Great spot. Clean and well maintained.
Very cosy coastside cottage in Cellardyke just minutes away from Anstruther harbour. The kitchen is very well appointed and my wife and I were able to cook meals for our 1 year old simply and easily. The kitchen is also provided with some key essentials - salt, tea, coffee pods, dishwasher tabs, which make the stay so much more convenient. The beds are very comfy and the cottage is large and spacious with plenty of seating. The travel cot and high chair should be requested in advance if you have a little one. Be aware that there is an additional charge for pets. Highly recommend.
Clean and v convenient!
lovely accommodation, very homely, spotlessly clean with everything you need. Cellardyke lovely village, we ate in waterfront restaurant, lovely meal, good prices and in walking distance (5 mins)
Everything about the property was excellent.
Nothing!
The fact that everything that you could possibly need was there. The artwork and ornaments were themed throughout the house. Cosy and comfortable. Clean and fresh. Thought had been put into how everything was placed and layout.
Nothing
Brilliant place. Can't beat it.. If you stay in Anstruther you must stay here. It's perfect. Thankyou
I liked it was walking distance for everything we needed. We loved the house and everything in it. Very tasteful ❤️
I’m
The location and close proximity of the waterfront. Cottage very clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Neighbours upstairs were quite loud and argued a bit during our stay but apart from that we really couldn't fault our stay. Couldn't find recycling bins at property so everything went in the one bin in kitchen.
Great facilities.
So central for everything, immaculate and a lovely property. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the cottage from Friday 26th January to Monday 29th. The 27th was our 56th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to celebrate. So cosy and spotless and full of lovely touches. We hope to come back soon.
Close to amenities, house done to a high spec

Wonderful place in a great location. Photos don’t do it justice. Lots of space, lovely and clean. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely location right on the coast!
Gorgeous cottage in perfect location, short walk to Anstruther harbour. Great starting point for coastal walks. Cottage extremely well equipped for every need (eg cooking meals) and very comfortable and quiet. We had our small dog who felt right at home. Would love to stay here again.
Lovely cottage, great facilities, nice and warm, very comfortable beds.
The cost for a dog doubled from when we booked to £20 per night.
Very comfortable, well equipped and in a great location.

Property was spotless! Very comfortable and a great location. Second visit to this property.

Great host and great house right next to the see. Clean, well furnished, great location. Thanks
The decor and furnishings were of a very high quality
No view and no outside space - not a problem in October but maybe would be in summer.
Equipped with all the amenities you could possibly want. Exceptional quality of finish throughout and spotlessly clean. Extremely comfortable bed and superb location.
The only thing we would suggest is a slightly later checkout from 10am to 11am, but understand it has to be cleaned.
This cottage is superb! Every detail has been thought of, and the quality of furnishings and the kitchen items is amazing! We loved our stay here. The bed was super comfy and it is so roomy. The proximity to Anstruther was fantastic too. So close but away from the crowds. You could hear the Sea at night! Loved it
Parking is a little tricky. The only downside but in saying that we still parked quite close each night
Everything. Well appointed lovely cottage

Beautiful home, full of anything you could need for a great stay. The location was perfect - close to Anstruther's main strip but tucked away enough to be peaceful.
Great cottage with excellent facilities. Very good location for visiting Anstruther by foot and places further afield by car (like St Andrews). The cottage was clean, tidy and comfortable. We loved being able to take our dogs with us too. Parking is a little tricky but we got lucky on our second night and managed to park right outside.
Fantastic accommodation in a great location in easy walking distance from Anstruther. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.
There was nothing to dislike
Everything the theme of the whole house was superb very clean very comfortable 5 stars all the way made our stay in Anstruther more enjoyable would recommend this Coastal Cottage to everyone .
We found parking ok but could be difficult as it's a busy street.
Beautiful flat quality bedding and towels, great location 👌
Gute Lage, riesiges Appartement, sauber und ordentlich. Nur zu empfehlen.
Kein Parkplatz. Aber es gibt einen günstigen, großen Parkplatz in der Nähe, ca. 5-10min. Fussmarsch. Und zum be- und entladen der Koffer gibt es genug Möglichkeiten vor der Tür.
