Captivating Isolde Cottage, with pool near St Ives

This cosy cottage is located in a wonderful rural spot, a short drive from the stunning golden 4 mile stretch of sandy dune beach at Gwithian. Gwithian is a small village with pubs and a surf school making a great day out but is only 2miles from the town of Camborne with all the facilities for daily needs too, (banks, supermarkets, leisure centre etc)
The cottage is just off the main A30 but at the end of a long drive surrounded by horses and trees making it an excellent retreat and location for a retreat or a place to explore from. St Ives and Newquay are but 20mins away and nearly all of Cornwall can be reached within an hour.
This beautifully refurbished cottage retains traditional character but also includes a host of modern comforts, making it an ideal home away from home. Please note that there is a low ceiling from the kitchen to the living room!
As a self-catering cottage, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has a fridge, hob, an oven, a kettle, a freezer, coffee machine, washing machine and a microwave.
The cottage is a perfect place to relax and offers a television and fast internet access.
There is one bedroom in this cottage which contains a double bed with an ensuite walk in large shower. There is a sofa bed downstairs.
Linen and towels are all included as well as some basic essentials to make your stay more enjoyable such as tea/coffee and milk.
We live onsite so are happy to help you with recommendations and help you settle in but you will also have your privacy.
The pool is a large outdoor pool, but not heated (average 20 degrees) It is generally available from June until end September. Pool hours are between 10am and 4pm and by arrangement. The pool is shared with us.
House Rules:
- Check-in time is 3pm onwards and check-out is 10am.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- There are on-site parking facilities available at the property.
- Pets are allowed at the property but prior permission must be required and fees apply. Max 2 dogs and dogs must be kept on a lead and not left in the property. A £25 fee per dog is charged for each stay.

Fabulous, relaxing, beautiful cottage with lovely hosts.
The cottage is gorgeous and Melissa is a fabulous host - there was a wonderful welcome basket on arrival. The cottage had a lovely little courtyard garden where we could sit in the sun but we also had access to the pool which was perfect for the hot weather. Kitchen was very well equipped - washing machine was useful as we had a sick child one day. Nespresso coffee machine was nice to have. Could access Netflix and Prime which was nice in the evening. Felt like a home from home.
So the only problem with the cottage is that we are tall and it was dinky. You had to remember to duck - on several occasions my husband didn’t! We also had way too much stuff (more than we needed so our own fault) for the storage but it wasn’t too bad.

overall positive, few minor adjustments required to bring up to a fantastic place to stay
secluded location, quiet and relaxing. clean and well presented
would benefit from a small tv in the bedroom. seating arrangements in the living room for relaxing ok but for snuggling up together not really comfortable. Smell of animals continues throughout stay, has to purchase plug ins and candles

Had an amazing stay at Isodale Cottage! Melissa the host was so welcoming and friendly. The cottage is compact but had everything we needed for a great stay. The pool was lovely and in a good location for exploring via car.

A lovely, quiet retreat.Beautiful location and cottage. Very clean and excellent facilities, Melissa has thought of everything to make life comfortable. A lovely afternoon cream tea and drinks were waiting for us on arrival. Location was great, far enough to be away from hussle and bussel, but the loveliest local beach of Godrevy was under 10 minutes. Would highly recommend.

Melissa as a host was wonderful - the lovely welcome hamper was a great touch - fizz, cream tea and some essentials to get us started was a nice bonus. The pool and surrounding garden were great to help us relax into our holiday. Hopefully we will be back and thank you for making us so welcome

Gorgeous Retreat
Beautifully decorated. Perfect location, nicely remote but close to everything in Cornwall too. Melissa is an excellent host, we had everything we needed. Accepts pets and left treats and bed for him too, made us feel very welcome from even before we arrived. Such a sun trap in the courtyard garden, gorgeous for breakfast and dinner, gets the sun morning and evening. Beautiful surroundings, long walks, beach is 10 minutes away.
Would be cold in winter, but lots of heaters throughout to warm up quickly. Small, but then we had a large dog and my partner is 6ft6.
