lack of cleanliness.
Location, the property itself
Bed sheets are dirty and wasn’t changed, could at least wash them was stinky
Great space
Dirt & cobwebs in en-suite bathroom. Ridiculously small shower cubicles. Damaged pool table.
Beautiful part of house, close to motorway with plenty of parking. Inside was also great, when all amenities for cooking. Rooms were spacious.
The double beds were very small, despite the size of the room. Also the pool table was not flat and had rips, which meant it wasn't usable and shouldn't be advertised.
it was clean and spacious. also very comfortable
nothing to watch on tv
Honestly it was lovely. Better than I expected, big kitchen with heated flooring. Nice thick carpets. Host was friendly and helpful. Bedrooms were nice and spacious. I went up with friends and it was good to have 4 bedrooms and to have technically 3 en suites with easy access for the 4th room. It saved arguments. Impressed with how nice the bathrooms were. Loved the big spa bath. Well chuffed to get the master bedroom as I organised it. Happy to consider coming here again with a group in the summer.
Not much to dislike. There was some cracks in some corners as people mentioned, so I had low expectatations going in but I'm quite happy to deal with that for the price, I expected worse condition as Its such an antique building.I think its a really fair price. Especially if going with a group.
Accommodation was lovely, well equipped and plenty of parking and perfect location for our work in Glasgow.

Nothing the most disgusting and smelly place ever I would rather sleep in my fish and chip potatoe room rather than sleep in that disease
The bathroom was disgusting and un clean the toilet seat was broken and the carpets are gross and the dishwasher was broken and the rugs we're horrible and it was literally a horror house we left in less than 1 hour and went to the Hilton Hotel and payed a extra £381 to stay in a hotel. We hope booking.com give our money back because then it would be over £800 wasted down the drain. That villa wasn't even worth a penny the most diseased disgusting gross place ever. 🤮🤮🤮
Good location Comfy beds Easy check in
Had to chase property for the lock box number & wifi details Lacked basic cooking items - salt/pepper/oil Sofa bed was lacking bedding
The villa is 1/3 of the actual building property and it was still a large, spacious rental. There are 3 floors accessible through stairs only. The bathroom sizes varied but all had the essentials. Basic toiletries were available. There was an entire kitchen with lots of room. There was a dining area, a sitting area, and a billiard game area. We enjoyed both the sitting area with TV and the billiard room. We did not use the dining room. The property itself was interesting as you can see the old wood probably the original and then see how the owners are working on restoring or updating the property with newer walls, appliances, etc. The property had some interesting doors that led to nowhere so added some mystique to the place. There was a beautiful lawn area that we did not get to enjoy. The Celtic and Rangers FC stadiums were nearby. The owners also left an arrival basket with some chips and candy.
2 of the bathrooms did have some mold. As listed in the positives, some of the "original" wooden doors had cracks in them where the light shone through. The property was about 30 minutes away by car from the main Glasgow area. Getting around was difficult due to the many speed bumps, confusing intersections, and tons of roundabouts. Owner was hard to get a hold of. WIFI info was hard to find.
The beds were comfy, it was well stocked with dishes and glassware (fixing an issue that a previous review noted), it was huge, and had nice living area space, as well as beautiful from the outside with lovely architecture features, and stained glass.
So many things were randomly broken. Despite a clearly recent renovation, it must have been trashed at some point since then. This is besides the water damage from what seems to be a leaky roof that may or may not have been fixed. Radiator temp controls broken off, broken shower controls, sofa propped up with books, etc. Also, while superficially clean, in dire need of a deep clean (food in dishwasher, mold in shower grout, heavily stained carpeting, cobwebs and dust bunnies).
Lovely place couldn't fault it Big and spacious Ideal for larger groups A very traditional house Bedrooms were fine , Nice modern bathrooms Would return
Can't see out windows down stairs as they have tainted glass Probably fit in with the traditional look of the house A minor issue I'd say
a very beautiful property
the property was uncclean and many of the showers were not fit for use. the carpets were stained with lots of dust. the dishwasher had food and hair inside so we were unable to use it and the plates and cuttlery were dirty.
this house is so big. it is such a beautiful house. the host - zara respond so quick for every question. tq so much zara!
We didn't get the code for the lock box until about 20 minutes after arrival. It would have been nice to receive this prior to check in time.
