy in the mornings which we don’t mind as we wake early. There was a strong smell of moth balls when you first enter but the smell dies down later.

Host were very helpful . Everything you need such washing machine ,dryer and iron etc. tv which was good.

Cleanliness of bathroom and funny smell. For the price is worth it if looking for a quick stay

It’s not perfect but if you’re looking for a place to stay in Birmingham for a fair price, this was absolutely fantastic. The host was lovely, gave really clear instructions on how to find the property and they also messaged us to make sure we were okay and settled in. It was only a 15 min walk to Villa Park for a concert so it’s really well situated for that. There is everything you might need at the property as well the option to buy food/more drinks/extra toiletries if you want. The bed is super comfy and we slept really well.

It could do with a little renovation but it still feels like a little home away from home.
