Lily's Cottage Suffolk Sleeps 2 with Pets

Warm, cosy and secluded dog-friendly cottage! Bigger inside than we were expecting. Lovely hosts who were very welcoming and happy to point out good dog walks around their grounds.

Cute dog-friendly cottage for two!

Great location, perfect size for a short break away, the place is so beautifully quiet and tucked out the way with a lovely route shown by the owner best to walk the dog. Ideal for visiting family locally, we had our own privacy whilst being local enough to easily visit and travel.

Perfect short break away

Lovely hosts and perfect base for exploring

Had a lovely stay at Lily’s cottage, exactly how it was described, peaceful setting in a lovely little village. Great hosts.
Will definitely be returning
Darrel & Kerry, Betsy the Frenchie

Lovely and quiet, beautifully decorated and well laid out. All we could ask for…. And dog friendly!

Tranquil base for Suffolk exploring, with many beautiful villages and pubs around.

Great hosts lovely location for us to access local towns.

Great stress free break!

Great location. Hosts could not have been more helpful. Very comfortable and it had everything you could need.

The cottage was ideal for a weekend break with our dogs. There were lots of trails for them to run along. The place was quiet and relaxing.
The host, David, was incredibly helpful from the moment we checked in.

Nothing in particular. Perhaps a fence around the cottage itself just to contain the dogs especially in the night.

Peaceful and relaxing

Lovely, freindly, helpful hosts.
Peaceful location.
Lots of wildlife.
Loved it.

Not a negative- but an enclosed garden area for dogs would be useful.
A bigger bed would be fabulous 👌

Lovely hosts in a peaceful location

Very comfortable one bedroom converted farm outbuilding. Nicely decorated and fitted out with quality fittings and furniture. A nice patio to sit and take in the sunshine of which there was a lot. The outside area was plentiful and lots of walks.

We were hoping that the garden would be fully enclosed for our dog to explore but it wasn’t but we managed.

A great place to stay for a few days to use as a base and explore Suffolk.

Had the loveliest time here. Such a peaceful little cottage. The cottage itself was stocked with everything you’d need, and some nice extra touches like an air fryer, BBQ, bathroom products etc. Everything was spotless clean - a small touch but something greatly appreciated was that the towels were fluffy and smelled freshly laundered.
Overall I would recommend to anyone. A fabulous place to stay.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, the cottage is lovely and the location is very peaceful.

Excellent cottage and great walks for the dogs on site.
Perfect location for Bury St Edmunds and the wine tour at Burnt House.
David and Laura, great hosts.

Super location and accommodation
Lily's Cottage is a lovely place to stay
David and Laura were so welcoming and helpful
The cottage furniture and facilities were of a very high spec
Lots of little personal touches around the cottage
We've stayed in expensive hotels that haven't provided the same attention to detail that David and Laura do
We will certainly stay again
Thank you for a wonderful time

The cottage was well appointed and as shown in photos. Being able to walk around the fields was lovely

We loved how peaceful the location was, it close to shops and take aways if needed. The BBQ was a fab addition to our stay. The cottage itself was a perfect size and beautifully laid out, everything we needed for a short stay!

The perfect peaceful retreat

The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and lovely garden outside. David and Laura were friendly and helpful. Plenty of nature and walks nearby for our dog.

Cosy retreat in the countryside

Lilys Cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. David and Laura were wonderful hosts and were there when you needed them but not intrusive . We had a lovely 2 night stay.

Wonderful quiet place to stay. Every room was very homely and clean. Very amenable hosts who were very helpful and responsive! Would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was fine, perhaps could have done with a small freezer.

Lovely location, very comfortable and nicely furnished. Could have done with the garden being fenced, as our dog had to

Dave and Laura provided great instructions to get the Lilys cottage. The cottage was ideal for what we wanted, spotless. All the facilities we could want with a lovely patio, garden furniture and garden area. The weather allowed us to make full use of the garden and make the most of the peace and tranquility.

Dave and Laura are excellent hosts and made us feel very at home and we would have loved to have been able to stay longer
We can reckoned Lilys Cottage without reservation

Lovely tranquil stay in an excellent cottage with very welcoming hosts

Lovely location with beautiful surroundings. We had a lovely break here and will definitely be back!

Perfect

The cottage is in a beautiful location, so peaceful and perfect for a relaxing stay. It is ideal for a couple and a dog and so comfortable.

The stay was perfect from booking to sadly coming home. David and Laura could not of been better hosts. The property is spotlessly clean and everything we needed was there. Loads of land for dog walks too. We will see you in the summer.

The perfect stay if you want peace and quiet.

Cozy and very quiet. In a beautiful location.

A lovely relaxing place to switch off and chill out. We really enjoyed it.

We had a really lovely stay at Lily’s Cottage and would definitely recommend it. The cottage itself was very spacious and spotlessly clean, which made it easy to relax as soon as we arrived. Everything felt well looked after and comfortable throughout our stay.

The bed was very comfortable and we both slept really well. The shower and bathroom were spacious, modern, and very clean, which was great after long walks during the day.

David, the owner, was excellent. He was friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with, making sure everything was straightforward and that we had what we needed.

One of the best parts of the stay was the surrounding land. It was perfect for walking the dogs, with plenty of open space for them to explore and enjoy. It made the whole trip feel very peaceful and relaxing.

Overall, a great place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere clean, comfortable, and quiet with plenty of space, especially if you’re bringing dogs. We’d happily return in the future.

Relaxing

Really enjoyable, comfortable and peaceful 4 night break.
Accomodation very tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean throughout.
Friendly host.
Beautiful countryside location with lots of wildlife.
Great location for dogs.