We felt completely at home, very comfortable and cozy. The bathtub was a great amenity for me.
Good location, clean, well furnished and well equipped.
Nothing really
The location in an old fishing village was lovely. Just a stones throw from the beach. Also very close to the shops, restaurants etc
Parking can be tricky. However, you are made aware of that at the time of booking, so not something to moan about after the stay. We were lucky & managed to get parked close by, each time we arrived back at Coastal Cottage
I left my EarPods in their small white charging case - which are showing up on my ‘Find My’ app. Can you keep them secure for me please. Please contact me on 07816176040 Jamie
A party of three female family members and two small dogs. We visited here for the first time. The cottage is really lovely and so close to walk into the village of Anstruther. We walked the coastal path to Pittenweem then onto Elie for lunch at the Ship Inn-a a ‘must visit’. We spent time in St Andrews before travelling back to Crail where - Tues to Sunday - there is a lobster shack at the small harbour. I didn’t eat here but the food looked amazing. Remember wine and bread if you fancy it. The cottage is really comfortable with lots of little touches everywhere you look. The rear court is not part of the owner’s land which I don’t think is noted in the description but a very short walk takes you to a small sandy/grassed bay towards Cellardyke which our dogs loved. All in all this is a really fab place to stay and highly recommend- we had a great time.
Everything!

Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean, great location for coastal walks
Excellent facilities in the house, warm, perfect for self catering. Great location for visiting other pretty coastal towns and local walks
Some noise from flat above early morning and occasional from workman in the yard behind.
Spacious, very clean and well equipped .
beautiful interior
nothing
Lovely property, modernisation very tastefully done enhancing the quaintness and the unique features of the cottage, very very impressed.
Zero
Cottage is very close to the city centre and amenities. Place is very specious and very well furnished. We loved all the available blankets for the evening rest. Fully fitted kitchen with dish washer and washing machine was great.
There is no designated parking place for the car. One needs to find a new place every day if you move. This is often stressful for me personally and for other people on the spectrum, but of course not the owners fault.
lovely cottage in Cellerdyke. everything as described. Comfortable beds and lounge. ideal for the Fife Coastal walk, and 5 minutes from Anstruther harbour and restaurants. Great communication from Alan & Travelnest. We would stay again
Really spacious. Lovely furnishings and everything provided. All in all a super property.

Beautiful, quirky cottage. Very clean, comfortable and well appointed.

28-30th January, 2023 - The house was spotless. The owner had obviously spent quite a lot on the fittings / decor. The kitchen was very well appointed with every type of utensil etc. Alan responded very quickly to emails. Lovely spot for us and the dog.
Clocks needed new batteries. That was all!!!
looked tiny from the outside but was huge on the inside. Very comfortable and very modern inside. The Wi-Fi was definitely a must as Cellardyke doesn’t have the best mobile service. Well appointed kitchen, lovely living room and probably the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in.
The only thing that didn’t work was the Amazon stick at the property, thankfully I had brought my own but that’s the only negative I could find.
Spacious high spec cottage in excellent location within the area, the street and property has an amazing atmosphere like going back a few hundred years! very warm heating, easy access
so parking is a hit or miss on the street, worst case scenario we had a 2minute walk but we got parked directly outside 90% of occasions we needed to get parked. I wouldn’t complain about this because it’s a ‘time warp’ period/conservation location so plenty of room to park your boat round the back…
Photos didn't do the place justice. It was quirky, well appointed, comfortable and warm. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linen. Coffee machine in the kitchen was a nice added bonus. Lovely flowers and items throughout. A lot of thought has gone into the cottage and it really shows.
Loved everything. There was nothing we didn't like or appreciate.
Fantastic cottage. Very clean. Had everything we needed for our stay and more. Great location for coastal walks. Would definitely recommend.
Nothing
Clean, comfortable and cosy with the central heating being very effective. Kitchen was very well equipped and bathroom was bright and spotless.
parking, which had to be on the street outside the property was very hit or miss.
The location was great you walked in to Anstruther five minutes loved it.