Lily’s Cottage was cosy, stylish, spacious and very clean. We loved the location - peaceful, rural, private with great walks from the door and very friendly hosts. It was a shame that the garden wasn’t fenced off for the dog but fortunately our current dog doesn’t like to lose sight of us so this wasn’t a problem for us. We will definitely return.

Wanted to escape for a couple of days with the dogs. Perfect location to be self contained and away from city life. Lovely rural setting with nice walks.

Location, facilities and cleanliness. Cottage was immaculate!

Perfect location to relax.

We're already looking for an excuse to head back to Lily's Cottage. The location is perfect and so peaceful. Laura was an excellent host; helpful and on hand but not intrusive. We had great weather and could just soak up the peace and quiet whilst sitting on the patio furniture. Great shower! The cottage had everything we needed. Thank you for having us.

Lovely location, well maintained, clean and peaceful

Stunning location with loads of land to explore, so peaceful and calming

Lily’s Cottage was exactly as we had hoped. Immaculate and tastefully furnished. A very comfortable bed a powerful shower. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. David and Laura our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and helpful. They were there if we had any questions

The whole package is great. Very well equipped , High quality furniture throughout .

Location is beautiful, so peaceful. Hosts are really lovely and made me and my dog welcome and relaxed.

Relaxing short break

Beautiful countryside escape with plenty of public footpaths nearby. Very clean and comfortable cottage with everything you could need.

Absolutely lovely host . Beautiful surroundings. , very clean and comfortable Lilly's cottage. Just a shame we wasn't there for longer.
Would recommend in a heart beat . I Christened the sweet sheep Eric and Eddie. Ha ha. Lovely addition to the family.
We hope to stay for longer next time.

Stunningly beautiful surroundings with a beautiful added cottage as a bonus.

It was in a lovely peaceful location. Very clean , lovely outside space as well

Relaxing , peaceful but still near enough to all local attractions

Lily's Cottage was exactly as described. We loved it. Off the beaten track in idyllic surroundings. Buddy loved his walks around the paddocks and fields. The bench just before the little blue bridge is a perfect spot to sit and catch the evening sun. David and Laura have thought of everything and were there if you needed them but not obtrusive in any way. Thoroughly recommend the Four Horseshoes pub nearby at Thornham Magna. The Premier Store in Mendelsham just a few miles away sells absolutely everything you could ever need. Thank you for a wonderful stay ❤️

Just Perfect

Great location, quiet but not isolated. Our hosts were very friendly and live next door. The area itself is central to a good many locations worth visiting. Car parking adjacent to the property.
Very clean and had the facilities you need.

Relaxing stay.

Lovely private space with all you could want - great facilities and super walking

Location was excellent for a rural experience. Very quiet and village pubs within easy driving distance for atmosphere and good food. Owners were great; available if required and supplemented information in the expansive handbook.

Rural, quiet, relaxed and comfortable.

Pulizia, accoglienza (anche da parte della cagnolina Izzy), posizione e contesto naturale.
Appartamento grande, spazioso e confortevole, dotato di tutto il necessario.

Ottima scelta

This was a perfect place for a mini getaway, the surroundings are beautiful and the building was very well maintained. We found everything we needed and appreciated the little things like good quality pots and pans that made cooking and cleaning effortless. We highly recommend this lovely space

Beautifully furnished, fabulous surroundings. Very friendly and obliging hosts.

Lily's cottage is a cosy getaway fully equipped with everything we needed for a couples short, self-catered stay. The location is ideally set in the grounds of Green farm surrounded with trees, hedges and a variety of wildlife including a couple of Muntjac who visited every morning just outside the cottage doors. The rural location is peaceful but within quick access to roads for travel to all the amenities you might need, supermarket, pubs, petrol etc. Lovely and quiet we were able to sit out on the patio then retire inside to the comfy sofa and watch a bit of TV before bed. Good size bathroom with lovely waterfall/separate head shower, heated towel rail and super soft towels. Worthy of note is that this is the first bathroom I've been in for a while that didn't steam up which is great when you are trying to use the mirror! The kitchen is well equipped including an air fryer and a great toaster. Lovely decor too with some nice little touches. Our hosts David and Laura were perfect, really nice people who were there if you needed them but otherwise left us to it (thanks for the apples ;). All in all, we had a great stay. A couple of suggestions I would make, a mirror to the bedroom, preferably near a socket for hair drying and makeup application. A matching hanger rail on the other side of the bedroom wall. A shelf or holder in the shower to put shampoo and shower gel, on but other than that a wonderful stay and we plan to be back soon.

Great couples get away location.

Beautiful little hideaway. Impeccably clean. Very friendly hosts who were very responsive, friendly and flexible. Highly recommended if staying in this part of Suffolk.

A peaceful situation with extremely helpful hosts.
Clean & comfortable. Well equipped
We would happily return if we needed a place to stay in the area in the future

This place was spotlessly clean & was a great find. It’s perfect as a base for touring Suffolk. It’s so peaceful & had everything you could need. The hosts were perfect, on site, not at all intrusive but available should they be needed. We have had a great few days in this accommodation & highly recommend it.

We had a lovely couple of nights here, so peaceful and relaxing. Was blown away by the attention to details and the little extra touches that were there. David and Laura were great hosts, left you to it, but were on hand if you needed anything. Would definitely look to stay again. In fact, I did try but the dates I wanted were already taken!

Lovely

Lovely place. Peaceful and serene. We loved it. Graceful hosts too.

Wonderful quiet location, property larger than expected and furnished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean. Very well placed for things to do and perfect if you don’t want to do anything but read a book in the garden

Fantastic accomodation

Excellent accommodation, beautifully furnished & well equipped. Relaxing & peaceful with an abundance of wildlife on the doorstep. Great hosts & location.
Would definitely stay again.

The cottage is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is in a rural location but close to main access roads. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