Nothing to me it was perfect
House was beautiful , clean and provided all you needed. Loved it. Although set in a narrow main street it was lovely and quiet
Parking was an issue- not just pertinent to the property but in general. We had dogs and there was no private area - whilst it did not spoil our break it would have been easier. My fault when booking as didn't realise this. Would certainly return but maybe not with the dogs.
Good location, about 100 metres or so to public parking in Anstruther. Daily rate £1.20, so inexpensive, but needed as parking outside property is a matter of luck (and we weren't lucky!) Comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped.
Internet connection doesn't extend much beyond living room and 2 bedrooms.
A lovely, spotlessly clean cottage in a great location.
The house was nice but spoilt by having cars parking right outside the front windows the whole time, including a large camper van. This is allowed on the street so the photo illustrating the cottage doesn't reflect the reality.
sehr gute Lage , sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet
kein eigener Parkplatz keine Blumen vor dem Haus
Communications with TravelNest and the owner were excellent. The place was gorgeous, roomy, comfortable and very well equipped. The location to cafes and peacefulness near the water were perfect.
Beautiful house in a brilliant location .
Stylish, comfortable, very clean and well equipped
Sometimes difficult to park nearby
Perfect location close to the Anstruther Harbour and the coastal path, which offers easy walking/hiking. The apartment is on a pretty street and is very well kept. We enjoyed the local bakery and corner grocery store, which is just up the hill from the cottage and have the friendliest staff. I can recommend this location.
loved the cottage it was absolutely immaculate and so clean. good quality bedding. teas coffees, shower gels etc all supplied.
parking as the street was so busy. also the early check out 10am considering you can’t get into the property till 4 seems a bit early.
Coastal cottage is amazing - beautifully presented, clean and well-equipped. a great location and a beautiful base for time in Fife.
Beautiful clean house, very well located. We had a great short stay here, a pity it wasn’t longer!
Set in a historic fishing settlement. Close to Anstruther and harbour which provides excellent fish and chips and a good 9 hole golf course. We also enjoyed the Fife Coast Walk from Crail.
fantastic newly finished home! very comfortable!m for our family trip.
A very nice house, perfect location. Clean, cosy and spacious.
Location good it was self catering
SELF-CATERING!
It was excellent.
The cottage is gorgeous. Very comfortable and homely. The location is quiet but close to the centre of Anstruther. Loved it.
10am check out is a bit early, especially for weekend. Thankfully we were able to extend without any issues.
The location was convenient for walking into Anstruther to catch buses or for places to eat. The Fife coastal path was only a short distance away. The property was very clean.
The parking was tricky at times and because of narrowness of street, cars were parked immediately outside bedroom window. Would have been pleasant to have an outside sitting area. Thought there might have been some milk/‘welcome pack’ on arrival.
Very well presented lovely flat in a good location for exploring the fife coast and the golf courses Alan was very good at responding and very helpful to make our stay very enjoyable
The location was great and cottage had everything we needed
Ideal location and much nicer than the photos suggest.
very well equipped and presented. Excellent location close to all amenities
Parking limited but available close by
The Coastal Cottage was immaculately clean, in an excellent location and far exceeded our expectations. The photographs on the site do not do this property justice. It is very spacious and the furniture and decor are of a high standard.
I honestly cannot fault our stay here. It wasn’t always easy to park outside the property but the streets of Anstruther weren’t created to accommodate vehicles so I wasn’t bothered by this.
Cottage was immaculate. So tastefully decorated & had everything we could possibly need. Fabulous location too.
It was perfect.
The cottage was beautifully presented very clean and comfortable everything you could possibly need.
very clean and quiet
location . lovely decor and well equipped
layout - bathroom down stairs . no tv in kitchen
Lovely property. Very clean, everything you need. We would return for sure.
Nothing
lovely place with lovely decor and clean and comfy. love the taps!
could have done with some milk so we could make a cuppa in the morning after a late arrival, but it’s a minor thing!
Coastal Cottage was very clean and extremely well furnished. Everything you could possibly need is there. The photographs online do not do it justice. It’s like The Tardis! We were warm and cosy and within walking distance of Anstruther with it’s shops and restaurants. Just along the road is the amazing Cellar 1 Michelin * restaurant: fabulous for a special occasion. The only downside is the lack of an allocated parking place on a busy narrow street. It’s pot luck trying to find one. However, if this doesn’t worry you I highly recommend Coastal Cottage.
beautiful cottage , the pictures don’t do it justice! everything we needed and more ! The beds were so comfy and the whole cottage was spotless. stunning location Definitely be back
The cottage was beautifully appointed but still homely. There was everything we needed in the kitchen and it was so useful having the washing machine. It was walking distance from the town centre and it was easy to park nearby.
absolutely everything.Everything you could imagine was provided in kitchen , bedrooms , bathroom & lounge.Spotless .😁
loved everything
high standard of decoration and nice furniture. comfortable rooms. Well appointed kitchen. shower good. WiFi good. good heating.
nothing really. parking a bit of a challenge.
The cottage is extremely well furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Everything is good quality and very comfortable. The location is great and just a short walk to the seafront and pubs and restaurants.
There really is nothing bad to say about this lovely little place.
Everything was great!Feel more at home.Warm, nice and good.I recommend this cottage👌
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coastal Cottage, Anstruther and didn’t want to come home. Will definitely book again.
We had a good stay in your lovely cottage, very cosy and well equiped. We regret we didn’t book more nigths. The nice, split level rooms were very clean. They are even better than on the AirBNB photo’s. The cottage is close to the harbour. We walked a part of Five coastal path.
Great location and spotless.
Nothing
Fantastic cottage full of character ideally located for exploring the East Neuk. Lovely and spacious with great kitchen and bathroom. Very comfy bed. Would highly recommend it.
The cottage is absolutely beautiful. Everything is of consistent and exceptional high quality. All you need is provided just take yourselves
The cottage was in an excellent location, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Alan was easy to get hold of with key information. We loved it and so nice they accepted dogs.
The light switches for the rooms are all in odd places, but that is a minor thing
location
no sea view but two steps from house sea view great location very relaxing
Everything, lovely cottage very comfortable and clean. Good location. Would definately book again
I can't the cottage
Property is lovely , clean and presented well. Parking is a issue as there is no onsite parking as stated in property listing at time of our stay and the street parking availability is very limited if at all. Nearest public pay car park some 4 to 5 minutes walk. We were informed by Owner not to park at rear of property as it’s a Turning area Would highly recommend property but be prepared to walk to your car.
Incredibly clean, very well equipped, a welcoming feel, and incredible location just by the coast, parking is a bit tricky, but we always found somewhere not too far away. Great stay, highly recommended.
absolutely everything. so Modern yet so Quaint. basically 5 star accommodation.
nothing
Beautiful cottage, fantastic location, loads to see and do in the East Neuk…. Amazing Chinese in next street…. Highly recommended
Lovely place in a great location. Would highly recommend.
Superbly clean, well presented, well provisioned and surprisingly spacious. The photo's published don't do it justice. It was accomodation for a nearby wedding and wished we had longer to enjoy it. Would definitely stay again.
The decor and furnishings were excellent. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean.
A parking space next to the cottage and outside seating area would be welcome.
All round great house. Great location, spotlessly clean and well equipped, in a fabulous part of Scotland.
the property was absolutely spotless and clean 5* excellent location and excellent facilities, absolutely everything we needed was there. most comfortable holiday cottage for a break.
only thing missing was a small sitting area at the rear of the cottage to enjoy the weather, it would have been absolutely fabulous if it had a sea view.
Accommodation perfect so clean, fully kitted out and very comfortable for myself and my dog. Will definitely return discovered winter yoga on Crail beach. The bath is amazing. Great location to explore East Neuk Alan the owner is very helpful and responsive via email or phone call.
Located on a charming street can easily drop off luggage may not always get parked outside cottage however found parking easily in next street. No direct sea view however close by is a rock area that you can view the seascape and catch sunrise sunset.
Quaint higgedly piggedly cottage walking distance from the harbour. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds. The 5th bed is in a communal walkway. Uneven floors throughout the house so unexpected steps.
A great property, very well appointed and comfortable. Brilliant hosts, easy to deal with. Well recommended.
Very easy access to everything.
Well appointed cottage in a great location
Excellent!
The cottage was clean, the location excellent
Great location , spotless , very comfy , has everything you need , a real gem
Nothing
This is a very spacious and well appointed cottage that is finished to an extremely high standard. Kitchen has all the essentials and the lounge and bedrooms are fully furnished in a stylish Coastal theme. The place was spotless. We had contact with owner Alan on Day 1 and he was very nice to deal with and was available should any help be needed. The location is absolutely perfect for enjoying Anstruther, Cellardyke, and has path down to sea front that gets you on to the rocky shore within 1minute from the back door. This was an excellent option for our dog to get a quick walk etc as property doesn’t have enclosed outdoor space for that purpose. We had a wonderful stay here and look forward to coming back soon.
Nothing at all. The property is across different levels which may be an issue for some elderly and disabled people. We sometimes needed to park up to 200 yards away which didn’t bother us at all.
We loved our stay in the cottage . The location is ideal , just a few minutes walk from the harbour . The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean, bright and comfortable. Street Parking very easy as was entry. Would love to return sometime . Would certainly recommend a stay .
Bright and fresh excellent shower
No issues
Location Facilities
Excellent facilities in an excellent location. Would definitely recommend
Great wee house in good location for Anstruther.
Beautiful cottage, picturesque extremely comfortable and clean superb WiFi connection great location all amenities within walking distance friendly locals, and of course fabulous fish and chips!! Will definitely book again and highly recommend ❤️
The location was very central and easy to find. The cottage was exceptionally clean and bright and everything was provided. It was decorated and equipped to a high standard.
We had no complaints - it would have been nice to have some outside space - especially in the beautiful weather we had. There was also no signal for our phones but again this isn't a complaint!
The property was very spacious, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It was a real pleasure staying and we will be back!
Location was fantastic with the sea just around the corner. Took a wee chair down the lane for breakfast with a view.
A blackout blind would have helped in big bedroom.
This is a lovely quirky cottage in a great location. Spotlessly clean and had great facilities. We will return
Nil
Had everything facilities wise that you needed and more Bedding and towels top quality Spotlessly clean
Nothing - all good
It is a beautiful cottage and was spotless. It is quirky and provides everything you need for a staycation. The cottage is around 15 minutes walk from The Waterfront - lovely seafood restaurant, and the Wee Chippy.
The lounge windows look directly into the cars parked almost against the windows - you would need to close the shutters to stop people looking in as they walked by - unless of course you are not particularly bothered and like to people watch. The kitchen door and window look out onto lockups and garages, unfortunately you cannot park at the back as that area outside by the kitchen door does not belong to the cottage. It is hit and miss if you managed to park your car to unload outside the cottage as it is a two way road plus cars belonging to other householders parked all along the narrow path. That said, about a 10 minute walk away is a car park where you can leave your car.
The property location is amazing, 5 Minute walk to the harbour and shops/restaurants The cottage itself is stunning it feels like a home away from home, the beds and the bedding was so comfortable we wanted to pack the bed with us if we could have. The house is spacious and facilities in the house is great. Our weekend trip was amazing and couldn’t fault the property one bit. Stunning. We can’t wait to come back.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
Location fabulous. Everything at fingertips. Walking distance to anstruther ....scenic spots, hospitality close by, shops. Perfect.
Struggling here but if pushed... possibly outdoor seating at cottage but as within such close proximity to beautiful harbour and other outdoor places possibly irrelevant.
Very clean
TV did not work, property advertising photographs misleading as no TV's in any of rooms. ( TV repair company arrived on second day of stay, they fixed issue after some time finding their way around property. Owner did no inform me of TV issue until arrival at property, he then did not communicate how repair would be complete until I made call to property manager)The propery is advertised as three bedrooms - not the case, again misleading. Owner contacted me to advise not suitable for 6 occupants, again why promote property in this way if not accurate. Soundproofing in smaller second bedroom not good, staircase leading to property above directly above second bedroom, very noisy at times. Parking is not too good, used next street up. Had a visit from property agent on the Thursday, she said we should be leaving today, I explained that we were not leaving until Friday, she said the plumber was coming to do repair, I asked. If this could be rescheduled as we had been inconvenienced enough over the course of the week.
